1) Some people believe that violent media directly results in violent behaviour. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is a frequent topic of discussion that violent news affects the behaviour of both children and adults. Personally, I believe that violent publishing has a negative impact on our society.

First and foremost, these days, the media such as televised games, television and films become an inseparable part and parcel of our life. Also, the media has been becoming more and more violent content. And according to psychologists people who often watch violent films and movies tend to commit a crime in real soul. Since these kinds of films give an aggressive mood for the nation. In fact, researches show that television and film fighting contribute to both a short-term and a long-term increase in aggression and terrorism in viewers. For example, about 2 years ago, the number of crimes increased significantly after showing on TV programs and movies about rampage in the USA.

Second of all, nowadays, various video games are common among the youths. Also, an excessive amount of time spent by the young population on such video kill games affect their behaviour. Furthermore, teenagers and young adults who play online games about violence regularly stand out from the other their peers with their aggressive and violent behaviour. As people especially the youths tend to do violent actions in real life. For instance, last year, video kill games such as “squid game” became popular in Japan and in Korea. A lot of people played this game online and day by day they began to play this game in their real life. Even, a number of people started to kill each other due to this game. After that, the government of Japan and Korea banned playing these sorts of televised games.

To sum up, I would stress that I support definitely the statement and my arguments confirm this.

2) Nowadays young people spend too much of their free time in shopping malls. Some people fear that this may have negative effects on young people and the society they live in. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some people fear that there are many adverse effects on youngsters who waste their free time in shopping malls. Personally, I completely agree with this view.

For a variety of reasons, it would be wrong to set a habit among young people that they just pay attention to material things. Going to shopping mall takes a considerable amount of time from people’s daily schedule, so they will have not enough time to focus on doing anything else. It is clear that young people are not aware of the amount of time and money wasted. If they are immersed in shopping, there will be a lack of opportunities to attend to soft-skill teaching classes which are necessary to learn more about.

Another aspect to consider is that , The more expenditure on shopping is, the more money they need. So if they do not have enough cash to afford these material things,  They might end up being a criminal like pickpockets, robber or burglar to satisfy their needs. Moreover, spending most of time and money on shopping, young people’s social skills such as communication or relationship management might decrease noticeably. This will result in the possibility of becoming a passive and isolated person. Also, The world has many miraculous things to see, so We should not waste our time, even our money on purchasing unnecessary things. A book or a short travel is more valuable than materialism.

For the reasons mentioned above, it seems to me that young people should not spend too much of their free time in shopping malls since It is not the best way to enjoy life.

3) In some countries, advertisers increase the amount of advertising which tries to persuade children to buy snacks, toys and other goods. Parents object to such pressure on children. But some advertisers claim that there is useful information in these advertisements. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

It is believed that children are influenced by the adverts they see on social media, while others hold the view that these advertisements can be a source of knowledge for the young generation. Although important aspects of those adverts are undoubted, I believe that they have negative impacts on children.

Proponents contend that children, who got easily swayed away by the misleading adverts, have been becoming vulnerable as they are targets of marketing strategies. As a result, youngsters pester their parents to buy more goods, which makes them a part of the throw-away society. For example, Chocos, a cereal selling company, was able to increase its turnover only by telecasting attractive advertisements on kids channels like Disney after facing revenue losses in 2015. Therefore, advertisements aimed at children should be limited as they are making child materialistic.

However, people in favour of advertisements argue that adverts help to increase the children’s awareness about different topics and through the medium of educational adverts, they can learn something new. For example, Vinamilk advertised its milk on the television by linking its products with Vietnamese rich culture, and this advert received a huge appreciation from parents and the society as it portrayed their country’s culture as a way of promoting their product. Moreover, there are some adverts also help the small child to inculcate good habits in themselves like the advert of Colgate toothpaste, which motivates children to brush their teeth twice a day.

In conclusion, adverts do more harm to the children than good by manipulating them to buy more goods, and, thus, those should be banned by the government.

Sample 2

Those who argue in favor of advertising to children point out it is not necessarily unfair. There are situations when even these proponents would concede advertising is exploitive, such as when there are commercials for cereals with high sugar content during cartoon shows. However, this is only a single instance. Many children, especially as they get older, are capable of thinking rationally, controlling their need for instant gratification, and would therefore like to be informed about new products they are interested in. If a child who is 10 years old sees an advertisement for a water park or sporting event, they might convince their parents to enjoy a fun, outdoors activity.

Nonetheless, most children are negatively impacted by advertisements as they lack self-control. Adults are more capable of inhibiting their desires while children are not experienced enough and their cognitive development does not allow for higher-order reasoning. For instance, if a young child sees an advertisement for alcohol or a violent videogame, there is a strong likelihood they will want to try it. Even if they do not actually get an opportunity to use an age-inappropriate product, the appeal of these products has already been deeply implanted. Recent research supports the contention that habits and impressions formed in early childhood are harder to leave behind later in life.

In conclusion, despite the feasibility of certain advertisements for older children, most marketing directed at impressionable children should be banned. This will be a difficult process to manage but many countries have undertaken it already.

Essay 4

4) Police in some countries like England don’t carry guns. Some people don’t approve of this because they think that police with guns gives them security. Others think that police carrying guns decreases crimes. What is your opinion? Give relevant examples and experiences.

Carrying guns is not allowed for the citizens in most of the countries. But for the police who are duty to keep the peace of public, many people think they should carry guns for their jobs demand. I agree with the view that police with guns can protect people better and help decline the crime rate.

Because of the danger of the police’s job, it is necessary for them to have guns. Criminals usually carry weapons which are the threat to masses. In this situation, if the police have no powerful weapon such as guns, they will certainly be in an inferior position to flight with the criminals. Carrying guns can not only prevent masses from hurt  but also protect the police themselves. It will raise the scare of massif police to get injuries or even deaths. Thus, police with guns keep people feel safer.

On the other hand, as guns make police more powerful, it can give criminals a sense of frightening so that they may give up the thought of crime. For example, the rubber may drop down what he robbed when there is a pistol from the police toward him. In addition, more criminals are arrested and their criminal behaviours are prevented. All these factors help to reduce crimes.

However, police carrying guns can also cause some accident such as misfire or misjudgement of police. Sometimes, it is the guns of police cause the injuries instead of criminals’. So the rule of police without guns in some countries aims at guarding against damage causing by mistake. But I think these situations can be avoided through good training of police.

To sum up, my view is that the advantages of this problem are weightier than the disadvantages. The well-trained police should carry guns when they are working so that they can more efficient in their jobs.

Essay 5

5) Some believe that nuclear weapons benefit the world at large. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

There are a number of people who would argue that nuclear weapons have more benefits overall for the world. However, I completely disagree with the statement. In my opinion storage of nuclear weapons are costly and difficult; furthermore, these weapons are a constant threat to world safety.

The reason I completely disagree with the aforementioned statement is related to the storage and maintenance of nuclear weapons. To elaborate, nuclear weapons required intensive attention because of their radioactive rays which are dangerous for all living things. Therefore, not all countries have those facilities and protocols which are required to ensure safe environments around nuclear weapons. Thus, there are no benefits for spending a lot of budget and time to look after nuclear weapons, which could harm any living thing. For example, Chernobyl nuclear incident was a complete disaster in terms of economically and human life.

Furthermore, nuclear weapons are a constant threat to all living things. In other words, a small conflict between two countries that owns nuclear weapons could ignite a nuclear war. Therefore, nuclear weapons have enough power to annihilate the world in hours and leave total destruction. For instance, two cities Nagasaki and Hiroshima who were victims of nuclear attacks during World War 2 still have negative health effects on people who are living there. Hence, Nuclear weapons are the tools of mass destruction.

In conclusion, I totally disagree that nuclear weapons benefit the world more. In my opinion, these weapons are a waste of money and time and required a lot country’s budget; moreover, a nuclear weapon holds a potential threat to all humans.

6) In some places, old age is valued, while in other cultures youth is considered more important. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

In this day and age, several people assume that elderly people might play a crucial role in human society while others believe that investing in youngsters might be more worthy than seniors. From my point of view, I believe both sides have a similar position in our community with the reasons below.

In some nations, the old are valued due to the experience and knowledge which they have collected for their entire life. Young adults might be led by an experienced leader who gives a helping hand for pupils to have a good orientation for their future career. In fact, knowledge is similar to a substance between generations which pioneering scientists have discovered and created a stable base for youth. For instance, in recent years, the lack of senior scientists has caused a huge impact on the quality of new products. As a consequence, numerous brands in different categories have been paid for loans which mostly come from basic mistakes due to the non-experienced young workers.

On the other hand, other nations tend to invest money in youngsters whom governments expect to be a potential generation. The young generation might open up numerous opportunities to change the entire world which have been proved in the history timeline. For instance, in World war II, Kalashnikov who is a genius Russian soldier created the AK-47and took a vital role in the victories of the Russian army. Furthermore, several researchers have indicated that  young adults who are not dependent on qualifications might be more creative than experts. Various incredible inventions have been created due to an immediate thought which mostly receives a good investment on their projects.

In conclusion, although those might be a controversial problem since governments and international organizations might consider making a good decision which supports both sides to make the world better.

Sample 2

Every nation has their different tradition and norms. Similarly, aged people get high respect in some cultures, while in others youngsters are considered more valued. In this essay, I will discuss both the perspectives and then form my opinion.

Proponents of first view-point contend that old people have more experience and wise knowledge as they have come accrosse many situation throughout their life. World can get great benefit from their experience. So, due to huge knowledge and precious experience they get more respect in society. Moreover, they claim that grown ones also sacrifice their whole life to offer better life to their offsprings. They have done lot of hard work to make their children’s future bright. Consequently, they do not get high respect, they earn it through their hardships for their new coming generations.

Advocates of second view-point keep up that youngsters are back-bone of a nation, they are the future of nation. They will become the future doctors, teachers, engineers and will contribute in the development of nation. As the development of nation is fully dependent on its youth, as a result they get more respect . Furthermore, they argued that youngsters also have adapted with technology in far better way, where old ones are still grappling to learn fundamental use of technology. So, they have a notion that old people have served enough as they can and now the entire spotlight should be on the youngsters because they are the coming future of nation.

In my opinion, old population gets huge respect in society owing to their wise wisdom and better eyesight. They also make world better place to live for their coming generations. Whereas youngsters are considered future of a nation with strength to adapt with new technology that is why they are more valued in some cultures. I think that, the respect of different age groups is different according to the mindset and expectations towards them by society.

Essay 7

7) A rise in the standard of living in a country often only seems to benefit cities rather than rural areas. What problems might this difference cause? How might these problems be reduced?

Improving the living standard is unquestionably the aim of all countries. Some people deem that, the citizens in an urban area will be the sole beneficiary of the improvement of living standards, and the suburb will not enjoy this benefit. In this essay, I will elaborate on the potential reasons responsible for this situation and provide possible solutions.

The uneven development of living standards between urban areas and rural areas is because of the two foremost causes. Firstly, one of the reasons is the different regions of the economy. It is undeniable that compared with the rural area, cities always be considered as the centre of financial such as London in the UK and Shanghai in China. Therefore, the demand for the labour force in cities will be higher than citizens in an urban area have more job opportunities, so the government could improve the living standard easier, among them, increase both salaries and welfare. Secondly, urban and rural areas have totally inverse aim on their development. It is undeniable that the primary agriculture industry is the pillar industry in the countryside, and the formation of the economy is quite simple and unitary in rural areas. By contrast, in urban areas, they own prosperous manufacturing industries and tertiary industries. Consequently, there are adequate products and choices in cities to improve living standards.

However, there are still possible measures that can be taken in order to solve the increasing gap of living standards between urban and rural areas. A concerted effort must be made to allow for social mobility, which means the government needs to transfer some urban resources to the countryside and ensure the opportunities that are owned by the  city-dwellers could also be provided equally for people living in the remote area.  have must be made available to those in rural areas too. Education, for instance, the education level and teaching quality are totally disequilibria between city-dwellers and rural citizens. Thus, governments should construct libraries and provide training for teachers in the countryside just as what they have done in the city. In addition, the government could construct a different plan for urban and rural areas, in order to improve their living standards simultaneously. Consequently, every region, either rural or urban, should have proper plans for improving living standards.

In conclusion, although during the process of improving living standards, rural areas see no benefit at all and are often forgotten or left behind and catch only a glimpse of the standard of living city-dwellers, there are still some measures that can be taken to avoid such an extreme outcome. I believe, with certain governments’ actions, this situation will be improved.

Sample 2

It is not common for the development of any nation to result in cities benefiting and rural areas remaining in the same situation as before. Mostly, it is due to the advancement opportunities big metropolitan and cosmopolitan hubs encompass. However, this also results in villages and low population places remaining backwards in numerous things when compared to national and state capitals.

One of the major aspects that need to be understood is that the rise in the standard of living happens due to multiple factors. These can be socio-political as well as economic. When there is more influx of jobs, people rise above in their social status. Thus, those living in cities benefit but in villages they find themselves stuck with limited resources. When the country is developing any new technology, it is firstly introduced in cyber hubs. Moreover, the increase in wealth results in the widening of the economical social divide. This also results in more citizens migrating towards cities leaving their hometowns behind.

Such problems can be dealt with sensibly if the responsible authorities take charge and work towards the benefit of the people. Firstly, measures should be taken to conduct proper research to identify the root cause of this. Doing a thorough investigation will not only help in finding out what causes lie underneath but also  open the way for a starting point towards the solution. Secondly, an equal layout and method should be devised to ensure that new opportunities are presented in rural areas to raise their living standards. This can help in reducing the gap as well as equip the development of villages in the country.

In any democracy, everyone deserves the right experience quality of life through a rise in economic sustainability. While it is not easy to manage resources distribution but if executed properly then it can truly lead to the nation’s growth and advancement. Thus, to conclude this essay, even though rural fields lack multiple spaces of development, the answer to such problems lies in working together as a community to benefit every person through high living standards.

Sample 3

That an overwhelming majority of people advocate the surge in living standard in a country only seems to benefit urban area more than countryside is one the most utterly debated issues in modern society. The objective of this essay is to investigate the main problems caused by this phenomenon, and also recommend a variety of means to deal with the situation.

On the one hand, this issue can negatively influence the society in a number of ways. The first point to note is that individuals who live in rural areas tend to migrate huge cities for high living standards and high-quality facilities such as education and health service, which have several adverse effects on the environment. To be more specific, a vast majority of people are more likely to live in metropolises; therefore, the population rate soars in these cities, as a result of which traffic jam easily occurs in urban areas, which lead to air pollution. For instance, the traffic jam is observed in huge cities, owing to which it may increase the rate of air pollution. Furthermore, people who lived in remote areas may feel dissatisfied. To elaborate, city dwellers may have a plethora of facilities such as malls, shopping centres, albeit individuals who live in the countryside can hardly find to attend these kinds of places in urban areas.

Nevertheless, there are numerous viable solutions to address this issue. In order to overcome the problem of the gap between rural and urban area, certain measures should be taken by authorities. First and foremost, in today’s world, people attend to huge cities to obtain tertiary education and their well-beings, due to this reason that if governments ensure countryside inhabitants with universities and new hospitals, these persons hardly migrate to metropolises. Moreover, a great number of people are certain to live cities to find descent job, thus governments can increase job opportunities so as decline the rate of population in urban areas.

By way of conclusion, the traffic jam and overpopulation are the most visible problems; however, this tendency can be solved by opening new workplace and providing universities and hospitals. I recommend that authorities endeavor to increase people’s living standards.

In recent years, many cities have been developing than rural places and many nation only focus on urban area way of life than village repercussion, this trend brings more tackles among the city and village. In this essay discusses, what are the causes and how might be solved in this problems.

To begin with, imbalance of lifestyle between cities and rural places have more tackles. First, most village people migrate towards urban sides repercussion, this suituation can lead to over population in cities. Certainly this migrate creats more noise, air pollution to the urban location. Second, the countryside creates lack of workforce shortage this means most people moves towards better area than under developed location as a result, this can lead to engaging former ratio will be reduced. For example, according to the survey said that more than 70% of former has moved to urban location due to lack of fecilities in countryside. I think this situation will be changed.

Moreover, there are many remedies are available to reducde this terrible circumstance. Firstly, the ministry should provide all the amenities to the countryside such as better education, moderate hospital buildings, amusion park, and more job opportunity. Secondly, the cabinet should invest a huge amout of capital to village infrastructure improvements and they give subsidy to the former in order to they can continue to farm work. For instance, in India gives more subsidy to their agriculture worker in under developed places as a result, their farm labour can not give up to their desire empolyment. This kinds of sollution definitely will give more benefits.

To conclude, undoubtedly the ministry should focus equally both rural and metropolis region folks way of life. Ergo, over population might be reduced in metropolis region and the village folks can get more employment chances from these kinds of measures irrefutably. I believe that this kind of solution might be decreased the imbalance standard of living crises. I hope this possible solution is conducive for the next generation. Certainly the ministry, people both will together joint to diminish this problem.

Many countries have become more affluent in the past decade or two, although this has disproportionally tended to advantage cities, while leaving country areas deprived. This causes a number of issues, though some solutions might also be suggested.

There a number of difficulties caused by differences in prosperity levels in a country. A rush to urban areas is one of these, exacerbating difficulties in rural areas while putting pressure on cities’ infrastructure. Valuable regional industries and agriculture may be left to wither and unemployment in cities may grow, possibly corresponding with greater crime levels. The development of a two-speed economy may also increase feelings of resentment, envy and social division. This is particularly so in the country, where unemployment may additionally lead to depression and substance abuse.

These problems can be mitigated through government-led action. Regional development schemes can encourage businesses to invest in rural areas and improve infrastructure in these places. Education is one particular area where a difference can be made. Mandated minimum wages can also reduce the attractions of high city salaries, since the same basic pay will be available nationwide. Finally, the tourism potential of country areas can be exploited more fully by using suitable publicity campaigns, bringing income to depressed regions.

In conclusion, the unfortunate disparities between rural poverty and metropolitan affluence result in a number of problems. Nevertheless, these can be addressed through a series of measures. Hopefully these can bring about greater equality for people living in different areas of the same country.

8) Today, the life expectancy of people is much higher than before. Some people think that older people should continue to be involved in workforce. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, everyone wants their life is much easier than before. Some people believe that elderly people should continue to be involved in the workforce. I partially agree with this statement and I will explain my views in the upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, there are many reasons of older people should continue to be involved in the workforce. The first and the foremost is old people can do jobs because some elderly people like to do work in their free time. Moreover, older people plays an important role in jobs because they can judge the. Youngers knowledge and they face many challenges in their life. So, they have more experienced people as well as they take a right decision for any work because they observed more experience. Therefore, they do not make mistakes in taking a decision as compared to Youngers. For example, mostly business organized by oldish people such as MDH species business is composed by oldish person and this business is famous in whole world.

On the other hand, there are some demerits of older people involved in the workforce. The first and the foremost is oldish people take some rest in their home because mostly elderly people suffer from some health problems like stress, physical problems and many more. In additional to this, government allocates a pension system for oldish people. So, older people do not look for jobs they can easily stay in their homes and enjoy life with their families. But, some elderly people have responsibility of their families so in some situation oldies people can do jobs.

