I like to take dinner with my family. Every day, we all family members join together in the evening and take our dinner. Some dinners are special. Here, I would like to talk about one such dinner which was special for me and I enjoyed it a lot. Actually Last Year, my cousin got married and we invited the newly wedded couple to dinner at our home. I was so happy to see my cousin and her wife at the dinner.

My mother prepared Special dishes on that day. I remember she cooked shahi-paneer by adding dry fruits and spices in it. Its fragrance in the kitchen was increasing my appetite. She also prepared mixed vegetables which is my favorite dish. In sweets, she prepared Kheer which is a Punjabi traditional dish. My mother cooked all the dishes with so much love. She put her best in preparing delicious food.

That was the day; I was impatiently waiting for the dinner. At 7pm, my cousin and his wife arrived at our home. We received and welcomed them. After exchanging greetings, first my mother served juice and snacks. Then I helped my mother in serving the food on the table. Food was served in elegant bowls which we use for food when any guest joins us for dinner. Then we started having the dinner. We shared talks while we were having the dinner. The food was so tasty. We all enjoyed the food to our heart. The guests praised my mother for offering such a delicious food. Infact my cousin’s wife asked if my mother would help her in learning to cook such dishes. The dinner made us happy. It was really a great get-to-gather over the dinner.

This dinner strengthened (made strong) our family bonding with the guests/my cousin’s family. We were having cheerful moods after dinner. Then we clicked photos with the guests. We presented gifts to the new couple. It was a great time.

So that was the dinner which I enjoyed a lot.