To conclude, jobs are important to everyone. Government should be encourage businesses to create a more jobs which is based on younger and elder people.

There is no denying the fact that the average person’s life is growing owing to the technology and copious people claim that old folks of the society should be involved in work owing to their numerous and vast experience. while critics argue that the youth should be promoted and utilized in work. In my, opinion, the latter proposition appears to be more rational. This essay will further elaborate on my views on the positive and negative impacts of the trends and thus will lead to a logical conclusion.

To begin with, the first statement undoubtedly old age persons are a valuable asset for a nation because they served their major parts of life for a particular profession, in addition, they have vast and robust experience honestly speaking they are master in numerous skills that make them take a role as a leader so many people think that they should continue their contribution for the nation to make it prestigious and successful country despite being growing old. to Illustrate, A recent survey indicates that Germany is a country where the majority of the population almost 70% is old and they are actively involved in various jobs and relished the life very positive manner.

Secondly, I firmly believe that the current era is for youth there is no denying the fact that the younger gene is more welcome not only by company but also by various countries because they are fresh flood they can be worked longer hours or in pressure, environment owing to their physical strength and stamina furthermore, they are highly skilled worker they have up-to-date information and various ways how to tackle situation and problems, therefore, the teens should be placed in the workforce and provide them with all opportunities that are not only advantageous for younger but also for the nation. A survey report on Asian countries indicates that Pakistan is one of the leading countries that have more than 70% of its population consisting of teens and they actively contribute to their community.

Finally, to sum up, according to the aforementioned arguments reach a conclusion that senior folks of the society are undoubtedly key-assets but should need to retire and be replaced by younger owing to their strength and a new range of skills.

9) In today’s world, private companies rather than government pay for and conduct most scientific research. Do you think the advantages outweigh disadvantages?

These days, private sectors tend to pay for and doing scientific research rather than public sectors. Although it is undeniable that it brings a number of advantages, I believe that it does more harm than good.

On the one hand, there will be a number of advantages if private companies investigate scientific research. It is clear that almost private enterprises can adapt to all necessary elements for researching. Because they are independent on finance, they can supply the state –of-the-art equipment for consulting.

On the other hand, I personally claim that the drawbacks outweigh the benefits when private sectors carry out scientific research. First of all, working for the government is the way to take the responsibility to society. Since all results are used for the public, scientific workers can contribute to developing their nation. For instance, when the country is facing with the epidemic, experimentation is needed before spreading widely. If researchers worked in public sectors, they would have a chance to devote to the community.

Secondly, there are a lot of opportunities for scientists in learning when they work as public workers. Because of being a member of governmental companies, civil researchers are able to travel or study in abroad. As a result, they have a lot of chances to meet, make friends with other researchers in the world. Thanks to that, they can acknowledge as much valuable experience.

In conclusion, even though there are great deals of great assets when private enterprises investigate scientific exploration, I think that the cons outweigh the pros

In this modern era, private companies instead of the government pay for and do most of the scientific research is a topic of public interest and concern. Although there are positive effects, drawbacks of this are obvious. However, in my opinion, the latter definitely carry more weight than the former.

On the one hand, there are several benefits to private companies paying for and conducting scientific research. Firstly, this action of private companies can help partly in the budget problem of the government. The government will no longer have to bear the economic burden of having to invest in research. They can use that money for emergencies or solving social problems such as poverty, climate change, health care. Secondly, when private companies carry out scientific research, researchers and scientists will be disbursed by these companies faster than the government from which the research will be carried out appear faster and more caring.

However, I would argue that these benefits are outweighed by the drawbacks. Firstly, most private companies when conducting scientific research will focus and care about the company’s profits. They may do illegal, immoral, unethical things like experimenting on animals such as rabbits, mice and this is inhumane. Since this is done by private companies and can be done in secret, it is difficult for the government to control or censor them all. In addition, poor-quality research products can also harm consumers. Secondly, in order to have high enough capital to pay for scientific research, most private companies must have foreign investments such as international cooperation. Therefore, these studies are hardly able to solve global problems and have no great effect.

In conclusion, it seems to me that the potential drawbacks of private companies instead of the government paying for and doing most of the scientific research are more significant than the possible benefits.

Essay 10

10) Some people say that if old people spend time and get along with others and exercise everyday they will become fit. However, nowadays old people are usually alone and do not talk to others which make them unhappy and unfit. What are the reasons for this? How can this be resolved?

It is scientifically believed that social life plays an important role in the overall health of an elderly community. A portion of the society believe that exercise and social life with other people will help elderly citizens to keep fit and active, but the reality is not as mentioned. In this essay, we will discuss the causes and solutions to the isolated and unhappy life of the older population.

To start with, elderly people are quite vulnerable to loneliness and social solitude. There are multiple reasons because of which older community isolate themselves. Primarily, getting weak and dependent, aged population think of themselves as unproductive and a burden on their loved ones. Furthermore, the death of a spouse would also have a deep impact as it might lead to depression. For example, according to research conducted by the UK, the majority of older public start living alone and cut off from their friends, neighbours and family. In short, retiring from work and suffering from disability and illness are other notable reasons that can lead to serious health degradation.

Leisure and recreational activities are essential for living an active lifestyle. Numerous studies conducted indicate that exercising can help prevent symptoms of depression and dullness. Socializing with their companions is also equally significant. For instance, an elder population can engage in activities such as group picnics, brain games, shopping and other leisure pursuits in order to preoccupy themselves. Family and friends can also help to reduce loneliness among the older community. For example, taking out time from one’s busy schedule for the senior citizens and making them feel special in some way or the other. Old age homes can also be qualitatively improved.

To conclude, there are several reasons for the loneliness and inactive lifestyle of elderly people like depression and decreased recognition. However, getting involved in local community activities

A school of thought insists that senior citizens become healthy by interacting with people and doing physical activities on regular basis; whereas,  grey-haired people mostly spend their time alone only these days, which makes them miserable and unhealthy. The feeling of burden on their family members and generation gap can be held accountable for the same. The reasons besides the measures of mitigating them are discussed ahead.

Most old-age denizens feel they are putting stress on their loved ones. Due to the hectic schedule of their children, they do not want to disturb them and put unnecessary stress on sharing their feelings. Consequently, they feel lonely, and eventually, it leads to depression and anxiety. Furthermore, there is a thought gap between them and their grandchildren. This is because they have lived with old traditions and rituals, whereas the offspring of their children living in modern society and adapting western culture. Due to this generation gap, there are usually conflicts regarding any aspect of the world and they feel hesitant to communicate with them.

However, the same can be tackled if old age persons can be motivated to join some recreational clubs, where they can interact with different kinds of peers and spend time by doing some leisure activities. To exemplify, incidents of depressions of senior citizens in Australia would not have been reduced, if they did not join the yoga club. In addition to this, not only parents should teach their children the values of local culture, which can motivate them to share thoughts with their grandparents but also grey-haired people need to modify their principles.

To recapitulate, this essay has covered two aspects: causes of the loneliness of the aged people, which include their feeling about the unnecessary burden on their children and differences in opinion; and its solutions, which consist of engaging aged denizens in time spare activities and by reducing the generation gap between younger ones and old ones.

Essay 11

11) Some education systems make students focus on certain subjects at the age of 15,

While others require students to study a wide range of subjects until they leave school.

What are the benefits of each system? Which is better?

Educational systems vary significantly across the world, forcing some students to specialize when they reach 15, whereas others encourage a wider range of learning. While both systems had the same unique advantages, I would argue that school students should acquire a broad education

On the one hand, there are two main reasons why in some educational systems in many countries around the globe, students tend to be trained in their specialized courses/subjects. One reason is that if students concentrate on some particular subjects at the age of 15, then they will be able to cover a lot of ground. For instance, if students at this age study math and science only, they will be able to adopt some theories of the mathematical and scientific lessons to practical applications and they will not have the distractions of studying arts or languages. Another reason is that they will have a good grasp of their chosen areas of study. As nowadays, the job market is increasingly becoming more and more intensive competitive, therefore, applicants who are well-equipped with their endless knowledge and infinite understanding in a certain key fields often chase for top jobs, enabling them to progress rapidly in their chosen professions. In addition, this system will improve their job prospects when they leave school and they will be able to live independently on their own income

On the other hand, I favour a system in which pupils study a wide range of subjects throughout their years at school. I would argue that this system is better for two important reasons. Firstly, a broad education is a preparation for life. Schools must encourage youngsters beyond the age of 15 to be interested in all aspects of life, by exposing them to subjects such as history or philosophy, and also the onus is on schools to incorporate relevant subjects into the curriculum so that it can boost the Young’s creativity and their cognitive development. Furthermore, studying a number of subjects until they leave school, then pupils will have the chance to broaden their horizons and to make the most of their critical thinking and imagination. They may start to learn how to express themselves through some alternative outlet such as painting or writing, taking up a musical instrument or singing in a choir at school

In conclusion, although concentrating on distinctive subjects is the fundamental principle of teaching in some educational system all over the world and it is beneficial in some ways, I believe that studying a wide range of subjects prepares young people countless opportunity to develop in their lives.

Many students are made to attend certain classes when they are 15 years of age, while others are required to learn various subjects before leaving school. Although an education system with a broad range of subjects can provide diverse knowledge, that with a narrower range is better as learners have more time for other activities desired.

Those supporting the former education system may claim that students can access a wider range of knowledge that they may need in their later life. Having a chance to attend many classes, students are taught numerous lessons related to various fields, many of which can be of great help when they grow up. For instance, in Vietnam, students aiming at engineering courses in university are only required to have good grades in Maths and Physics. However, the knowledge they have acquired in non-major classes like English or Computer Science can offer them a competitive edge when they apply for a job in a multinational company, compared to those who are not familiar with foreign languages or computers.

On the other hand, students who study only a few subjects have more time for other purposes than those studying so many. With fewer subjects to learn, they have extra time either for stress relievers such as playing some sport or taking a rest or for further research related to their chosen subjects. The former activity helps students relieve pressure at school and recharge their energy, whereas the latter is a good way of reviewing the lesson taught in class. Scientifically, these activities increase their study efficiency and academic performance, so such an education system is much better than that forcing students to learn various subjects.

In conclusion, although the knowledge learnt in various classes is potentially helpful, I believe that a study program with not so many classes is more beneficial to students who can have more time for deeper study or relaxation.

In today’s world, school attendance has played a vital role in children’s later success. In order to become the elite, more students have embarked on learning a wide variety of subjects instead of spending more time on other activities. While both ways have their own merits, I believe that concentrating only on core subjects have a better influence on the young generation.

On the one hand, it is no exaggeration to say that pursuing traditional education enables the attendees to access a wide range of knowledge needed in their careers.  Having attended more classes, learners will develop more ideas in various fields, which is conducive to achieve their ultimate goals. For example, Vietnamese pupils with good educational background are able to be entitled to tertiary education with their favorite majors. Therefore, they will undoubtedly be more competitive to seek their first ideal jobs.

On the other hand, paying less time at school could also bring several beneficial consequences to them. Instead of contemplating intense study schedules, teenagers have more times to enrich their life experiences. This means that affordability, creativity, collaborative skills are likely to be derived from social activity. Furthermore, youngsters ought to use their times to relieve pressure and recharge energies for better performances. For instance, American professors have indicated that balancing life would boost the working process, which is relevant to young learners.

In conclusion, I completely subscribe to the idea that engaging majorly in core subjects should be fostered in order to achieve human’s full potentials

Essay 12

12) Some experts say for road safety cyclists should pass a test before being allowed on public roads. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

There have been recent calls for mandatory tests for cyclists before they are permitted on public motorways. In my opinion, though this proposal must be managed properly it is advisable.

Detractors argue this reform is essentially a complex method of fixing a problem that does not exist. Riding a bike is a fairly simple skill that most people learn as children. It is unclear at what age such a test and license should be logistically required. The extra paperwork and bureaucracy would make it a negative for both cyclists and those charged with enforcing this law. If passed, there is also the strong likelihood that it would be tokenistic. Cyclists might be able to pass a basic written test and demonstrate the ability to ride a bike but that would not ensure they will actually be safe riders.

However, in my opinion, there exists a need since most cyclists are not particularly cognizant of the hierarchy of vehicles. In most cities, cyclists are considered a menace or an annoyance and increase the odds of accidents. Many cyclists feel they are essentially the same as cars and weave into traffic where cars and motorbikes travelling at faster speeds rightly belong. If there was better education and a law that required cyclists to learn unwritten rules of etiquette, this would greatly enhance road conditions for motorists and pedestrians. For instance, in certain European nations, cyclists must apply for licenses and this has created a culture where bicycles fit into the flow of traffic more seamlessly.

In conclusion, although there are significant practical hurdles, I believe requiring cyclists to apply for licenses addresses a key public road issue. Governments should therefore enact this or similar regulation.

Essay 13

13) Some people think that the best way to improve road safety is to make vehicle drivers to take a test every year. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In the salad days of the millennium, the society is divided into two groups, almost equally regarding the notion that whether a driving test should be taken every year to enhance the safety on road or not. Different people have distinct mindsets. In the following paragraphs, I would shed light on both of these opinions before making a final conclusion.

To begin with, there are numerous downsides to this. Firstly, it will have a negative impact on the financial stability of many households as there are some expenses related to giving a test. Secondly, it would be a kind of harassment of people because they had already passed the test once and they need to waste their precious time while giving the test again of a skill they already possess and are certified of. Moreover, it would also put an extra burden on the transportation department which could be used to address the more common causes of road accidents.

On the flip side of the coin, there are some advantages to this as well. First of all, the government will get to know about the people who are not able or eligible to drive anymore and consequently will take the actions against them which could help in reducing the road accidents. For example, it is observed in many parts of the world, that senior citizens are still driving their vehicles even after a certain age when they are not allowed to. In addition, it would make the transport department more robust and provide high employment opportunities as the workload increase.

In conclusion, I personally feel, due to the aforementioned facts, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Some other measures should be taken to enhance the safety on road such as increasing the minimum legal age to drive motor vehicles.

(BAND-7.5)

(SAMPLE-2)

Some people argue that the best approach to increase road safety is for vehicle drivers to take an annual test. I completely disagree with this point of view because many traffic incidents are a result of bad weather and some companies’ promises of speedy delivery.

Frequently, bad weather is the main cause of car accidents. When it is raining or snowing, visibility becomes low and roads become slippery, which often leads to car crashes. So, instead of enforcing an annual testing program, regulators would do better to discourage car use in such weather conditions and encourage the use of transportation like subways and trams instead.

In addition, many driving incidents are caused by the speedy shipping that some companies promote. Take Amazon Flex, for example. In order to fulfill same-day delivery, the platform has imposed very tight deadlines on its drivers. When falling behind schedule, these drivers tend to get stressed and drive recklessly. It was reported that since June 2015, there have been more than 60 crashes involving Amazon delivery drivers which have resulted in injuries or death. In this case, taking a driving test every year will not be very useful because even though the test can remind delivery drivers of the rules they should follow, they would still violate them to meet deadlines. A more effective method is to hold companies like Amazon Flex and Uber Eat responsible for the tragedies they cause. Hopefully, they can extend the tight deadlines they set.

In conclusion, I do not think implementing a yearly driving test is the best approach to improve road safety since poor weather conditions and delivery companies also play a major part in many traffic accidents.

In current scenario every human has run the rat race for fulfilling their rudimentary needs. Everyone wants to balance their professional and relational soul in better ways; however, some get success to manage it but some not. The primary cause of its cuts, threats, competition and the possible solution is that dividing responsibility with each other’s.

To embark with, there are some possible reasons which create a problem to assemble the personal and business growth. The cut threats, competition are the biggest problem in modern society because everyone wants to earn more capital in little time. Owing to these factor parents hinges on money rather than caring the family members.  For example, an accountant is that kind of job in which people spent more time outside than at home. Moreover, in present era maximum people love to live in nuclear family, in which parents want two bread winner for better future of own their kids, but in this situation they forgetful about their child’s care. Due to this factor misunderstanding has become in personal growth.

Nevertheless, there is some possible solution if parents are following these steps than they can easily manage office work and family responsibilities.  Initially, everyone should have to plan and do things in advance.  Employee as an example, he has to do 35 hours work in a week and making some schedule to go outside with family members on weekends.  Furthermore, every human should have to divide role and responsibility because in modern days bot parents are working.  In this way a father should take some household work with mother to balance the activity style. First and foremost, people often cannot find a solution to the puzzle just because they do not have enough information about it. What I meant to say is, that make a research about how to manage your time and how to plan your daily routine, so that you won’t get burnt out or maybe confused. There are a number of courses and video lessons to help to build a balanced routine and work cooperatively as a husband and wife,  among the internet. When you gain some more knowledge about your problem you kind of take a breath of fresh air, which will help you to move on, in this, case we will start feeling your time. For example, I figured out for myself that I manage to do more things if I get up around 7 a.m. To sum up, parents should learn to deal with their daily routine and work as a team.

Secondly, now modern society provides a remarkable opportunity to trial at home, which gives the chance to adjust your curriculum as you want. But, unfortunately this is not available for all professions. However, some parents can do their job tasks on their laptop or computer, which not only saves the time but also brings the family together. For instance, my dad since the quarantine moment works at home and, moreover my father and brother have become good friends. In terms of office, workers they possibly could spend evenings purely with their children, that would fulfil the other parts of the day when they’re separate.

To conclude, firstly make a research about the time management, second thing try to change your job format or perform at least one part of the day to your family and kids.

One of the most conspicuous trend in the 21st century is the difficulty of keeping a life’s work. It is undoubtedly the case that who to balance their family, which is also affecting the society adversely. In this essay, I am going to examine the possible reasons for this trend and suggest some of the proactive measures that parents could implement to reduce this problem.

The first step is to understand why this happening broadly, speaking there are two main reasons for this. The first and foremost is to cut throat competitive environment due to this cause it is difficult to survive in the surrounding. Parents want to get succeed in their life and they want to earn more, and fulfil the needs and deed of their children. Parents are doing a part time jobs which create a workload. A good example is that a person who is doctor or accountant have no time to spend with their family and the bonds between the family member are breaking down. Apart from that one of the causes be multitasking. Parents are trying to do their work fast which creates many problems for them. They make promises with their family member, but parents unable to complete it. Which cause the harm for the trust of others towards themselves, For example, In France had 35 working hours per week.

There is almost certainly no one solution to this problem given the complexity of its causes .However, one option has to be make general public aware of time management. Parents should create the boundaries between work and the family. Parents should manage the procreating and learn to say no to others. A good example is that at the weekend the parents move outside with their current and spent more time with them and enjoy the moments.

In conclusion, there are a variety of different factors that have led to make this problem Worse. While it may not be possible to find a complete solution of this. This could probably solve by parents. They should create a schedule of their work and take a proper time with their family and enjoy with them.

Essay 15

15) Many people say that globalisation and the growing number of multinational companies have a negative effect on the environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree?  Use specific reasons and examples to support your position.

Developments of the countries depend upon some of the fields which include promoting to invest large companies in their countries. This motivates companies to open their branches all over the globe. Everything has its own pros and cons. The advent of this is to get many employment opportunities, but as per my point of view, at a cost of environmental issues. This essay will advocate how multinational companies are causing adverse effects on the environment and give suggestions and examples to support my view.

To begin with, modern life requirement leads to discover new products and the brands frequently. Though Science, research and development made it easy, large manpower is required to handle it. To save taxes and other charges, the commercial businesses open their branches in other countries; moreover it helped to achieve the big market all over the world. Thus, for the growth of the company open the market for skilled workers and more employment opportunities not only risen in the scientific fields but also in other fields like commerce, finance.

On the flip side, a wide range of production results in producing more garbage and no prominent system is designed to dispose of the waste. For example, product packaging contains plastic material which is relatively low cost, but it cannot be destroyed after the use. Consequently, different kinds of pollution like air, water, noise and light pollution are excessively increased. Nowadays this becomes a global issue and affecting human beings and animals as well.

To conclude, though globalisation and a growing number of multinational companies created enormous changes in everyone’s life, they are also responsible for the negative effect on the environment. Environmental protection undoubtedly should become  common practices in the countries and they should have strict rules and regulation which needs to be adhered by multinational companies.

(Band-8)

(SAMPLE-2)

In these present days, globalization has encouraged the development of multinational companies. It has been argued that this trend brings some drawbacks to the environments. It is agreed that international companies have brought many disadvantages to natural environments.

One main reason that the growing numbers of international companies cause negative effects is that their methods related to waste disposal, in particularly the ending of their waste disposals. In this case, they are often found in the nearby river, which means that many harmful chemicals can pollute the underwater lives. In the long-term periods, it may lead to the death of some creatures or, the worst problem is mutations. For instance, the common problems from the industries are the emergence of green algae on the river. Afterwards, it will generate the overpopulation of green algae that may cover the river’s surface. As a result, much-living fish, especially who live in shallow water, can not get enough oxygen that they need to live, which leads to the mass death of some species.

Another problem is the compensations that they give regarding the damages. Based on my knowledge, many managers from those big companies only give 5% of the total cost to overcome this problem to the governments, and 95% are beared by our officials. If you think critically, the money that is used to solve this issue is public money, which must be used to improve our infrastructures instead of fixing irresponsible parties’ problems. It means that we are being exploited, and on the other side, the company officials totally enjoy their profit by leaving out their responsibility. Thus, we can say that they do not care about the damage they made, which is obviously egoistic.

In a nutshell, I would like to say that the increasing numbers of multinational companies have many disadvantages that are inevitable and very harmful. Therefore, the authority must establish a clear policy regarding their work-flow to minimize the side-effects they cause to the environments.

(BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-3)

Global warming is the most concerned topic in the current modernized world. The majority of the people think that multinational organisations and globalization are the absolute reasons for this greater negative impact on nature. While I completely agree with this reason, I will provide reasons and supporting examples to back it up.

To start with, multinational companies establishment needs a proper resource-centric location. Tier 1 and 2 cities are the most preferred places for path breaking achievements. Consequently, people from rural places are migrating to these cities for a life settlement. As a result of this, the population across the major towns and cities are drastically increasing since the recent past years, subsequently, causing the increase in pollution and toxic gases resulting in damage of the ozone layer. For instance, metropolitan cities in India like Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai has recorded an increase of 17% pollution index for the last 2 years. In short, the growing number of multinational companies are detrimental to the environment.

Secondly, the culture of migration of the people and companies across the globe is another reason for environmental impacts. To be more precise, the mutual understanding between the nations has dramatically enhanced to exchange the cultures and boost their economies. In addition, countries are easing their visa processes to invite not only the people to increase their tax contributions but also the companies for foreign direct investments. For example, Canada has increased its annual cap of migration invitations to individuals across the globe to set up companies and provide jobs. Inconclusive, increased travel due to migrations is an important cause of environmental degradation.

To summarize, I completely agree with the environmental degradation impacts are due to globalization and the increased multinational company’s setup.

(BAND-8)

(SAMPLE-4)

It is believed that urbanization or the expansion of international organizations is one of the prime factors that influence the ecosystem. In my perspective, I tend to agree with this statement as these multinational firms should be responsible for worsening the environment. However, there are also others elements that contribute to this problem. In this essay, I shall put forth some ideas with lucid examples to demonstrate my point.

At first, it is evident that more and more renowned brands establish their main factories in many developing countries such as China, Vietnam and Indonesia so that they can reduce labour costs and experience low taxes from these countries. Indeed, it is estimated that an enormous amount of chemical waste and gas is discharged into the atmosphere and rivers in these countries annually, which pollutes the vegetation and ecosystem seriously. Moreover, a gigantic level of tropical forest and farming land have been erased permanently to give room for ample factories, road infrastructures and residential areas. Hence, the number of trees and other natural plants have declined sharply, which endangers the natural environment and air quality in these areas. For example, the air quality in China has descended rapidly in recent years due to a large amount of waste from factories in this country.

On the other hand, there are also other reasons that affect austerely our environment. At first, low awareness of individuals or organizations regarding natural preservation also contributes to this issue. The increase in plastic use or in disposable materials has resulted in the growth of plastic waste in the environment. Nevertheless, more citizens prefer to purchase their own cars instead of using public transport, which increases traffic congestion and exhausts more gas into the atmosphere. Last but not least, littering is another issue that needs to be addressed. When travel has become more ubiquitous and affordable, people can travel to many stunning locations and a gigantic amount of trash from these hordes of tourists has become a major challenge for the local authorities.

To sum up, while I believe that governments need to take decent measures to control and limit the expansion of global companies and urge them to comply with environmental laws. Individuals need to be more aware of environmental issues as it is not only the accountability of administrations.

Essay 16

16) Some people think that men are naturally more competitive than women. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

There is a controversial perspective heating a debate over the natural character of males and females. While some people claim that men are more aggressive than women to some extent, I personally consider myself an opponent to this notion. This essay is devoted to analyzing the underlying roots of this perception, followed by some reasonable ideas.

It is understandable to note that males are likely more competitive than women. Obviously, they were born with muscle, and their physical, as well as their mental health, is always strong. That is the reason why an overwhelming majority of men are constituted for jobs that require intensive strength such as leadership. Throughout world history, it is irrefutable that most rulers and top management positions bias men. Donald Trump, who was a former prime minister in the US, has successfully defeated his rival, Hilary Clinton in the conquest of the US president’s seat since the dwellers believed that only male rulers can control a whole system of one nation. For those reasons, it is comprehensible if men are more preferred in many fields than females.

While the redeeming features of men are widely acknowledged, it is unfair if those of women are being overlooked. Despite the fact that women are considered to be naturally soft in every aspect, that thinking is now obsolete in modern society. Since we are living in a gender equality civilization, many women have participated themselves in competitions that involve the power of mentality and physicality, and successfully prove that women are not less competitive than their counterparts. Angela Merkel can be cited as a viable instance since she has ruled Germany for many years as a president, based on her straightforward personality and her professionalism.

In conclusion, I am well convinced that though males are physically fit rather than women, it is essential to eliminate gender-based discrimination since both of them deserve recognition.    (BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-2)

Discussions about the capabilities and strengths between opposite genders are always debatable. While the perception of many people in this contemporary world is set to believe that the male gender is stronger and competitive than the female, others disagree with this opinion. I firmly agree with the former opinion and provide necessary examples to back up my view in the forthcoming paragraphs.

The very strong and proven reason for people, including me, to believe that men are stronger is their genetically adapted physical and mental strengths. To be more precise, if we closely observe physiological and psychological stamina are the utmost important traits for an individual to work for longer durations in pressurized situations. The majority of the top management positions across the enterprise organisations are occupied by them, for instance, Satya Nadella, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk to name a few. It needs a great amount of energy and time allocation to achieve success, which is basically lacking in women.

On the other hand, the secondary reason to strengthen my opinion is their soft nature, and I believe that women are family-oriented and stronger in the upbringing of children to produce more productive and creative youth for future generations. While I agree that women should equally participate in all activities, I personally feel that both genders have to take different responsibilities of a family to bring a balance in society. It is a proven fact as per the statistics of the world, for example, 78% of the top positions across industries and sports verticals are male-dominated, which indirectly resembles the competitive nature of gentlemen over ladies.

In conclusion, the majority of society believes that men are stronger than women by birth, while the other part of the community differs from this view. I strongly agree with the former notion, as it is genetically proven and agreed by the world because the physical and mental fitness of the male gender is stronger than the feminine gender.

(BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-3)

Men and women are different in many factors psychologically and physiologically and in my opinion, the sense of competition is no exception. In other words, although men are more competitive in some aspects of life such as career and wealth, they are less competitive in others including beauty and drama.

On the one hand, since our ancestors in the evolution process were hunters, males usually had the role of a breadwinner in the family, while females were caretakers for the children. In this sense, men inherited the sense of being stronger and richer and being competitive about it from their ancestors. This will satisfy their need to take care of their family and overcome their rivals, especially when resources are rare. For instance, men are usually jealous of the other men who are richer than them, rather than the ones who are more handsome.

On the contrary, because the females had the role of being mothers, they needed to attract men to make sure of continuing the generation. In the same way as men, this characteristic has been handed down to new generations and that is why most women tend to be more pretty and in shape than others. That is why historically women use cosmetics and beauty operations to make themselves more attractive and as a result, the cosmetics and make-up industry has become one of the biggest industries nowadays which mainly serves females.

All in all, although men are competitive in earning money and becoming financially stronger, they are not so when it comes to subjects like beauty and health.

(BAND-6.5)

(SAMPLE-4)

The human race has been created in such a way where men feel more competitive than the women.  This is a well-known fact, since the start of the world. I tend more towards the side where the women definitely make more effort to compete. I would agree slightly with the above topic. However, In this essay we shall discuss why a few people would beg to differ and some may agree with the statement.

Even now humans are of the opinion that the men are naturally more eager to win in any given scenario. Most of the freedom fighters have always been men, whether the Hitler or Mahatma Gandhi. They had the urge to win over the intruders and became victorious. In the field of corporate, as we move up the ladder 90 percent of the top management is the self-proclaimed stronger sex.  They have a greater amount of ego.  In a game of a mere chess, he would hate losing to the woman. This is how a man has been brought up in this world that you are superior to the opposite sex and you cannot lose. For example, the kind of domestic violence that happens in the country is only because he cannot see his lady does better than him in any way.  He tries to control her. Finally, this has been the plight in many countries and looks like now things are changing for the better where even woman are coming up as a natural competitor.

On the other hand, she need not be naturally ferocious. As they are inherently built so strong by the creator. They are coming up in all the fields, whether in the field of sports or even establishing businesses. They are everywhere from acting to directing to going to space to leading the country. Furthermore, they led by example and are emotionally more stable. Being recognized on par with a man has been the biggest accomplishment for the opposite sex.

To conclude, we are in the world of equals. In context to the question, I would agree by saying it comes very easy for a man to be competitive as it’s in their genes. I would also say that yes, we woman are not far behind and are in fact are more superior human beings.

Essay 17

17) Some traditions and customs must be stopped or given up. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

No doubt, the world is changing at a rapid pace, and it is often witnessed that many traditional values and customs have no practicability in the present time; hence, there is no need to continue such practices. I completely withstand this viewpoint. This essay shall delve into details and present my opinion.

To begin, it is reasonable to expect people to discontinue practicing old traditions as it is nothing more than a waste of energy and time. The fact is that, with the advent of technology, the use of machines has grown exponentially. Many jobs that used to be done manually in earlier times are being done with machines. For instance, it was a common tradition in my country for girls to learn the skill of stitching and knitting to be able to stitch traditional clothes for family members. However, today, the majority prefer wearing ready-to-wear and fashionable western clothes than the conventional attires due to globalization. Understandably, there is nothing wrong in discontinuing this old tradition.

In addition, with time, the role of genders and family members has changed. Earlier, women were supposed to do domestic chores and were not given the opportunity to attain education. However, today, it is a daunting task to manage family expenses with one income; therefore, the woman has to go out for work, and in turn, the man has to assist her in managing the household. Admittedly, the old customs do not hold ground anymore.

To conclude, I would like to restate that every tradition has it own value, but, it fades with time and often become obsolete with time. Thereby, there is nothing wrong in discontinuing the ones that do not withstand the changing time.

Essay 18

18) Some people think the money spent on developing technology for space exploration is not justified. They are more beneficial ways to spend this money. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Research and development is the main focus of scientists throughout the world. Owing to this huge amount of money has been spent on space exploration, but some people believe that this money should be spent more wisely for the benefit of mankind. However, in my opinion, space research is crucial and there is a need to define a  limit for this because there are some more concerning issues which need immediate attention. Hence, I partially agree with this view.

Space exploration is significant for the development of every nation because it has provided ways to resolve many critical issues. To illustrate it further with an example, if we consider the weather forecast technology, which is possible due to satellites in space has proved a boon for people mainly living near coastal areas. With the help of this technology, warnings are given to people living near oceans and fishermen to not to enter the sea due to the prediction of heavy tides or rainfall.

On the other hand, there are some problems such as global hunger, unemployment, crime and medical facilities which also require immediate aid. Many people are living below the poverty line and it is hard for them to earn two times of the meal. Moreover, a large number of people are losing life due to unavailability of advanced medical facilities. In addition, there are many children who cannot afford even elementary education. So all these concerns are more crucial and there is a strong need to address such issues with prompt action.

To conclude, I believe that space exploration is essential, but there should be a limit on the money spent on these research works and there are some problems which need to be addressed with quick resolutions for the betterment of whole mankind.

BAND (7.5)

(SAMPLE-2)

There are some controversial ideas heating a debate over the fact that some people claim the state’s coffers should be invested in different fields which have more advantages for society rather than being allocated on space exploration. While this thinking is valid to some extent, I would contend that astronomy is instrumental for society in this day of age.

Without a shadow of a doubt, space traveling plays a paramount significant role in addressing the earth crisis. With the explosion of population and an ever-increasing demand for a place to live, humans exacerbate environmental degradation by chopping down the forest for new buildings. Hence, imbalanced diversity, floods, earthquakes occur everywhere and are becoming more severe. By exploring space, people can have a firm grasp of university and other constellations which can allow people to settle in to tackle this alarming problem. Mar and moon exploration can be cited as a convincing and underlying example. Although those may not gain any fruitful achievements, they open humans to a new world where a new earth is a potential scenario.

While the redeeming feature of space exploration is widely acknowledged, it is unfair if that of public services such as medical care is ignored. Evidently, the government’s investment in healthcare systems is of essence. In fact, a large number of people currently suffer from serious diseases due to criminally expensive prices of medical systems, thus, they may well be a burden to the community. Therefore, by cashing on the healthcare system to make it more affordable, people can enhance their health and be able to participate in the labour market, directly contributing to national prosperity.

To sum up, it is indisputable that space trails might positively impact on solving the environmental deterioration in quality. Nevertheless, it would be unreasonable to invest all money in space travelling and neglect other fields like healthcare systems

BAND(6.5)

The technology from the very beginning has two aspects, if it is used in the right way it is beneficial for survival, but if it is utilized in the wrong way it may be worse for the whole mankind. A  popular stratum of society believes that spending wealth in the development of space exploration is necessary. However, in its sharp contrast, others opine that it is the sheer wastage of money which could rather be used to eradicate other issues of the community. I would like to delve into both the arguments before making an opinion.

The first school of thought claims that evolution of space technology has brought humans the possibilities of life in outer space, which is a huge achievement. According to some researchers, the end of the earth can be expected as a consequence of factors like pollution, global warming, etc. So, the space scientists are working on projects to produce habitat on other planets. They believe that without exploring the space or other planet physically we cannot have any idea about it. Moreover, without having prior knowledge of other spheres we cannot live there. In addition to this, developing space technology is compulsory.

However, another group of person opines that spending wealth on space technology is surely a wastage of it. Every year a huge amount of money is spent on this by different countries to just prove their strength. They believe that as we live on earth humans should not face problems in their daily life to run their lives smoothly. Instead of spending too much money on space exploration program e governments should spend on social issues. For example, governments should provide jobs for their pupil, they should construct better infrastructure  for better development, they should provide better medical facilities and much more.

In the conclusion, I would conclude that developing automation for space exploration is good for mankind, but this fact cannot be denied that it requires a huge amount of fund. The governmental bodies should also keep a regular check on social issues to bring happiness into people’s lives and on planet earth.

Millions of dollars are spent for space research, technology and trainings, to discover the outer space and its hidden secrets. Some people think that the money is using for development is a good step, but for others is huge and not acceptable, they can benefit from it in other ways that help people.

We are living in this space, in one its planet “Earth”; spending money for some scientist and researchers is a good stop for our future. First, spending money on developed equipment’s that aid to pass difficulties in danger places in space and help to discover if there is life and other creatures. Second, money should be spent to determine if there is any other planet like Earth, have living resources such as, water, oxygen or oil. Moreover, many planets aren’t realized yet and can cause threat to Earth, due to meteorites that are spread in the space and many falls on and cause damages to Earth. For example, the Russian Aerospace are working on developing their sector, since they’ve found millions of meteors are swimming in the space and danger on us. In my opinion I disagree, since God who created this world can control everything.

On the other hand, money can be used in many ways to help nations, rather than spending them on developing space technology. Millions of dollars can save millions of lives, it can stop poverty and starvation in many continents like Africa, Asia and South America and help these people to survive and develop their country. Second, this money can be used to discover treatments for chronic diseases to end it and give life to young or old individuals. However, money can be delivered for other technology, to solve the pollution issue and find a final solution for this threat, that affecting on global warming and leading to increase in the temperature of Earth and melting the North Pole. For example, NASA spend a lot of money each year on developing their sector, but until today they didn’t discover the next part of the moon. From my side I agree, that this money can help many people to stay alive.

In conclusion, many people prefer to stop spending money on space technology, where they can benefit from it for better things and develop their countries. In my opinion, I think that this money will assist many people to stay alive and have a healthy life.

19) The best way to teach children to cooperate is through team sports at school. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Essay 19

In modern age, cooperation has become more essential. Some parents believe that their kids should join more team sports in school since it is the most effective way to train the students to cooperate with others well. I agree with this opinion to some extent.

Attending team sports at school has a crucial effect for educating the students about team work skill. First of all, it’s true that school is the place that kids spend almost of his time. Specifically, the average time for children to stay at school is about 8 hours. Thus, school is the best place for children to learn knowledge and make progresses. Secondly, , it is always required that students should complete the homework independently that they rarely need to cooperate with classmates. If the duties for kids are listen teachers’ presentations and do the homework, they don’t have the opportunity to practise their cooperation. On the contrary, team sports are useful to educate the students how to deal with teammates. For example, if the players want to win, how could they don’t in the basketball games?

However, as far as I believe, playing sports is not best and there are several better ways to improve the cooperation for children. On the one hand, there are a few drawbacks in playing sports at school. Team sports are not suitable for every student. For instance, the thinner kids usually is not addict to score compared with the stronger ones. On another hand, carrying out several projects by a group of students is better to learn how to cooperate. Firstly, the situation in this case is more likely the situation in the work. It can help students know better what they should do in their future work. Secondly, in the research students can get more academic information.

To sum up, in order to get the progress related to cooperation, students not only should attend the sports at school, but also need

(BAND-6)

(SAMPLE-2)

People have different views about the best way to cultivate children’s collaborative spirit. Although doing team sports is one of the efficient ways to achieve that, I believe teachers can find better solutions than this method.

On the one hand, team sports demand students to work closely and communicate frequently, which will improve children’s cooperative skills. During this process, they will realize that everyone is born with strengths and shortcomings and only by working together can they have a competitive edge in the future. Also, doing team sports brings students more happiness than individual sports and help them to make new friends, which may motivate them to cooperate with others in the future.

On the other hand, other methods, such as working in groups to solve a practical problem, are also efficient to boost students’ collaborative spirit. For example, there are a wide variety of interdisciplinary programs in many schools, which need the contribution of team members that are good at different subjects. Without joint effort, children will never be able to come to a satisfying solution. As a result, they will realize how important it is to cooperate with and learn from each other. Meanwhile, students working in these joint projects will also find it helpful to work together because it can enhance their problem-solving skills and boost their knowledge in all the subjects that are used.

In conclusion, although taking team sports works well in teaching children the importance of cooperation, I think there are better ways that teachers can come up with to encourage their students to work with joint force.

(BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-3)

Teamwork has become a valuable virtue in many countries to the point that they try to bring up children with this skill. There is an argument that doing sports in a team is the best way for children to acquire that at school and I mostly agree with this idea.

On the one hand, it seems to me that there are also other ways for children to learn teamwork other than team sports. They can get tasks such as cleaning their class as a team or playing some games. For example, grouping students by their teacher and playing pantomime is a way to learn that thinking together is more beneficial. Another way is taking a group examination. In this way, each student should answer just one question but everyone will get the same score. Therefore, all of them will be panelized if even one pupil cannot answer correctly. Consequently, they will all study together for the next exam.

On the other hand, I almost agree that learning cooperation through team sports may be the best way for children. They will find out that the smallest disharmony would result in losing the game. For instance, if a defender passes the ball to a player from the other team, they may receive an irrecoverable goal and lose the game. Therefore, the importance of teamwork and harmony will be revealed to them. Cooperation in a team sport also simulates a workplace atmosphere for them when they should work with their colleagues to achieve their goals.

In conclusion, although there are many ways to teach children to cooperate, I approximately agree that participating in team sports at school is the best way not only for their childhood but also for their adult life.

(BAND-8)

(SAMPLE-4)

Sports are considered to be one of the most effective activities in children’s lifestyle as they offer immense benefits to their health and also help in overall personality development. However, it is often discussed if sports are the best technique to introduce a child to a world where being cooperative is an essential part of regular survival in this competitive world. In my opinion, I fully agree that a school can be the best institution where children can be taught collaboration and teamwork by playing sports activities.

Childhood is the most appropriate time when an individual learns life lessons. So, any skill learnt at the school level prepares a student to perform well in real-life situations in future. Talking about a sport like a football, it requires team efforts in order to goal of the counter-party due to which the whole team wins the game at the end. Also, the winning team is given a big trophy and some cash prize. This kind of game makes a child build team spirit as they all work towards the same goal and at the winning stage, they share the prizes between themselves. Such situations make a child more empathetic towards others and develop him to fight big challenges of life with good confidence.

Another reason why playing sports in school is the best platform for young children to learn collaborative skills is that they often do not encounter situations at their house. Therefore, schools provide a space where kids meet multiple other children with different personalities and end up being friends as they exchange their thoughts and learn about each other’s interests. This helps them to grow as a person. On the other hand, when these children compete with each other in the game, they show a team spirit yet play mutually and support one another which make them realise how combined efforts in any situation can be beneficial.

In conclusion, it can be said that school sports play an important role in moulding child’s nature and teach them critical skills which cannot be taught apart from them. A child learns the value of combined efforts and develops their sharing mindset which is quite less possible to be taught in the home-place other than in schools. Therefore, sports activities offered at educational places must be encouraged by the parents and school staff itself, considering the positive impact it does on the children.

Essay 20

20) Housing shortage in big cities can cause severe social consequences. Some people think only government action can solve this problem. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It cannot be denied that, in the contemporary days problem of housing scarcity is extremely high. It is responsible for many serious outcomes in the community. A single way to tackle out conquering issue is government efforts, is believed by a group of individuals. I agree to the given statement to a large extent and my inclination is explained in the following paragraph.

Discussing about steps should be taken by the centre to eradicate the housing deficit. The most anticipated one is they should encourage citizens to live in the countryside. They should run a campaign on social media and various area of a nation regarding benefits of living in a village in order to, motivate the people to reside there. For instance, in 2015 the authority of the Maharashtra province ran a campaign on twitter and Instagram to encourage local individuals to live in a small town rather than, to reside in large urban. This step was work significantly.

Moreover, authority of country should also work to increase the job opportunity in the rural areas as, majority of civilians come across metropolis just four to get an employment. If the government will improve work opportunities in non-developed region, it would be very beneficial. Last but not the least, they should also reduce the amount of text in villages so that, people will more likely to live there. This effort will also create many business options other because, businessman will be encouraged to invest there.

On the other hand, citizens and builders also have to make some efforts to eliminate the following issue. Builders and individual should develop the city in the vertical way. They have to give priority to the skyscrapers and flats. Apartment usually require less space on the land, whereas, bungalows require it more. If a metro grows vertically, then  this circumstance should reduce effectiveness.

To conclude, I believe the large extent that the problem of inadequate shelter can be eradicated by government steps such as, making citizens more conscious to live in rural, although to get acceptable results builders have to take responsibility to grow metropolitan vertically. It is the most ideal way to deal with this issue.

(BAND-7.5)

(SAMPLE-2)

The population in cities is constantly increasing, and thus housing crisis is the most common problem big cities are facing today. This is a major concern for governments as it not only increases the cost of living but also affects the quality of life for its residents. I do agree that only governments can solve this problem by taking various measures, such as restricting landed houses to save space, encouraging vertical residential buildings and gradually expanding the city.

In the olden days, people lived in landed independent houses as there were lots of spaces in the city. However, this is not possible in  modern cities as the city population is increasing rapidly,  resulting in a space shortage situation for accommodating housing for all. One of the actions governments can take is to discourage building new landed houses and encourage people to live in apartment flats. For instance, the Singapore government has built thousands of high-floor residential flats through the housing development board to accommodate its ever-growing residents in an affordable way. It also stopped permission for building new landed houses to deal with the space crunch.

Some governments are also looking at options for expanding the city to create more residential properties. For example, Bangalore, one of the fast-growing cities in India is continuously expanding by incorporating more residential properties and other infrastructure on the outskirts of the city, which gradually becomes part of the growing city. However, this option is viable only when there are enough spaces surrounding the city. For cities like Hong Kong and Singapore, which are islands, the only option is to grow vertically within the city. Solving the housing shortage is an issue that requires proper planning and a big investment. Residents of a big city have very little to do and the government seems like the appropriate authority to solve this problem.

In conclusion, the cities are growing rapidly and so the residents of the city also grow. Thus, it is the responsibility of governments to take appropriate measures to create a better living place at an affordable price for its city residents.

(BAND-6.5)

(SAMPLE-3)

These days as the population is increasing at an unprecedented pace, the housing shortage has become one of the main consequences. It is concerned whether it is an obligation of the government to alleviate this issue or whether the nation is responsible for the lack of accommodation. I firmly believe that both parties should integrate and contribute to the solutions.

To begin with, there is ample evidence that sustainable housing is strongly due to government regulations. That is to say, political houses should establish certain restrictions on the numbers of people and land that is distributed to each citizen. For instance, a recent survey has revealed that 25 countries had a scarcity of land to construct new houses because of the fact that government didn’t allocate the land properly and residents were prone to build large houses in order to outperform one another, which later caused housing shortages in multifold metropolitan cities.

Secondly, it is explicit that because of the nation’s unprofitable purchase of lands and housing facilities, it has become prevalent to some citizens to inevitably live in flats and accommodations. It can be solved by public organisations that can share and divide some houses, which indicates that the government is not fully liable for such an issue. For example, several cities concluded that this problem is partly due to people’s actions, 45 per cent of which could solve this problem by uniting both the government and the nation.

To conclude, it can be clearly seen that I strongly advocate that it is not only feasible for the government to come up with a solution, but also citizens of the city are able to resolve the scarcity of housing.

Essay 21

21) Animals are in danger of extinction. Some people say that we should protect only those animals which are useful to humans. Do you agree or disagree?

In this century, many species of animals will not be founded after one decade. While some people are of the belief that we should take an action to save only those animals which give benefits to humans, others think humans should protect all animals for the natural balance. I disagree with the idea that is selective which kind will save, and in my opinion,  the protection should be for all kinds of animals because any animal on the Earth has its benefit. I will discuss this point of view in this essay.

To begin with, people who think we should select which kind will protect and which one uses to humans are focusing in short term; they believe other kinds of animals just created for no reason. For instance, according to environment article I read which said that many countries such as China tried to kill one kind of insects and after that, they surprised of the benefit of this kind of insect. Thus, this point of view on the wrong side because all species of animals will be useful to Earth’s environment.

On the other side, in my opinion, that is right when people think we should protect all animals and provide them with the proper facilities for the quality of life. a lot of animals’ right communities, as a prime example, they try to expand the awareness about these issues by making advertisements and collaborate with celebrities. Therefore, all animals much important to save the environment’s balance.

In conclusion, I am of the belief that all kinds of animals have Its benefit and we should protect them. Also, I disagree with this view of people who say that we should protect only animals provide us with benefits.

(BAND-6)

(SAMPLE-2)

It is an undeniable fact that many animal species are in danger of extinction. So, some people believe that humans only conserve those animals, which are beneficial for them, whereas others argue that all animals are important and they play their role in the ecosystem either directly or indirectly. I cent per cent agree with the latter view.

First and foremost, we should protect as many species as we can, because they are, not only an indispensable part of the ecosystem but also an integral part of it. Wildlife plays a vital role to maintain a perfect balance of life on the Earth. For example, some wild predators are very useful, due to they help us to control many species by hunting them, because of it they do not exceed beyond the limit.

In addition to the above, there are many insects and spices, which are important for making medicines of some incurable diseases, owing to it if these species are endangered, then mankind will undoubtedly suffer from these diseases. Also, this creates an imbalance in the ecosystem. For example, some insects are useful in growing crops. Due to their presence, the process of irrigation accelerated greatly. If they become extinct, then it will be chances that crop may not grow well, because of it mankind would have to suffer by starvation.

On the other hand, some people argue that these animals are in huge numbers and it is okay to kill some animals for various purposes such as food, medicine and so on. It is also important to kill them to maintain life balance on the Earth. Some insects and animals create more nuisance, they degrade the quality of the food crop.

To conclude, all kinds of animals play a crucial role in the food chain. So, saving them is our onus, because they help us in many ways.

 (BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-3)   (BAND-8)

From our early existence on the Earth, animals have been human companions. However, the animal kingdom is on the edge of being completely extinct. Some people, therefore, may believe that it would be better to conserve the fauna that brings benefits to humans. I am not going along with this opinion, as their living is justified and we could destroy our planet.

First of all, it is the animal’s right to live and be protected. Animals are the friends of human beings but from the past, people have been killing these creatures for food, for furs or cutting down on the habitats where they live to make farms. In fact, they also need to live in a world of freedom as us, with no animal-hunting activities that are just to meet our demands. It would be brutal to let them alone to face the catastrophe that has been made by our doings.

In addition, only preserving living animals that we can take advantage of can cause a great loss of the biological diversity. In fact, every creature in the world has many complex relationships with others and when one vanishes, related animals would be severely affected. Moreover, this may exert disastrous impacts on humans, too. These biological unbalances can trigger natural disasters which breed people’s death and famine in developing countries. Therefore, preventing them from suffering from extinction would be the top priority that governments would rather concern.

In conclusion, I am convinced that protecting all creatures that live on the Earth is extremely important. The reasons for that is that it is their right and we will devastate the diversity. Taking actions right now may be the solution to this problem and it also means ensuring our lives.

Essay 22

22) Many people believe that countries should produce food for all population eats and import food as little as possible. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In our modern age international trading is much easier than it was before; therefore we can find a variety of foods from all over the world on the grocery store shelves. Although some people think that every government should produce all needed products for their citizens within a country, since I am sure that some types of meals are literally impossible to be made or found without importing from abroad or at least it is not cost effective.

First of all, some products for foods are simply inaccessible in some places, while in other areas that products are laying under the feet. Though it is well known that the geographical location of the country defines its main type of food. Provided that in coastal cities or villages, seafood is a main and cheapest product, while in Kyrgyzstan, where you can reach the closest sea coast  after passing minimum three borders,   seafood is really is a treasure. Thus, for some countries it is the best solution in economic aspect to import some types of food from other locations.

Secondly, if any country is losing economically from the constant purchasing products, the best way to compensate it is to export other type of food, instead of cutting meal imports and leave people without some crucial food ingredients. As any country that has to buy something from other countries definitely can find what to propose in its own turn. For example, the valleys of Kazakhstan which have vast expanses of fertile land and pastures can export corns and beef to some countries like Japan and import seafood from them instead. Indeed, it is undeniable that it is better to export abundant products rather than waste it aimlessly and import needed products than suffering from of its deficits.

In conclusion, undoubtedly clear that in economic aspects any for any country is better to get some supply from other countries rather than trying to grow or produce that nutrition. Absolutely it can be technically difficult or too expensive to do it. I, personally, believe that every community must arrange comprehensive trading in both directions for more effective management of any kind of resources.

(BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-2)

It is a common belief that ensuring adequate food for all population always a hot topic during centuries. While some people agree that the country should produce all kinds of food for their residents instead of getting all the food from overseas countries. However, I cannot entirely agree with the given statement.

On the one hand, some people argue that countries should make plenty of storage foods for their residents because of some factors. First of all, self-sufficient supply is a way to cut food cost to some extent. For example, importing food from overseas countries, then the government has to deal with transportation cost, taxation, and other charges. Moreover, using import food which can affect people’s health. For instance, when food import in a long distance, then it cannot ensure the quality or freshness.

Nevertheless, I believe that self-sufficient supply can bring some downside for their nations. Firstly, it is not suitable for all the countries in the world. For example, some countries had been desertification and drought. Therefore, they cannot grow plants to supply for themselves. Secondly, it does not benefit the global economy. For instance, when a country is not connected with other countries in the world, it might become isolation country; it might cut its economy and lag behind compared with the world.

In summarize, while some people think that their countries do not need to import foods or goods from foreign countries because they think the government should produce all the food for them. However, I disagree with this view because this will bring some drawbacks and not suitable in some countries.

(BAND-6)

(SAMPLE-3)    (BAND-7.5)

Most of the people think that a nation should be self-sufficient in growing their own crops for the entire residents, thereby reducing the import of food items to as less as it could be. However, I disagree with it because of two major reasons.

To begin with, each crop requires an ideal climate and soil for their growth and therefore it is not possible to produce every type of food in one country. To cite an example, apples require cold weather to grow and therefore Middle Eastern desert countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, etc. Will have to import it from other apple producing countries. There are still many fruits, vegetables and grains that are unable to grow in deserts. Hence, it would not be practical to just rely on the minimal home grown crops. Therefore, a country will have to rely on other nations for food commodities.

In addition to it, once importing is reduced, there would be a price hike in locally produced crops. It is because, product quantities that are available locally would be less and subsequently the price also would soar due to high demand. It would result in no profit to anyone. As a result, most countries import items to stabilize the economy.

In conclusion, it is argued by most people argue that a country must produce its own food for the entire nation. However, I strongly believe that importing is necessary as different crops require various environmental factors to grow and less import results in a rise in the cost of commodities.

 (SAMPLE-4)

A part of every country growth depends upon the import and export of goods between them. Some people have an opinion that every country must keep all the food consumption for their people welfare because import has to be at a minimal proportion. In my opinion, there are several benefits why import is significant also proper food needed to be import ahead too.

Import is essential for countries and it would signify various reasons why it is necessary. Firstly, after keeping the appropriate option for their own country, it is required to import the leftover, which will be an income for local farmers. Product prices will increase if imported food has reduced and it results in no profit. Secondly, weather and soil conditions of all the countries are not similar. If any country is wealthy in the producing particular foods option comparatively more than another country, where no such crop is found than import could be done to balance it. For example, India is rich in the production of wheat, rice and spices, since other countries have no production of these products, then it is beneficial to import from those countries. Lastly, every country will not enrich in farming techniques, but they could specialize in manufacturing and industrialization. Hence, the import within the countries and balance the consumption of goods equally.

On the other hand, it is not always necessary that imported products will be of upgraded quality also the food is imported from long distances. Therefore, it could degrade and in some cases, even, chemicals are used to keep them.

In conclusion, it is essential for a country growth to do an import of food. Keeping the extra foods can result in wastage and loss in income for farmers as well as to make a relation with other countries import is vital. Import between different countries can create useful links and raise the growth of an economy.

Essay 23

 23) Some people believe that universities should only offer places to young students who receive high marks at school. Others think that universities should offer a place to anyone of any age. Discuss and give your opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

A common opinion is that in order to pass in some  universities, students should be young and have good grades. However, there are some people who argue that this should not be the case and that universities should offer places to students regardless of their  age and marks. This essay will discuss both of these views and will provide my own opinion.

On the one hand, in today’ society, age and outstanding grades are the main factors to be accepted in a university. Many prestigious universities worldwide rely on the grades and marks of the students as a sign of intelligence and  great potential. For instance, an excellent student background and exceeded grades might guarantee a direct place to study at the Melbourne University. Furthermore, some universities in Europe are completely clear with the age that they are looking for in students, to start a master, students should be under 25 years old, and otherwise, they will not be accepted. These standards and requirements might have some benefits in the academic world and might guarantee these universities more quality in investigation and procedures and the creation of new knowledge.

On the other hand, these requirements might have some negatives  long-term effects in  society and individuals. If universities accept students based only on high grades and age, there might be not enough professionals in the future. If few students are admitted in the courses, in the end, it is likely that just a few of them will fully complete their courses, which might be a problem in society. Moreover, these standards might create disappointment in some students as they might feel left behind. Some students are still having potential and talent without good grades and the right age. If they are rejected in these universities, their dreams and personal project might fade.

In conclusion, there is no doubt that high grades and age might guarantee some good outcomes for universities and society. However, nowadays, there are a lot of students seeking a place in universities. To me, It would not be fair to just be based on these two requirements when admitting students into superior studies.

   (BAND-7)

 (SAMPLE-2)

It has been an issue of debate that whether the university offer admit to those young students, who got higher marks or they gave admission to pupils of all age groups with low grades. This essay will discuss both sides of the argument in detail and provide evidence as to why institutes gave admit to young students who got high percentage in their secondary classes.

Some people believe that, courses that studied in institutes are more difficult and also a teacher studied all topics in depth to the students. So, if they gave admission to those students who scored less marks in their previous study, then it’s difficult for them to pass the exam. Additionally, if they failed, then they will include them in some criminal activity. For example, in the year 2016, according to Times News, 20% students in the academy, failed in their first year because of the little basic knowledge of their subjects. Therefore, the college should give entry to young students those who performed very well in their school.

On the opposite side, some people claim that, getting good tertiary education from the reputed institute is the right of the individual and it does not depend upon the age and grades that they score in their schools. Secondly, institute cannot judge the ability of any student on the basis of marks they scored. For an instance, according to the New York Times, Canada is the only nations that provides university education to all age group of pupils and also give entry to those students who scored less marks. Therefore, if pupils of the nation are literate then it’s beneficial not only for the individual, but also important for the nation too.

In conclusion, Although academy education is beneficial for the growth of the individual of all age groups, but in order to pass the university exam and survive in this competitive era, it’s good for the student’s if university gave admission to those  young students only who scored  high marks. Notwithstanding, students who capable of affording university courses, should not be profitable from national funding for education.

In today’s world, it is irrefutable that higher education is one of the major need of anyone. There are various factors such as age and grades, which affects the entry to the university. In this essay, I will discourse both views and share my opinion. Firstly, I will explore my view on why only scholars should be allowed and, secondly I will discuss why everyone interested should be encouraged for university admission and my opinion at the end.

To begin with, University education needs a higher level of concentration and intellect, which relates to the well grades by some people. As, University education system asks the student to explore the chosen topic by themselves and work towards it in consultation with their instructor. For instance, research in the field this sector showed that student with these assets offers better score in the campus placements.

On the other hand, marks and age should not be considered as a criteria for entrance, as, the bad result of student can be due to some personal problem. These personal problems such as, illness during exam, family issues, financial problem etc., can cause a major impact on the score and a delay in further studies. For example, health issue during final exam can cause a bad result of the candidate.

In conclusion, there are many reasons why people nowadays emphasis on the admission for only scholars, and there are many positive and negative to this trend. In my opinion, I feel that overall it is much better to allow all persons to graduate and work for a better future.

(BAND-8.5)

(SAMPLE-4)

Tertiary education is essential for achieving success in life. Students, who get high band scores, usually get a chance to admit in universities, though older students and having a low-mark in school life should also be gotten excess into the higher education. From my perspective, all types of students both youngest with high-mark and adult students with low-grade must have a right to earn knowledge from universities.

On the one hand, pupils who earn standard marks in all his academic life, easily get admission at university. The reason is that professors at tertiaries think that since the student has achieved the highest position at school, he must have worked hard. Eventually, he will do a better result in higher studies, and cope with the workload and activities-related universities and its teachers. For example, in school, the top-rated students are disciplined and efficient so that they do their tasks efficiently and listen what their teachers are focusing on. Therefore, the dean of tertiary education selects those brilliant students who could do excellent results. Consequently, this selection generates a higher level of citizens, and socioeconomic will be strong for these intellectuals.

On the other hand, each student has the right to study at the university level. It is justifiable to say that if all students get a higher education, any nation will develop immediately. For that reason, universities should give chance to age-students as well as pupils who obtain the lowest marks at school due to the advancement of a country. For instance, in the USA, the renowned universities such as Harvard or Yale – provide their admission form for all types of students, but they should have a quality which could be anything whether skilled at sports, art or higher marks gained in the school certificate. As a result, no one is unemployed when university graduates get their certificate from tertiary education.

In conclusion, it is a controversial issue about whether universities should focus on selecting the top-rated students from intermediate level, or, whether they should select senior learners who did not cut a good figure on the previous exam. In my opinion, both types of students must be selected by the University for the Socioeconomic Growth of society.

(BAND-9)

(SAMPLE-5)

There is a school of thought that only young candidates with the most excellent results should be admitted to a university. While reasons can be given to justify this, I support the idea that everyone should have the chance to pursue higher education.

On the one hand, young people with the highest marks are suitable students at universities. Firstly, it is their outstanding high school results that exemplify their ability to study well. Due to their high marks achievement, they must have mastered skills such as logical thinking, time management, or a good memory, which could effectively help them handle a heavy workload and pressure at university. By contrast, students who did not do well at high school may find it difficult to keep pace with the university requirement, which gradually leads to discouragement. Therefore, only young and excellent students could succeed in higher education systems.

On the other hand, I side with those who believe that universities should accept people regardless of their ages and previous results. First, everyone could reap the rewards from further studying. The knowledge they acquire from this may be helpful to their career. For example, many working positions require applicants to have certain qualifications, and a bachelor’s degree is one of them. Second, academic results are not the only way to measure one’s ability to study at university. Actually, there are various features, such as extra activities, special talents, or practical experience, that are taken into consideration when a university chooses its students. Besides this, the fact that students received bad marks in the past does not mean they could not gain better results in the future. As learning is a life-long process, everyone could be better if they put enough time and effort into it. These are the reasons why people of different ages should be allowed to study further, no matter what their previous results are.

In conclusion, I firmly hold the view that the chance of attending university should be given to people regardless of ages and results, not the only young ones with the highest marks

Essay 24

24) Many people today are choosing to live and work in another country after graduating from university in their home country. Why is this? Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

The number of students going abroad for higher education has increased tremendously in the contemporary world. In my opinion, leaving one’s own country for higher education eventually brings more problems than advantages.

Admittedly, there are some basic benefits to studying in a foreign country. Firstly, the student gets a chance to find employment in overseas markets after the completion of their course. Since salaries are higher in these countries, their financial situation will definitely improve when they work abroad. Secondly, overseas programs provide them with an opportunity to study with students of other nations. This in turn, not only develops their communication skills but also encourages them to think in a different manner, as they socialize with students of an entirely different society.

Nevertheless, despite the advantages mentioned above, I believe that there are some serious disadvantages to studying abroad. One of the major problems is that students who study abroad do not contribute to their own country’s economy. To illustrate, the migration of skilled people to other countries has slowed down the development of countries like India. Students who should) have been entrepreneurs in their own country, are seen running successful businesses and paying taxes in other countries. Another potential problem of studying abroad is that students have to pay higher fees for their studies. They often have to work part-time to fund their studies and this takes their focus away from their studies. Another issue is that living away from families in a highly competitive environment leads to a stressful life. This could be one of the main reasons that provoke students to commit serious crimes.

To conclude, people may have different opinions but I believe that the major drawbacks of going abroad for higher studies far outweigh the minor advantages. This trend affects the economic growth of their own country and also makes life stressful for them.

(SAMPLE-2)

Nowadays, more students choose to study abroad than ever before. While there are good benefits in studying in a foreign country, I believe that the drawbacks outweigh the positive impacts this trend has.

On the one hand, there are many benefits of studying abroad. Firstly, overseas students become more independent by living alone in a foreign country. For instance, they are responsible for cleaning, cooking, and paying bills. Secondly, moving to other countries can broaden students’ horizons. They get exposed to different cultures and customs and gain knowledge about them. Also, overseas students learn foreign languages to cope with the new culture they are involved in. Finally, foreign institutions offer better courses for students. The qualification gained opens the door to get better job opportunities with high salaries.

On the other hand, I would argue that studying abroad has more negative impacts than positive one. One problem is that it can affect students psychologically. Studying alone in an unfamiliar culture can lead to homesickness or even depression. Also, this different culture may lead to culture shock which may affect the student’s performance. Another drawback of studying overseas is that students can experience some problems with paperwork like visa permits and may struggle to find suitable accommodation and paying their bills. This may add more pressure on the students and interrupt their studying. Furthermore, the language barrier may exacerbate the situation. Studying in a foreign language is a difficult task for many students and if they failed to master the language and communication skills, this may lead to isolation from the community and might cause a failure in studies.

In conclusion, the drawback of studying abroad outweighs the benefit and this decision needs more assessment from the students.

(SAMPLE-3)

It is true that the number of students who choose to study overseas has increased rapidly in the past few years. Studying in a foreign country has its own positive and negative sides, but I personally believe that it has more benefits for the students themselves.

On the one hand, some believe that the choice of studying abroad has some disadvantages. One of the reasons is that studying overseas will cost more than studying in the home country. It is necessary for parents to spend more money on airplane tickets, accommodations, food, and clothes, besides tuition fees and uniforms. Another reason is that students might be unfamiliar and uncomfortable with the culture, environment, and language of the new country. As a consequence, it might have a negative effect on their mental condition and academic performance. Adopting a new environment often hampers the natural flow of study for many students and some students do not continue their studies to earn money when they are abroad.

On the other hand, another group of people thinks that studying in another country brings so many positive aspects for the students themselves.  Firstly, by studying in a new country, students will have a chance to learn new languages and new cultures. Secondly, students will learn about how to live independently, like cleaning their own rooms or doing the laundry by themselves. Thirdly, they could make new friends with people from other countries and get familiar with multicultural environments. Lastly, it is a fact that in certain countries, an international graduate certificate gives additional value when the students search for jobs.

In conclusion, it is undeniable that the preference of studying in a foreign country has its own benefits and drawbacks. Despite all the disadvantages, I believe that it has more advantages for the students themselves; therefore young people should be encouraged to study in a new country. Although some of them might have difficulties with the fees, many international scholarships are offered these days.

Essay 25

25) More and more people are working from home rather than at the workforce. Some people say this will bring benefits to the workers and their families, but others think it will bring stress to the home. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

The general public tends to believe that working online has more advantages compared to those who work in the office, but others do not agree with this statement. In this essay, I will discuss both these views and give my own opinion on the matter. Firstly, I will explore the way this innovation has changed the way human beings earn money and secondly, I will share the drawbacks of this trend.

To begin with, online jobs have fundamentally improved our modern society and brought a great number of opportunities we can use nowadays, such as being employed abroad and at the same time, staying at home. Moreover, an individual is able to complete his duties in his house without going to the office, which makes him save time and money. As a result, a person feels comfortable and becomes more concentrated on his responsibilities. For example, I have been working as an English tutor for five years already and it gives me a lot of free hours to spend with my family due to being at home all day long. On top of that, I can get up later and walk with my dog significantly longer.

Controversy, when we are not in the workforce it causes many problems associated with our productivity. For instance, we are entirely surrounded by our family members and things preventing us from working. Therefore, we postpone our duties and spend time doing everything else. In addition, it can be harmful to our health both mental and physical due to a sedentary lifestyle and spending many hours in front of the monitor.

In conclusion, from the arguments above in support of each opinion, we can see that there are many pros and cons of being employed from home and I want to say that it must be decided by everybody which way of employment to choose.

(Band-9)

(SAMPLE-2)

In recent, years people are beginning to believe that working from home is better than that from the office. But, few have different opinions regarding this notion. Here, I will explain both scenarios and share my perspective regarding the same.

There are many advantages to working from home, for, example person is familiar with the working environment and won’t take much time to adjust, which would eventually improve the output of his or her work. Moreover, they won’t feel disconnected from their families. Also individuals who travel from far-off places save a lot of time for the commute. But, with some pros comes cons as well, one of them will be if employees have any doubt regarding any task he or they will not be able to directly go to their seniors for advice and have to schedule a Zoom meeting for the same.

Similarly, working in an office has its benefits too; firstly a person leads a disciplined life every day and learns to follow a specific routine. Furthermore, employees meet new people in their office which helps in social development. In addition to this, if workers have any queries they can easily approach anyone they want which will increase their productivity and work can be done at a faster pace.

To sum up, I believe it depends on every individual if he or she wants to work at home or at the workplace, At the ,end what matters is if they are able to meet the deadlines and work in giving the desired output for the firm.

(BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-3)

One of the debatable concepts of today’s world is place of work .A bunch of personage claim that the work in home is better so it is a just argument, howbeit there are some who express disagreement with it and buttress that the work in office is better. In this essay , I will explicate both stances before percentage my opinion.

On one side, the crusaders of work in home express their support valid grounds. Firstly, the simplest exposition can be save time and money. To elucidate further, they don’t need cars or pay any breakfast from restaurant for example in confide 19 much people work online so, they are saved 100 riyals or more .Additional point to put here is relax . To be more specific they can work with pajama in their bed. Moreover, they can work with their family in their hometown .So; they can work through phone or Laptop in house.

Reasoning from other side, partisans of work in office proffer plentiful reasons to show their prospectus. In the first place, they can see shear the experience with them .By way of explanation they can know about deep information and do it such as Ream when she work in London. She meted with a huge name so she can know a huge data.

To summarize the composition, the essay explicated online work benefits not only this but it also shed light on office work benefits. To be honest, I totally accord with online work because it has positive points more than office work.

Essay 26

26) One way to solve the problem of congestion is to increase the tax on private vehicles. Do the advantages of this solution outweigh its disadvantages?

A highly controversial issue today relates to whether to have a congestion tax or not on personal vehicles.  In this essay, I am going to analyze the given question from both points of view in terms of merits and demerits and then explain why I believe that imposing a tax proves to be advantageous.

On the first hand, there are copious folks who argue that the benefits of VAT on private owners considerably outweigh its disadvantages. The main reason for believing is that traffic congestion on the road is a paramount issue in the current age and people prefer to travel their own bikes instead of public transport is a significant factor to rush on the roads in addition to this, it leads to other crucial cause of concern as there is no denying the fact that traffic incidents are raised in recent years, as well as climate, is changing dramatically, it is vital to have heavy tax on private bikers will lead to a reduction of transports on the highway and advantageous not only for humans but for other natural species. to cite an example, A global study indicated that more than 50% of UK Nationals prefer to take public transport of their own cars because the heavy penalty has been imposed on their citizens hence, a reduction in traffic has been noticed on the roads.

On the other hand, others believe that it is not a suitable solution to that issue. The government should take crucial measures to sort out the problem by constructing flyovers and tunnel systems and designing street infrastructure in a manner that eases travelling. Otherwise imposing a fine system in order to reduce transportation on the road leads to an abundance of problems and disadvantages for businesses and folk. for example, Germany is developing new roads under the tunnel and flyover in order to accommodate the heavy transport and denied the imposition of a levy congestion system leads to the demoralizing of the citizens and negative effects on the business and their sales prediction.

Finally, to recapitulate, I believe both arguments have their own merits and demerits. On balance, however, I feel that government should raise awareness among the ethnic people and design their highways infrastructure that is suitable for the general population.

(BAND-9)

27) Some people believe that to reduce industrial pollution a tax should be imposed on companies, while others believe that different measures should be taken to solve the problem. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

A highly controversial issue today relates to whether to have a tax system or not in order to combat environmental pollution. In this essay, I am going to analyze the given topic from both points of view and then explain why I believe that it is paramount to consider other suitable prevention to protect the climate and imposing a tax system leads to negative concerns and thus will lead to a logical conclusion.

On the first hand, there are copious folks who argue that the benefits of a heavy tax on industries considerably outweigh its disadvantages. The main reason for believing this is that businesses are considered the backbone of the economy of each nation and imposing environmental VAT on these companies leads to halting the production capacities as a result, the loss suffered by the countries and economy also slump, therefore, in order to protect the atmosphere we should be focused on others suitable measures. for example, A recently global survey indicated that the significant factors polluting the environment are the emission of co2 by motor vehicles, and data brief that up to 65% of pollution is caused by the transport hence, imposing a VAT system on companies is not a suitable solution we need to revoke or reduce the consumption of fossil fuels.

On the other hand, others believe that climate damage is mainly due to other activities and we need to consider other measures. The population often has this opinion because they think that the rising population and extensive usage of private vehicles trend is mainly causing the concern and polluting the weather in addition to this, in order to room the greater community the deforestation or cutting down the plants and trees increases the DE purify air. to cite an example, A world index report indicates that the world public has raised recently by 35%, and for the sake to provide the housing to the general public deforestation is at a peak level causing air pollution

Finally, to recapitulate, I believe both arguments have their own merits. On balance, however, I feel that we should consume other sustainable resources e.g wind power and solar energy, and industries need to consider environmentally friendly products such as green products that are crucial for protecting the planet.

28) Employers sometimes ask people applying for jobs for personal information such as their hobbies and interests, and whether they are marries or single. Some people say this information may be relevant and useful. Others disagree. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

A group of people think that seeking personal information during interviews is relevant while others oppose this strongly .I would like to share both views in detail and also dictate what should I think about this.

Advocate think that asking personal knowledge of the interviewees will help to understand the character of them and they can easily identify whether these people are apt for this kind of jobs. For instance, newspaper associations conduct an interview and select some candidates without asking for any personal information among them one who doesn’t have any interest in creativity was posted in the creativity section

As a, result it ends in failure. Categories employees according to their interests are very important to a company’s success.

Vice versa, opponents think that the employer will ask you things in a negative manner. For example, IPS interviewees are pregnant at the time of the interview they will think that this will adversely affect the productivity of the club. This will create a negative impact unnecessarily. Are like granting maternity benefits in a short time of joining it is a complete wastage for the company.

In ,conclusion my opinion is that understanding the personal information of employees up to a certain limit like marriage status area of interest work experience will help the manager to a category according to their needs this will make a drastic change in the company profile.

(BAND-6)

(SAMPLE-2)

Some people think that employers should ask personal questions during interviews. However, others oppose this idea. In this essay, I will present both opinions as well as discuss my point of view.

The advocates believe that asking interviewee’s personal questions like hobbies and interests, makes employers understand more the personality of the job seeker. Therefore, the employer will be able to judge whether the interviewee will fit into the company’s culture. For example, airline companies give their employees the benefit of flying for free on a standby basis. If someone does not like travelling, the person will not appreciate this benefit, moreover, they will not be able to share their travelling experiences like everyone else. Isn’t this frustrating? If this happens, employee satisfaction and productivity will decline.

The opponents think that personal information could have an adverse effect on the hiring decision. For instance, if the hiring manager knows that the interviewee just had a new baby, the manager may assume that the interviewee may not be able to meet work expectations because of personal commitment. Hence, this new parent may not be hired. Another situation is getting information about where the job seeker live. Employers sometimes reject people living far away because they assume this may affect punctuality.

In conclusion, I believe diversity is very important in the workplace. The diversity of thoughts and opinions leads eventually to better decisions. This can be achieved by asking less personal questions like marital status and asking more about work skills and experiences. The less personal info the interviewer has, the less likely they will take a biased hiring decision and the more likely there is diversity.

Some recruiters inform candidates to expose their private details to the company, and this has become controversial as most individuals are reluctant to share these. However, some people believe sharing these kinds of information across the company is necessary. This essay will explore the reasons for both the ideas, and express my point of view.

To begin with, sharing some personal details with the recruiter might be helpful to show your abilities in personal development. Some recruiters use leisure time activities and personal interests to measure their personality. As an example, if the candidate has engaged in team games such as soccer, volleyball and hockey mean the company assumes that this person could be a good team player. Secondly, it is a vital factor to share the mutual status as some companies offer a health cover to the candidates’ immediate family members. Thus, there are positive aspects of sharing some privacy data with the company applying.

On the other hand, employers sometimes take decisions too earlier by looking into their personal details rather than evaluating their candidacy for the job role. For instance, some companies believe that if the candidate is already married and also a parent then that individual might not perform well in the organisation. Hence, some people do not like to share their personal information with organisations.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that at the first instance of the recruitment process there is no requirement of sharing personal details with the recruiting parties unless those are not mentioned in the job description requirement profile due to the fact that companies expect to evaluate the person based on the skill required.

Essay 29

29) Some people say that television is a very useful tool when it comes to education. Others argue that television is a much overused ineffective teacher. Discuss both of these views and give your opinion as to the usefulness of television as an educational tool.

Nowadays, watching T.V is becoming increasingly popular. While some people think that television can be used as Educational tool, others say that it is an ineffective way. This essay will discuss why television is a useful, knowledgeable gadget, and why others think it is not an effective method. Furthermore, it will elaborate my opinion, which is using the television is beneficial in Education.

As it is obvious, small screen is a way of knowledge. Everyone can know more about other Culture. As well as, watching the wildlife programs teaches people alot about the fauna. Not only adults learn from screen, but also children, because they can watch mathematical cartoon which gives them plenty of information. For instance, the last Harvard university research has concluded that digital screen is the way of literacy.

Using television, however, is not a good tool for Education. It is a waste of time and getting incorrect knowledge. Although watch T. V can be used as an Educational method, it can lead to losing the time, as people spend most of their day in front of it. Moreover, watching the wrong program gives people misinformation. In fact, if people over use T. V, it will be useless. Therefore, overusing the television is not an effective way for Education.

In conclusion, there is no denying how important role T. V plays. Even though some people think that it can be used for getting information, others believe that it is ineffective. While adults and children can use it for knowing another culture and the wildlife, they might get incorrect knowledge. From my point of view, after throughout analysis on this subject, it is predicted that, using of the television is a good way for getting information and knowledge.

In conclusion, whether or not T.V usages are becoming a doubtful issue. Although some people think that T.V can be used for getting useful information, others say that it is an ineffective way. From my point of view, studying music enriches human’s soul, despite of the drawbacks of wasting time. As well as, the advantages of watching it overweigh the disadvantages.

Television has become a major part of almost everyone’s daily life either as an entertainer or as an educator. While some people opine that it is only an amusement tool, others argue that it also imparts knowledge like a tutor. In my essay, I would discuss both viewpoints before reaching a conclusion.

On the one hand, the majority of contemporary telecasts are either looped programs or reality shows which attract children only for their recreational value. These telecasts deprive them from active learning while making them addicted and lethargic. For example, cartoons keep children entertained with audio-visual effects, leaving them physically inactive without any informative material. Similarly, networks which are meant for conveying news to people are being used as tools for political propaganda. With the broadcast being one-sided, it gives people further misinformation rather than educating them.

On the other hand, with the evolution of the small screen, children are able to learn from interactive programmes. Nowadays, kids enjoy programmes which are similar to the schoolroom, but with a twist of entertainment. They learn and imbibe faster when it is visually appealing. For example, Discovery-kids, which telecast science experiments, helps youngsters to understand the subject better than the theoretical instruction. Likewise, wildlife programs expose people to fauna across the globe. Not only do people learn from these programmes, but are given a virtual tour of the world through the eyes of the photographers and explorers.

In conclusion, the Television is educating as well as entertaining, it is the viewers who decide its effectiveness with the content choice. Therefore, adults should monitor and encourage their offspring to watch knowledgeable programs, so that, they can reap from the benefits rather than squander their valuable time before the entertainment box.

People always have different views about the role of TV in education. While some think watching television is an effective method for teaching students, others argue that it is ineffective and has potential problems for children. In my opinion, it can be very useful if it is used under supervision.

On the one hand, some argue that teaching by television may cause a range of problems. First, most programs do not require much thought which may sometimes have a negative impact on students such as violence and crime. As a result, it is possible for children to imitate and influence their physical and mental health, even have a negative impact on society. Second, compared with teachers and books, there are limited educational resources on televisions because most of them are entertainment programs, sometimes with advertisements. Consequently, students cannot learn too much especially in their areas of interest from the television.

On the other hand, there are lots of benefits in obtaining knowledge by watching television. Firstly, television programs can be informative  and educational which allow viewers to have access to a huge variety of channels, For example, there are two programs in China which called “The Animal World” and the “ Historic Talk”, people can learn different spices and Chinese histories by watching video records. To be more specific, televisions can make boring subjects more attractive and easier to understand.

In conclusion, although television has some drawbacks because of the lack of control, I strongly agree that it is a good tool for teaching due to it can stimulate people’s interest in learning. In addition, colourful videos make all knowledge more interesting and real.

(BAND-8.5)

(SAMPLE-5)

A highly controversial phenomenon today relates and society is divided into two groups as per the distinct mindset of different folk. Therefore, this has become a hotly debated issue of whether television proved to be advantageous for learning or not. In this essay, I am going to examine both points of view in the forthcoming paragraphs and thus will lead to an analytical conclusion.

To commence with, the first notion there are copious people who argue that the benefits of television considerably outweigh its disadvantages. The main reason for believing this is that undoubtedly we are dwelling in the age of technology and modernization and a bunch of study resources are widely accessible in the form of e-books and PDF format in addition to this students are heavily reliant on the information technology but also learn as a prime source of education owing to easiness and world institution are increasingly shifting to the trend of virtual study. to cite an example, A recently published report indicated that studying from home and any parts of the world has grown and represented 70% of the pupils prefer to get knowledge hence, online education and through plenty of sources is highly demanding and presently prevails.

On the other hand, others believe that being heavily hooked up with E-learning leads to adverse effects, and the standard of enlightenment plummets with the passage of time.  It is often argued that owing to the addiction to remote tuition tutee grades has been declined rapidly. Citizens often have this opinion because it drives the negative concerns, as well as the role of teachers has been faded and their living is dependent on the teaching profession. For example, if the entire world converts to the e-schooling the tutor’s role will vanish in the future and there is no denying the fact that millions of teachers are linked with that profession and feed their families moreover, the physical interaction between teachers and the classroom atmosphere is vital for the learning process.

Finally, In conclusion, I believe both arguments have their own merits. On balance, however, I feel that overreliance on online education has negative consequences and the role of physical interaction has faded which is extremely crucial for the learning process for students.(BAND-9)

Essay 30

30. Some people argue that arts, such as paintings and music, are a waste of money and the government should spend this money other public services. To what extent do you agree with this statement?

Many people have an opinion that the use of money on art forms is an unnecessary expense for government sectors. Instead, some suggest spending money on social services is a better option. I have the opinion that these funds can be used for the betterment of society.

To begin with, creative activities have influenced among human population up to some extent, even though it is illogical to expend a large amount of cash on them. Owing the importance of investing income in other purposes such as the development of hospitals, infrastructure and foreign business could help people to get  stable well-being in their own country. To elaborate, if the public sector fund is utilized for raising better health facilities could improve the medical status of the population. Consequently, eradicate most of the contagious as well as lifestyle diseases. In addition, smooth transportation service is inevitable, for that using amount for the construction of new roads is also a necessity for the expansion of the nation.

Furthermore, these reserved currencies can be disbursed for double the national economy. For instance, tying up with internationally established companies automatically increase the country’s income. As a result, a huge number of youth could get job opportunities .In this way, each family in the country could attain financial security and the whole population would be proud of their rulers. Considering these factors, artistic activities require only need a very minor portion of public funds in order to maintain their presence.

To conclude, putting more finance on music and other cultural events is complete nonsense. Everyone hopes for a better future in society, so  it is unavoidable to invest in the widening of the kingdom.

Nowadays teenagers change their carrier to artworks. Some individuals believe that government should stop funding arts-related categories such as painting and music and instead of that should spend money on other services. From my point of view, I completely agree with the notion because the availability of those finances helps youngsters stop their education. Those funds diverted to other infrastructure will assist everyone for a better future.

Let’s begin with; the funding from the law enforcement agency to art forms will increase the adolescents to break their educational life from the school. Everyone will divert to those things to become musicians or others. This will have detrimental effects moreover; will increase other sorts of problems in their future life. For example, In, Norway one school gives loans to students for their extracurricular work such as arts . As a result, the majority of students leave the school and are diverted to others forms of activities.

On the other side, The money will use for other public services such as road works, hospitals, airports and other services that always will assist to develop the infrastructure. As a result, a lot of people get a job because of that unemployment decrease and also the crime rate diminishes. Secondly, the expansion of roads will decrease the accident rate and also the facilities of hospitals will also be expanded. Those changes will help the governments also .They get income from these authorities and that income will use for other sets of good things therefore the development process is carried out.

To conclude, certain individuals argued that the funding for art forms stopped and instead of this it will use for other useful public services that will give the development of infrastructure and this will leads to everyone to be a better life.

Many adults believe that arts are essentials for our life, others argue that arts, such as music and painting, are a waste of money, and therefore authorities should allocate this money on public services. I hold the view that this social thinking is a positive development because of the lack of public services in the society, such as health and education services.

To start with, some people and I are of the belief that spending money on arts are a waste of money. In other words, arts and music should be funded by private companies because it may be considered as a profit organization, and therefore to contribute positively in the society authorities could encourage individuals to participate in both arts and music. According to a survey conducted by The Times news, almost 60% of overall arts and music media provided by private organizations which are made by private business. It may be assumed that spending money by government on this sector of the society is a waste of money.

In addition to this, government should spend money on public services. To illustrate more, public services, such as health and education, these things determine the quality of life that most of us have. For instance, in the developing countries, the government should allocate more resources on health to improve the health system. If the government does not spend enough money on hospitals, the health of our society may decline; government at the end is responsible to provide better health service for all members of the society. Hence, government must spend a large part of its budget on public services rather than arts or music.

To conclude, although there is an argue on spending money either on arts and music or on public services, it depends on the progress of the nation. In my opinion, in developing countries, authorities should spend a large part of its budget on public services to rather that spending on arts and music.

(BAND-6.5)

(SAMPLE-5)

Some individuals opine that governments should spend money on public services rather than on arts like paintings and music, which are a waste of money. I am in complete agreement with this statement because the welfare and development of people should be the prime concern for the government.

Firstly, many countries reported shortage of funds to fulfil the needs for better welfare of people. In other words, these nations are not economically strengthened enough to meet the needs of the people and to provide better public services for their citizens. Consequently, spending the funds on the civic issues and betterment of public services is the noble way. For instance, in 2011 North Korea spent a record share of their country’s annual budget on the arts despite being on the bottom list in decent public service provider chart all over the world, inevitably, causing an unrest among the people.

Secondly, the other reason for my opinion is the lack of the meteoric rise in the development. That is to say, governments are not concentrating on modernization of the villages and small towns such as improvements in infrastructure, roads, and transportation. Apparently, a better way of living for these people unfolds distinct opportunities for people, which might not be seen the light if not for the development of their area. For example, a report in The Guardian stated that, the UK has seen an astonishing rise of opportunities for their people when they spend their significant share of annual money on the development of their villages instead on the arts.

In conclusion, I completely agree that spending money on arts such as paintings and music, are a waste of money and the government should use that for public services.

Essay 31

31) Some young people are leaving the countryside to live in cities and towns, leaving only old people in the countryside? What problem does this cause? What can be done to solve this problem?

Urban life has attracted many young people from rural areas over recent years. Today, a number of young individuals are moving from rural to urban in order to live. As a result of this, elderly people are continuing to live in rural places. This trend causes some problems such as overpopulation in cities and towns and a decrease in the productivity of agriculture. However, the government can solve these problems by investing in agriculture and facilities in the countryside.

Living in urban areas is thought that it offers a variety of job opportunities and this result in the fact that young people, who live in rural places, lead to move to cities and towns. However, there are some problems which the trend creates. Firstly, overpopulation is a major concern for many cities due to the loss of attraction of the countryside. For instance, in Turkey, the number of people living in urban places has dramatically increased since 1990s. Secondly, the fact that rural places, where is the most important area to produce food, lost their popularity result in a decrease in the agricultural production. The reason is that rural people moved to cities and towns to have a higher life standard.

Despite some problems, there are some solutions which the government can implement. Creating job opportunities in rural areas would be the most effective solution. For example, the government can build factories in those places so that young people work in the industry. In addition, the administrators can promote agriculture among youngsters. To illustrate, young people enjoy food production and live in the countryside if the government financially supports them, and introduce modern agricultural methods.

In conclusion, rural life has gradually lost its popularity over a period of three decades. Youth prefer to live in cities and towns due to attractive opportunities and the trend is resulting in the overpopulation as a problem, and also the demise of agriculture. However, the government can address these problems related to population and agriculture by investing in rural areas young people to have a desire for rural life.

(BAND-8)

(Sample-2)

Major cities of the most countries in the world are expanding at a very fast rate in terms of populations. One of the most common reasons found is the influx of young people from the smaller cities or towns to bigger cities for better job opportunities. This trend leaves rural areas with a sharp decline in percentage of youngsters to the total population. As a result, multiple problems in the social and economic sector are experienced by people.

One of the major problems is drop in young workforce in small cities. Young people work in multiple sectors- for example, banking, carpentry, small industry etc., hence contributing to the economy of the countryside. Migration of young adults leads to decrease in the new talent available in the rural areas and economic growth of the villages is hence impacted. Not just rural areas, but cities are also economically impacted because of migration. Another major problem is social security of the older people. It is well established fact that burglar/rogues target the houses where only elderly people live. Studies suggest that many old folks face mental issues such as depression, anxiety etc., because they feel lonely. In case of health emergencies, often help is delayed because there is no one to take care of them.

Considering the seriousness of the resultant problems of this trend, the government must put efforts to solve the problems caused by the migration of youngsters to bigger cities. In most of the cases, adolescents or youngsters move to cities for better education, better job opportunities or a better lifestyle. If the administration sets up good facilities for higher education in the villages, such as- by opening more colleges, then less people will leave for educational purposes. The government should try to create more job opportunities in the villages. The governments can take inspiration from Japan, where the administration established laws to increase the establishment of companies in rural areas, and consequently providing jobs for young rural people in both skilled and unskilled sectors.  Government should encourage self-employment and the growth of small sector industry by giving away loans to people associated.

To conclude, many socioeconomic problems may arise in big cities and the countryside because of the influx of large populations from rural areas. This migration can only be decreased if the governments take necessary actions to provide education and jobs in the countryside as well.

(BAND-8.5)

(Sample-3)

There is no doubt that these days moving of young people into urban areas from rural areas has been an increasing issue, which in turn would lead to leave their elderly parents behind. In this essay, I am going to discuss the possible consequences and the appropriate solutions of such issue.

In terms of the negative side, it is commonly believed that moving into crowded cities is considered a key factor that might lead us to the global warming. The main reason given to support this claim is that living in major cities is one of the main contributing factors of the pollution. For instance, large urban regions have a lot of public transportation, which is usually associated with an increment in degrees of temperature and ratio of pollution. Hence, such effect would increase the global warming risk. Also, a decrease in the farming could result as consequences of leaving rural regions, which is thought to be one of the main investment fields in the world. To illustrate, a lot of investment in this field would lead us to depend on importation from other countries, and consequently would load the budget.

On the other hand, it is thought that this issue has to be tackled with proper solutions. Firstly, encourage living in the rural areas by providing excellent investment chances for the population, for example, offering investing chances based on the needed local products and decreases the taxes for the local factories. Secondly, construction of high-standard school would be an encouraging choice for the adolescents to pursue their education, which in turn would help them later to get the best employment offers compared to cities population. Therefore, the youngsters would stay, and take care of their parents.

In conclusion, although moving into major urban areas is considered an exciting idea for the young people, it is considered a serious problem and needs to be tackled.

 (BAND-7)

(Sample-4)

It is a very common trend to move to urban area from rural area in search of better job opportunities and lifestyle leaving their old folk behind. Definitely, this trend can cause a severe imbalance in society. In this essay, I tend to write in-depth reasons for this pattern change and solutions to overcome the negative side.

To begin with, it is undeniable that today’s youngsters are career-oriented so they always look for enhancement in their education and career, which is not entirely possible in rural areas. Consequently, they tend to move to cities which offer better education in terms of good universities and later on open doors to multiple job opportunities. This is a predominant reason, why youngsters prefer towns over villages. Unfortunately, this migration causes lot of hardship to seniors who are left behind. In their past sixty age when they need support, they do not have their children to take care of them. As a result, many elderly people prefer to move to old age homes where they may or may not receive adequate care.

To resolve the aforementioned problem, I believe aid from the government and the young generation is essential. From the government side, they can create higher education and job opportunities in rural areas. Also, they can insist big companies place their workspace in villages by providing subsidies. As a result, this may avoid unnecessary migration to cities and employment opportunities in any part of the nation.  While from younger generation side, for instance, they can take help of technologies if it is possible for them to study online or working remotely, they can enhance their career and the same time they can take care of their family.

To sum up, old people are crucial for society as they have more knowledge and experience. A combined effort of the government and today’s advanced generation can make this world a better place by providing balance in society.

Essay 32

32) Online shopping is significantly increasing. What effect does this have people, what are the demerits and what are the job opportunities?

In recent years, the relevancy of online shopping is dramatically rising day by day. It is a convenient and quick way of shopping for busy people, as it is not requires any effort. Moreover, online shopping can increase opportunities of professions like web-designer and IT specialists in job market. However, the quality of purchase products cannot meet expectations.

First and foremost, people of all genes and ages can find out various and necessary options for shopping in online sites. There are many goods with premium quality, and then time of delivery is faster. It is reduced waste of time, which more people, especially women, spent for ordinary shopping. However, more and more online markets started their jobs in the last year, after that the price of items began decrease due to the profit and competition between markets. This is lead to the decline of product’s quality. Consequently, some customers receive low-quality products instead of original. Therefore, the number of high-rated electronic shops is limited.

On the other hand, online shopping increases the job opportunities of professions related to the IT. Online shopping requires a friendly interface and online marketing for development. It is mean that the demand for web-designer and such type of jobs will be significantly boosted in job market. In addition, jobs connected with online services will rise too.

Taking considerations into account, online shops are an easier and faster way of shopping. Also, time for choosing goods will be relatively slow down. Nevertheless, the standard of products in some online businesses can be decreased because of strong demand.

(BAND-6)

(Sample-2)

In the digital age, more individuals tend to purchase a product online, which is known as online shopping, instead of the shopping centre. Personally, it provides various positive and negative effects simultaneously and I will elaborate on job opportunities in the following essay.

On the one hand, online shopping would deadly affect individuals if they are careless on internet platforms in terms of security and reliability. For example, there are several unreliable products on the internet, which sometimes illustrates as a real brand name in their websites but send with imitated products. Additionally, putting private information like credit card numbers or passport id on unsecured websites not only leads to losing a bunch of money but also private data. Consequently, traping on scammer methods affect both financial and mental health.

On the other hand, electronic commerce plays a crucial role in driving business, leading to reaching a large number of customers throughout the world. Moreover, various online platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, allow a company to persuade a wide range of consumers. Consequently, after attracting by the e-commerce on those platforms, some people tend to purchase those products easily online with a click without wasting the time on travelling to the centre. As a result, the companies need to increase the new position related to the internet platform, leading to an incline of employment.

In conclusion, it can be clearly seen that while there are some effects on people in terms of product reliability and financial risk, the job opportunities for them should be considered, particularly in the area of job employment.

(BAND-7.5)

(Sample-3)

Since last year when a lot of people sit at home, online shopping has increased. So now there is a question about how it affects and will affect people’s lives and what are the advantages and disadvantages of online shopping.

Online shopping as any other business has advantages and disadvantages. One the one hand, one of the best advantages of online shops, they  have a variety of goods, fast comparing prices and no more crowded stores.  And secondly, especially nowadays when we have social distance, online shops are the best idea. Also it is easier as you can see all items on your mobile phone or laptop without any effort. But on the other hand, usual shops have one of the hardest times in this period. Less customers, destroyed items and lost jobs workers are also part of economic difficulties of developing online shops.

The bright side of this is that there are increasing job opportunities.  Furthermore, online shops are one of the best places to work for IT- specialists, because a growing amount of buyers need a good website to work. These sites need to develop day by day so people with computer skills can always find a job. Although delivery men will always be in demand, it is good for people who are students or illiterate people.

To sum up, as mentioned online shops made everybody’s life easier in all aspects and all types of markets but it has shown that it is also one of the steps in the digital era of humanity.

Essay 33

33) Immigration has a major impact on the society. What are the main reasons of immigration? To what consequences can it lead?

Nowadays, a vast majority of individuals tend to leave their hometowns toward other cities or countries due to various reasons. Consequently, it brings some significant effects for both the mother and the host country. This essay will shed light on factors pushing people to migrate, subsequently, the feasible impacts.

To look closely at the matter, as the welfare and necessary facilities are not equally distributed between cities, towns and rural areas, or, generally, among the countries, many humans have been deprived of their simplest rights such as a healthcare or education centre, as the examples. Apart from that, there are invariably better destinations for the promotion in career or pursuing higher educations, which draw the attention of the demographics. For example, precious universities like Cambridge annually absorb a large number of students.

It is indisputable that these immigrations entail both positive and negative effects for both the birth regions and second ones. Firstly, to beneficial effects, all immigrants in their countries suffer from lacking the quality of life, will obtain opportunities to gain it through the work or study. This, in turn, will lead the organisations and universities to take advantage of the competence and hardworking newcomers.

However, as most leavers will work, marry and raise the family, they postpone coming back to their hometown after the retirement or marriage of their children, so some developing nations will experience brain drain and lose the professional workforces for a long time. For instance, a considerable number of Iranian every year immigrate to other nations and take excellent positions in different top companies all over the world such as Nasa.

To sum up, the incentives in developed areas and the shortcoming in other ones result in migration, which causes brain drain, as a negative aspect, and personal promotion, as an example of positive consequence, mentioned above.

(Band-7.5)

(SAMPLE-2)

It is obvious that immigration has been affecting all societies around the World for a long time. Naturally, there are some reasons why people prefer to move from their hometown and also results are occurring because of this circumstance.

To begin with, one of the main reasons is that people want to live in a safe country because around the World there are still some countries which have had wars or disasters so people might escape from these difficult standards of living. Moreover, the other reason is that these people would like to have better job and education opportunities so they could move from their hometown to seek better conditions. For example, ı would like to study in Europe in order to develop myself in my profession so that is why people wanting to improve themselves might go to the other country.

On the other hand, immigration leads to some negative results for immigrating people. One of the negative impacts on these people is that people’s expectation may not always come true because during adaptation period people might be struggling with difficult situations due to not knowing exactly the customs, traditions and language skills in a foreign country that is why the countries have to run various refugee assistance programs and organizations to help those people.

To sum up, ı think that people immigrate in order to have and live in better life conditions. However, living after immigration may not always meet people’s expectations. So, it is very important to consider all the possible outcomes.

(SAMPLE-3)

People moving from one country to another has been going on for a while now, and there are many causes of migration. Some of the top reasons include seeking work opportunities and fleeing persecution. There are both positive and negative effects that include economic growth and pressure on resources.

To begin with, individuals migrate in such for job opportunities and green pasture. Their home countries could be having limited employment opportunities and they struggle to feed their families; hence, they decide to migrate and seek better lives elsewhere. This is common in the third-world countries, whose citizens, for instance, move to Europe, the USA and Canada. In addition to the above, some could be running away from persecution spearheaded by rogue regimes. Some countries are known to persecute their citizens for political and religious reasons. An Arab state like Saudi Arabia is an example of some of the notorious countries known for targeting political dissidents.

On the positive side, immigration, however, can result in economic growth for countries. The United States and Canada are some of the most developed countries in the world, but this growth is largely driven by immigrants driving up the economy. They could contribute to jobs that require highly skilled and low skilled workers, thus paying taxes, buying properties and spending most of their income within the host countries.

On the negative side, the influx of foreigners could strain physical infrastructures such as hospitals, sewerage systems, water supply and transport systems. These newcomers need water, health services, and to move from one place to another. Australia is one such country that is trying to encourage immigrants to settle in smaller cities, as big cities are becoming highly populated.

In conclusion, immigration occurs since people are seeking better job opportunities and escaping repressive regimes. There are also benefits and drawbacks such as growth in the economy and straining the resources of the countries.

(SAMPLE-4)

In the present day, the number of people moving to another country has increasingly popular among individuals and this process results in a high rate of immigration, which is when a person leaves their home country in order that to start a life in a different place. This essay will discuss the major reasons for this phenomenon and are possible consequences.

First and foremost, the major reason for this personal choice is the fact that individuals are seeking better opportunities for jobs and studies. In addition, when a person takes this decision, she is looking not only for job satisfaction and a work-life balance but also for a safe place to live with their children, where there will have security and better educational systems. For example, in a metropolitan city, such as Toronto and New York, the likelihood of a person get an excellent job in a prestigious company is much higher than in a small town. The more opportunities, the better the quality of life.

Secondly, this process can result in cities completely without structures due to the substantial number of individuals moving to a specific site, in other words, urbanization can change the infrastructure of cities resulting in negative aspects. The more people living in the same place, the more the number of cars in streets which leads to increase of greenhouse gases effects; in addition, noise pollution and lack of green areas are much more present in big cities due to advance of globalization. For instance, some international research shows that metropolitan centres present more deforested areas in relation to small places since these areas are used for the construction of houses and roads.  It is necessary to a strict control to balance both the advantages and the disadvantages.

In conclusion, immigration has been presented in our society as people seeking better opportunities, which is an acceptable idea but at the same time, the negative effects can endanger the world for the next generation. This essay discoursed about reasons and consequences of the immigration process.

Essay 34

34) Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Discuss both viewpoints and give your own opinion.

Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. In the following paragraphs, both of these views will be discussed in detail before the conclusion is reached.

It is true to say that in some situations people should accept a bad situation such as people who live in a developing country where dictatorship rules and has a lot of corruption in the government sector. If peoples protest and criticize the government, They will restrict freedom and was sent to prison. Moreover, this concept makes mindset people that they have karma from a past world and tyranny has rightness to rule citizens.

However, If people think as same as the second paragraph. I surely agree that the world cannot break through with innovation. For example, Before the France revolution in 1789, French citizens were ruled by the king in an absolute monarchy. Accordingly, People were stilled poorer and starvation at this time. If the French people did not fight against with first estate group, they were still ruled by tyranny and cannot develop a country into a full-democracy system.

In conclusion, I could not agree more that humans can develop themselves by trying and improve a bad situation and the world will change by the power of humans who desire to change a bad situation to a better quality of life for themselves and for the next generation.

(BAND-7.5)

(Sample-2)

Any human is called during lifetime to face several challenges in many aspects, such as an underpayment job or o tough working environment. Many individuals pathetically deal with the given circumstances, while others dynamically react to create new opportunities.  Through this essay, it is going to be discussed both views and I will state my opinion in favour of an energetic way of acting.

First of all, it is often argued that people, who welcome any cruel term in their routine, are living a calm life. Indeed, a stoic approach is helpful for anxiety management and people with that attitude avoid diseases caused by stress.  For example, recent researchers approved those employees who did not fight for extra money and suffered stoically any financial difficulties tended to minimize the possibility of a heart attack by 3%.

On the other hand, people, fighting for better conditions, achieve to upgrade their living standards. In particular, significant philosophical theories indicate that a human being has to constantly assert  better potentialities for his/her evolution in order to enjoy  living. This is clearly illustrated by the working strikes of the 50s, in which the working union managed to change the working hours from 12 to 8 per day.

Personally, I stand for the latter idea, insisting on the superiority of intensive behaviour. Admittedly, at any historical phase, human life was improved due to revolutionary movements. Hence, any individual according to his/her social position should continue to fight for improvement and change.

All things considered, although acting with understanding and taking things as it is, could be beneficial for an unstressful living, I support that the dynamic attitude towards the difficulties can really upgrade the system. Therefore, humans should establish critical thinking and do not afraid to fight for their rights.

(BAND-7.5)

(SAMPLE-3)

These years, while there is a wide belief that individuals should accept what they have, such as a low-income occupation or a lack of money, I firmly believe that striving for better situations is the needed action. I will discuss my arguments and detailed examples in the essay below.

On the one hand, there are various compelling reasons why society accepts their unlucky cases. First of all, trying for improvements is hazardous, and requires significant effort. Therefore, accepting their current circumstances can make society safe, and give them a sense of happiness to some extent. For instance, when seeking an occupation, it may be unsuitable or unsatisfactory. Furthermore, wars, epidemics, or economic downturns are the problems of a country; hence, it is impossible for an individual to alter the situation

On the flip side, I strongly believe that citizens should brace for some methods for a better case. The first reason is if the community wants to succeed, they need many trials and errors. Once communities are afraid of failure, many breakthrough inventions could not be invented. Secondly, by solving problems, individuals can discover their skills and abilities and live a livable life. Let’s take Tuan Hung, a tik-toker in my country as a prime example.  He lost both legs when he was a kid. But due to his unending perseverance, he could pursue his football passion.

In conclusion, it is my belief that it is better to attempt the better circumstances because of its benefits.

(SAMPLE-4)

A highly controversial issue today relates to whether to admit adverse circumstances in life or to endeavor to improve the condition In this essay, I am going to examine the given question from both points of view and then explain why I believe that the position can be changed with the passage of time depending on the determination and hardworking in the forthcoming paragraphs.

To begin With, There are a number of arguments in favour of my stance. The most preponderant is that undoubtedly hardworking is the key to success and everything is possible in this world it is solely reliant on effort and can alter the verse circumstances. For instance, world history indicated that all worlds’ prominent persons modify their life and achieved their targets by elevating the struggle. In addition to this, there are numerous other benefits in various fields. Thanks to the wide range of advantages it offers, not only does one benefit more when it comes to being effective, but they can enhance productivity and quality of their lives, with much ease, efficacy, and convenience. Needless to say, all these merits stand out in good stead, as far as augmenting the chances of prosperity and excellence is concerned.

On the other hand, another pivotal factor in the aforementioned proposition is that it is only likely to help one thrive and excel in varied areas. Besides, when only one follows such a system, can they broaden their horizons, hence learning these attributes as dedication and perseverance? as a result, it is apparent why many are in favour of hardworking. To cite an example, success always comes from the level of effort and strong standout in order to thrive and conquer.

Finally, to recapitulate, the aforementioned arguments, I would like to restate my position that the benefits of struggle are indeed too great to ignore the disappointment and in the current age, there is no need to accept bad situations.

Essay 35

35) Some people believe that reading stories from my book is better than watching TV or playing computer games for children. What extent do you agree or disagree.

Offspring are the backbone of every country. This is argued by a few people that it is essential for children if they read a story rather than watch television or play computer games. I completely agree with the given statement for a plethora of reasons which I discussed in a further essay.

To begin with, the first reason why I agree with the given approach is that the storybooks are generally full of inspiration besides that if children read inspirational books from childhood they will learn good things. From my perspective, sincere adults are the result of the childhood they have been raised in. Apart from this, they will grow the habit of reading which would help them in future. For instance, if a person has a habit of reading then that person would not get tired of reading study books which could help with a great career.

Furthermore, increment of vocabulary is the second reason why I believe children should prefer the books over TV or computer games. Reading a storybook on the daily basis will increase the knowledge of the language. Such as how typical words can be in any language or sentence structure and many more things. On one hand, children would get a good grip on language at a young age due to reading storybooks. On the other hand, watching TV or playing computer games could harm their eyes as well as mind if we do such stuff the whole day.

In conclusion, Even though some folks believe watching television or playing computer games could increase the technological knowledge of children, I believe reading storybooks will not only inspire them for doing good things but also increase their knowledge of any particular language.  (BAND-8)

(SAMPLE-2)

It is not uncommon that Children nowadays gain knowledge or entertain themselves by reading books and playing computer games or watching TV. Although reading books can be always seen as a better way for children to study, I would argue that watching tv or play computer games also play an equally important role in their life.

There are many TV programs which are very popular among young children, like the cartoon, dancing video and so on. These programs (especially informative television) can attract children’s attention and encourage their interest, and it is easy for young kids to understand the theme of programs. For example, these kids who often watch some videos about table manners are more likely to develop good behavior patterns from a young age. By contrast, children who just care much about books may not understand and acquire easily this kind of knowledge.

In addition, playing computer games is sometimes regarded as a good way to cultivate children’s creativity. Children playing electronic games are more likely to understand rules and how to become a final champion. Unlike books, Since games can give children a real experience by playing a role. In other words, these children should not only use hands but also use their brain. As a result, those children can do an exercise in intelligence and creativity, which is beneficial to their development later.

Meanwhile, we must recognize that books show the same importance in children life. There are too young to not be able to distinguish the difference between right and wrong. Books aimed for children would be a good choice to improve the level of knowledge, probably because these books are composed of best contents (such as educational stories, fairy tale and so on) which are suitable for young kids with limited understanding abilities or problem-solving abilities. In contrast, without books, children who spend much time playing games or watching games may lose interesting in studying.

In conclusion, I would argue that books and some entertainment activities for children would have the same significance in children’s life.

(SAMPLE-3)

Reading stories in books is a basic way for children to obtain knowledge and open their minds.  Although watching TV and playing computer games are also popular educational methods among children, I believe that reading books is better and offers more advantages than watching TV and playing computer games.

Learning by reading is more effective compared to TV and games because it is an active activity. Like any other skill, reading takes practice. To fully understand the content, children have to give all their attention to the text. Also, more than just understanding a certain topic, children tend to develop imagination, as they imagine the characters from the description they read, which helps them to learn more efficiently and deeply in the future.

Furthermore, reading stories also helps children master language development, as by reading stories, children learn pronunciation and vocabulary. It also increases a child’s attention span, and develops the ability to concentrate. It develops children’s ability to express themselves more confidently, easily, and clearly in spoken and written terms. It develops and fosters a child’s natural curiosity

On the other hand, the knowledge disseminated by vivid pictures on screen is easier for children to imbibe, but too many moving objects and colorful images can distract children, especially some young kids, from other important tasks. Playing computer games also can be very addicting, as a result of which children fail to do their homework. Additionally, spending too much time before a computer screen or watching TV can lead to health problems such as shortsightedness. Therefore, reading is better for both efficiency and health purpose.

In conclusion, it can be reiterated that reading stories in book is better than watching TV and playing on computers, as it is a more effective way to learn and is better for health.

In today’s modernisation, we are living in a technological era, where technology has spread its legs in every nook and corners. There are some individuals who hold the arguments that storybooks are better options for their children as compared to computer video games. This essay will intend to analyze both pros and cons of this situation before drawing a reasonable conclusion. I strongly agree with the statement.

To begin with the advantages of reading a story book, the first and foremost benefit is that it enhances the linguistic skills. It means that children can develop a multitude of language abilities with the help of reading habits. Secondly, the student can obtain the depth of knowledge. In other words, the pupil can get the detailed knowledge about any subject. Last but not least, Student can also increase the level of concentration. To illustrate this, the pupil can hold their concentration for more time by long time reading habits It would be worthwhile to cite an example regarding the survey conducted in London observed that 56% of students have better IQ levels due to story reading habits.

On the contrary, playing Computer games can have many drastic effects of children developments. By playing video games or online games, children lose their interest from academics. Furthermore, they become more aggressive. It means they lose the skill of socialize and also not capable to develop cognitive skills. Consequently, children get alienated from their family bonding’s. For example, 78% of students in Japan have felt the problem related their bad behaviour due to the large time they spent in playing online games.

To conclude, reading story books have a multitude of merits as they can be helpful in a variety of ways as compared to playing online games since they destroy the brain of children and also detached them from family bonding. Thus, a storybook reading is always a good way to develop a good human being.

Essay 36

36) Some people say that TV advertisements are helpful for viewers, while others disagree. What is your opinion?

A highly controversial issue today relates to whether online adverts are advantageous for the audience or not. There is no denying the fact that commercials are enhancing a person’s knowledge in numerous aspects. I firmly agree and withstand the given notion. This essay will further elaborate on my visions in the forthcoming paragraphs.

To begin With, There are a number of arguments in favour of my stance. The most preponderant is that undoubtedly advertisements are designed to cater to the customer’s demands and provide core information about a product’s ingredients.  for instance, A global report indicated that more than 70% of sales solely rely on advertisements in addition to this, there are numerous other benefits in various fields.

As a result, it is apparent why many are in favour of adverts owing to plenty of information. To cite an example in order to stimulate awareness about the rising concern regarding cancer and its causes World health organizations each year spend millions of dollars on commercials to educate peoples.

Finally, to recapitulate the aforementioned arguments, I would like to restate my position that the benefits of tv commercials are indeed too great to ignore the disadvantages of any products in the current age there is no doubt these kinds of adverts are vital for the folk and provides helpful information.  (BAND-9)

(SAMPLE-2)

The importance of TV advertisement which was always debatable has now become more controversial with many people claiming that it is beneficial while others reject this trend. The substantial influence of this notion has sparked controversy over the potential impact in recent years.in my opinion, advertisements are helpful and appear to be more rational. This essay will further elaborate my viewpoint in favoring of this trend and thus will lead to a conclusion.

Analyzing the statement and further explaining, the first and foremost reason is  to know about the product before buying it. Hence, most of the folk checks the different websites for purchasing something, compare that then decide to buy that. Another striking reason for is fact is that attract the consumer by doing advertisement including actresses in that .so that consumers buy the product ASAP. Categorically discussing.it cannot be ignored the main stem of the fact is that commercially increase the profit.

every coin has two sides, so, there are some pitfalls that negate the arguments and which certainly overwhelm the potential influence of this trend but one of the most preponderant is that we cannot analyze the product whether it is fake or real .thus, a while to buy any product .besides, due to, advertisements folks buy things unnecessary .like, they influence by the advertisement and just buy that without the need for it. Hence, it is apparent why many are against this trend.

To recapitulate, according to the arguments aforementioned above one can reach a conclusion that the benefits of advertisement are instrumental indeed. Nevertheless, its potential drawbacks should not be overlooked either.

Nowadays, we can see advertisements surroundings your areas not even on TV. Some people say that TV advertisements are helpful for viewers, while others disagree. In the following paragraph, I will discuss both views and explain my opinion.

On the one hand, some people say that advertisements in media are annoying. Firstly, Advertisements intervene when they watched a drama, variety and news. Advertisements make interrupt and somebody said they are hard to watch and understand. if communication is not broadcast continuously. In my experience, when I learnt online or watched cartoon movies via YouTube video clip, I feel advertisements are annoying when I watched to the peak of content. Then, the YouTube program system intervenes with advertisements. Moreover, Most of the advertisements are ridiculous and have only promoted Products Company.

On the other hand, some people say that TV advertisements are beneficial for viewers. Primarily, Advertisements affect benefits to economic growth. For instance, they invite citizens to buy products and sometimes have special prices for people. Secondly, some creative advertisements contribute to new morals and public order. For example, In Thailand schools have nonsense rules such as boys students cannot have long hairstyles or girls students cannot put on makeup. Recently, It has advertisements promoting makeup brands and reflects school social problems that make children shy and lose self-esteem. Accordingly, I feel this is the best advertisement.

In conclusion, It depends on each mindset to consider whether advertisements have value or not. In my opinion, I prefer advertisements which contribute to breakthrough morals and public order.

Essay 37

37) Some people feel that the government should regulate the level of violence in films on TV and at the cinema. Others feel that violent films should not be regulated. Discuss both views and give your opinions.

Some adopt the view that the council is believed to be responsible for censoring films so as to stay away from  excessively aggressive scenes. Meanwhile, others think that they are as they should be. I will discuss both views of the essay before my view is drawn at the end.

On the one hand, there is a widely held view among people that violent movies had better be censored to an extent. Initially, it has been mentioned that humans, these days, are significantly influenced by that kind of art. For example, millennials are obsessed with behaviours and dialogue which are performed by actors and actresses. If it hadn’t been for authorities’ censorship, youngsters would have been the victims of violence. Additionally, it is true that movies authorized by the administration are bound to be on air so that they couldn’t bring unexpected implications to the community such as crime.

On the other hand, however, individuals suggest that action movies are superior without regulations. In fact, those scenes are thought to attract the audience’s attention because they contribute to enhancing theatricality. Thus, if vicious actions are cut back on, the audience finds it less thrilling and even tedious to keep their eyes on. Consequently, the number of viewers and theatrical citizens may decrease, diminishing the revenues of the filmmakers.

In conclusion, it is generally believed that aggressive films should be regulated by the council whereas there is the opposite trend among the public. I strongly believe that film producers had better take violence degrees into consideration before publicly launching their products. By doing this, they can avoid the pity consequences, for instance, a broadcast ban or having to mitigate the brutal actions after regulation. (BAND-9)

(SAMPLE-2)

Some people feel that the government should regulate the level of violence in films on TV and at the cinema. Others feel that violent films should not be regulated. In the following paragraph, I will discuss both views and explain my opinions.

On the one hand, some people say that the level of violence in films on TV and at the cinema is unnecessary. Firstly, the level of emotion in each of peoples is different. Some people prefer watching action films and movies. Accordingly, Films and movies should not be controlled by the government. If some films and movies are unsuitable for a younger age, they think that it is parents’ duty to control their children.

On the other hand, however, individuals suggest that action movies are superior without regulations. In fact, those scenes are thought to attract the audience’s attention because they contribute to enhancing the atrocity.

(BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-3)

Some people think that regulating the level of violence in film on platform TV and the cinema is necessary. Others, however, feel that the violence in the film occupies a very important position then regulating it is impossible.  In this essay, In this essay, I will discuss both views and explain my personal view of violence should regulate the level is lower than present.

We can’t deny that the violent scene is important in films and it can decide the success of a movie but at this time,  I want to reduce the level of it. Firstly, the program film on TV is usual in all of the family which the youth groups to elder groups can approach it. Because of common telefilms, too many violent or action hot scenes may have an adverse effect on the amount of groupage. We can’t accept that children watch violent scenes too much because it can affect their personality in the future and the elderly when they see it can be a loss of dining customs.

Secondly, movies with many violent scenes may reduce the value of content in some aspects. I agree that films need hot scenes but if they don’t maintain anything about lessons or high entertainment, I don’t think that is a good movie to watch.

On the other hand, there are those who think that regulating it in films is unnecessary for some reason. First, the violence can touch the highest mood of the viewer and make an important contribution to the films. I said that because the factors create a successful film based on the value they give it and the various scenes that attract them. Furthermore, it’s a preference for some people. Therefore, I won’t discuss it in this case because it’s your personal view.

In conclusion, I would say that films on television need to regulate it because of the commonality and usual of it. Besides that, movies at the cinema can be more open about the scene but we need to limit the age of each film to suit all groups of groupage.

Essay 38

38) It will be better to have wide use of driverless car for individuals and society. To what extent do you agree or disagree with the statement?

Driverless cars seem to be widely discussed these days. It appears that these cars’ usage will be better for society and individuals. I disagree with these cars usage since they are not beneficial in the present scenario due to their sensor issues and non-alignment of their traffic in roads.

Coming to the individual side, the primary reason for the issues in driverless cars is certainly their sensor levels. These cars have not been fully developed to sense the surrounding objects clearly, which may pose more threats to road accidents. There is no clear empirical evidence that these cars can detect objects precisely. For instance, if the sensor of the car does not detect the opposite dimensions of the object clearly, it may lead to a collision. And there is more scope to develop these sensors efficiently before making these cars available to the public. Moreover, the present traffic system is not aligned to deal with driverless cars. These cars use an Artificial Intelligence system that is recoded to ride in simulated traffic conditions. However, these conditions are dynamic in nature and those cars may not maturely choose the correct step while driving on busy roads. Thus, it clearly demonstrates that driverless cars may not seem better for individuals.

Turning to the Society side, these cars may pose threat to society as it leads to loss of jobs for many people. These smart cars may replace driver jobs, which are performed manually. Furthermore, these cars use heavy technical equipment, which makes them more expensive. In other words, these cars may attract only the affluent section of society, leading to an imbalance in ownership of these cars in society.

Admittedly, it is true that Driverless cars can reduce human efforts on driving work. However, the accidental threats that these cars pose to both society and individuals have more damaging effects.

In conclusion, although driverless cars reduce human intervention, these cars may seem a threat in present days due to their sensor and traffic management issues. I, therefore, tend to disagree that driverless cars will replace the present driving system. (BAND-6)

(SAMPLE-2)

Some people consider that community and individuals can be benefited from the widespread application of driverless cars. As far as I am concerned, I agree with this viewpoint to a small extent as the drawbacks can overtake the benefits.

To begin with, having wide use of driverless cars can result in unemployment. As only a little academic qualification is required to become a driver, many people live upon this occupation. For example, some early in Hong Kong support their life by working as a driver. Therefore people will be replaced by robots or machines once the driverless car is imported. As a result, those with low education will lose jobs and turn to government subsidies in order to finance their daily expenditure.

However, some people argue that using driverless cars can reduce the chance of accidents. As the processes of robots or machines are set by humans, the sensitivity will not change to other factors. For instance, machines’ attention will not be affected by chatting. In another word, driverless cars can maintain a high concentration at any time. Therefore, a safer reaction can be made by driverless cars in some emergency situations as they can calculate and analyze the data in a shorter time.

In conclusion, although  safer traffic can be provided due to the high-quality reactions made by the driverless car, there are actually fewer and fewer road accidents recently. Therefore, protecting the job positions is more crucial as it can bring a financial burden to both individuals and society. (BAND-8.5)

(SAMPLE-3)

While the work on creating fully driverless cars is still in progress, some people say that should it become a reality, then driverless cars should be used widely. They assert that this has real benefits for individuals and society. This essay will discuss the pros and cons, and offer my own opinion on this statement.

Those with reservations cite traffic congestion as a real concern. If autonomous cars become popular, we could see a significant increase in the number of cars on the road. People who were unable to drive would have the opportunity to use these cars instead, meaning that the number of vehicles in circulation could rise dramatically. Additionally, there is the potential loss of jobs for many people, should driverless cars become the norm. Uber and taxi drivers, as well as truck drivers transporting goods cross-country, would have their livelihoods severely impacted by such a change. Furthermore, an increase in unemployed citizens will have societal repercussions.

However, I believe there are considerable benefits to autonomous vehicles being widely used. Firstly, there is the human and social benefit, with the potential for lives being saved. An estimated 90% of all road fatalities are attributed to human error. Speeding, drink driving and distractions occur frequently, with 1.3 million people killed worldwide each year in traffic accidents. Removing the human element from driving would reduce accidents and save many lives. Secondly, the majority of driverless cars will be electric, which will have crucial benefits for the environment. Electric vehicle use would reduce the amount of emissions released into the atmosphere, which means a healthier, cleaner environment for people, and much less illness.

Though the reality of autonomous cars is still a way off, the benefits to individuals and society greatly outweigh the negatives and should be considered.  (BAND-6)

Essay 39

39) Many manufactured food and drink product contain high level of sugar, which causes many health problems. Sugary products should be made more expensive to encourage people to consume less sugar. Do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, we cannot deny that the vast majority of people tend to consume more and more sugar on a daily basis. Moreover, a lot of manufacturers also produce food and drink products that contain high levels of sugar. Some people suggest that the best way to reduce the number of people who love sweets is to make sugary products more expensive.

From my point of view, I do not agree that sugary products should be made more expensive to encourage people to consume less sugar. This is not the best solution to solve this problem because it will not fix the root of the problem. Because not only can sugar cause a disease, but unhealthy food and snacks can also be reasons for having an unhealthy body too. For instance, if I have to pay more for sugary products, I will choose to buy hamburgers and pizza instead. Therefore, the result will be the same but with only a different type of disease.

In addition, there are more smart ways to encourage people to consume less sugar, and it would be easier if the government took serious action on this problem. The government is a crucial part in urging people to be more concerned about their health behaviours. The government should provide information for everybody to raise their awareness and acknowledge sugary products via brochure or television.

To conclude everything that has been started so far, I believe that there are many ways to encourage people to consume less sugar rather than making sugary products more expensive. If people get to know about the negative effects of eating too many sweets, they will change their eating habits and become healthier at the same time. And also, they can save their money to spend on other things in their life. (Band-6)

(SAMPLE-2)

Sugar is an important source of energy for the body and has various benefits since it could absorb quickly and be used immediately. However, consuming too much sugar could cause more harm than good. Many manufactured food and drink products such as fast food contain overdoes of sugar that the body needs. I definitely agree with the statement that higher prices on sugary products would help people avoid health problems and change their buying behaviour.

Consuming high sugary products such as sugary drinks, candy, baked goods, sweetened dairy, and fast food could bring negatively affect our body in many ways. Eating these kinds of food could lead to some serious diseases such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and tooth decay. In addition, sugar is lack nutritional value. Adding it to foods and drinks significantly increases their calorie content without adding any nutritional benefit.

Increasing the price of sugary products is the best way to reduce health problems in order to change their buying behaviour. For example, if healthy food is cheaper than fast food, people will be turning to eat healthier foods more. Moreover, when people tend to buy  less sugary products, it would encourage manufacturers to produce products with less amount of sugar. Thus, sugar consumption would reduce significantly and it would reduce overall health issues.

To summarize, many manufacturers generate high-sugar foods that are harmful to our health. Therefore, increasing the price of sugary products could decrease the consumption rate of this kind of food. It would also push producers to create sugar-free goods.        (BAND-7.5)

(SAMPLE-3)

Nowadays, there is numerous food and drinks products contain a lot of which has bad for your energy and cause many matters of health. It is recommended that sugary products should sell more expensive to encourage humans to consume less sugar to protect their health. This essay will give causes for my answers and cover any examples from my own knowledge and experience

I totally agreed that should be made high-price to encourage citizens to use fewer carbohydrate products. One of the reasons is to avoid plenty of harmful diseases. If society use eatables and drinkables containing high levels of carbohydrates, there will a higher blood pressure, then they can lead to much illness, such as inflammation, weight gain and so more. Social statistics illustrate that 70% of citizens around Vietnam got diseases related to the digestive system, which is very dangerous to their health. For example, old people using too many sugar products will get a harmful sickness and accelerate the ageing process.

To solve this issue, the government not only made it more expensive to encourage people to consume less sugar, but also make this to education. Every child when studying in a school should be learned about the disadvantages of using too many a glucose products, to make a piece of knowledge for their own students, and then they can avoid this. From my point of view, acknowledgement should be a substantial way to change consumer behaviour.

In conclusion, sweets and many products including sugar bring many critical problems; however, each individual should have an awareness to keep healthy and avoid the cause of serious diseases.

(BAND-6)

(SAMPLE-4)

Nowadays, the majority of food companies incorporate high content of sugar into their product. Some people are making the general assertion that the production of food and beverage products includes an excessive amount of sugar that can lead to various issues that are related to health and the price of sugary products should be costly to reduce the consumption of sugar. Although there are arguments on both sides, I completely agree with the given statement and will provide further details to substantiate my arguments

It is undeniable that nowadays, people rely on quickly processed food for meals and snacks. These products undoubtedly contain a huge proportion of sugar. Furthermore, experts believe that increased consumption of sugar is a major cause of obesity and many chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. To cite an example, in America, the rates of obesity rose significantly among adults. So the authorities should create a public campaign and awareness of the disadvantages of this kind of food.

Additionally, by increasing the price and tax of unhealthy snacks and drinks, the authorities can indirectly influence the manufacturing of alternative health products. Increased price tags will become a major problem for companies as it results in less profit. For instance, the Singapore government has recently increased the price of sugary products. Hence, unhealthy foods are being replaced by healthy foods such as fresh fruit juices.

In conclusion, it is indeed that high consumption of sugar added products will put the individual health at risk, thus, to avoid these disadvantages; a government agency like FDA should release strict laws & regulations that will benefit the wellness of people and implement a higher tax on these foods.

40) In some countries, more and more people are becoming interested in finding out about the history of the house or building they live in. What are the reasons for this? How can people research this?

In many nations, more and more individuals are staring interestedly in exploring the old stories of the buildings or architectures that they live in. I think the main reasons are based on most people have the natural desire of that keen to know the histories of a place that they living in. Firstly, people have the natural desire or attempt to know the histories about the house that they living in. They want to know the old stories of the building  to see whether it holds value. Secondly, in addition, when people purchase a house, the traditional culture of the building and the owner’s capacity could make a huge value on it and could be a good investment. When people attempt to purchase the Hu Tong building, they always want to know the history of this house and the property owner’s story. Sometimes, the story on the building could have a big return on investment.

Regarding the methods of research the information of a house, there are amount of ways that on doing it nowadays. For example, in Japan, the suicide rate is significantly high. On the other hand, the methods of research the information of a house are getting extremely convenient in recent years with the development of the internet. People could get the number of details from the website.

(SAMPLE-2)

In recent years, many people are concerned to discover the history of their residence. This essay will explore what might be this care and methods on how the society can find out the information.

The primary reason for exploring their residence is due to the huge investment in owning a property. Therefore, they are keen on taking precautions measures to secure their financing, which can be threatening if the property has terrible notorieties. For instance, if a criminal act has occurred in a building or a place, such as murder or others, people fear such incidents will somehow happen in the future. This bad reputation could drop the market value of the place. Besides that, homeowners are more concerned about the durability of their house structures due to climate change that affects every continent in the world.

There are various methods to discover it. The first one is to find any news related to the districts you live in from the internet. Secondly, to interview local residents in the town as they have been living in a particular area for a long time, they must have heard many myths as well as experienced some by themselves. In this case, individuals can acquire first-hand evidence. Thirdly, paying a visit to the construction office as they can provide the details about materials to build the houses.

In conclusion, in many countries, people are more intrigued by the history of the places they intend to live in, for various reasons such as their families’ safety and money investment. There are many approaches to find out how the houses are built: internet, local persons and offices. (BAND-8.5)

In many countries, a growing number of people are curious about (intrigued by) the history of buildings they dwell in for several reasons- fear from superstition, loss of saving. Moreover, people can get enough information about facilities through their real state agent or construction office.

Owning a house or apartment is a huge investment for the majority of people. Therefore they are keen on taking precautions measures to secure their financing, which can be threatening if the building or the house has terrible notorieties. For example, if a criminal act has occurred in a building or a place, such as murder or others, people fear such incidents will somehow have consequences on their lives. Even if what they believe is just a myth. Besides, this bad reputation could drop the market value of the place.

Due to these facts, people should be inquisitive, especially (provided)if these decisions would have an impact on their family. Also, now dwellers can reach whatever information is needed through various channels. By asking your realtor, neighbor, fetching data from the internet, or paying a visit to the construction office, they will be able to provide enough information for that place. After that, if anything goes awry, people would blame themselves.

In conclusion, in many countries, people are more intrigued by the history of the places they intend to live in, for various reasons as their families’ safety and money investment. There are a number of ways that can help them acquire this information: internet, offices.

(SAMPLE-4)

In many nations around the world, there is an ever-increasing number of people who desire to learn more about the history of their residences. This essay will argue that this is mainly because individuals have gained more historical awareness about their cultural heritage and then suggest that information can be found by simply asking senior local residents and researching in community libraries.

The primary reason that exploring historical stories about accommodation is becoming a popular trend among homeowners is that people are more aware of historical values as there have been many campaigns about events in the past. As a result, individuals become more appreciative of old stories and try to find out about their places so that they can pass on valuable community knowledge from generation to generation and preserve them for centuries.

There are two main viable approaches to research the history of living places. The first one is interviewing elderly local residents in the town. This is because they have been living in a particular area for a long time; they must have heard many myths as well as experienced some by themselves. In this case, researchers can acquire first-hand evidence. However, some parts of the stories may have been altered since they have been passed down by word of mouth. Therefore, researching information from municipal libraries simultaneously is another good method to do. By this, dwellers can find solid proof in particular books, photos or even DVD records to ensure that their data received from folk inhabitants’ interviews is correct.

In conclusion, an increase in historical awareness drives people to study more about their homes. By interviewing senior residents and searching information in community libraries, accurate and reliable data can be achieved.

There is a school of thought that, some nations have a new trend of background research about history on particular commercial buildings or residents while they live in. The main reasons are based on most people interested in find family or behaviours of the resident that lives in the past while they keen to know about quality and how valuable of the building in that neighbourhood. Therefore, I will express these reasons and methods that can be used to find those details.

Firstly, as a nature of the human, they naturally have the enthusiasm to find the details about their property owners. To exemplify this, most of the real-estate investors are focused on search details and information of ancestors used those building while searching their pride that gain in those areas. Secondly, some humans may like to find about the fame or reputation of a particular property that was built in earlier ages. Hence, they can find out the method of use to construction and material that use on those days if there is a chance to find it. Essentially, property buyers may get the details about the strength and value of those buildings prior to their purchase.

If they needed to know about the above details they can use several methods to find these sources from those areas. Mainly, they can discuss with the senior citizens in the neighbourhood, and get knowledge about the valuable experience that they spend old ages. Although, they can use reliable sources are published in libraries about those homeowners while going through with the building plans that are approved by the councils.

To conclude, it is vital to note that, humans tend to get familiar with the locations that people used to live in to find out about the reputation that it gain and the method of construction those days use. Moreover, they can rely on historical documents and neighbourhood chat on those areas to get some knowledge about these details.

Essay 41

41) In many places women are taking jobs which are traditionally done by men. What do you think make these change happen. What’s your opinion about it?

There is currently a contentious argument over about for what reasons females are filling positions which were usually occupied by males in the past. This essay will examine some root causes related to this trend and present my opinion about it.

The main reason for this new behaviour is due to globalization. Nowadays, people are more connected than ever before, which includes the sharing of information in any place; therefore, it is extremely common to spot women doing some activities that society was not used to see before. For instance, some positions call for a new workforce in the field as a bus driver, which was mainly occupied by men. However, it is normal to see that women accept taking this sort of job since they cannot be harassed for being female anymore having no difference in comparison to men’s rights.

A second point that shows why the number of women doing these duties has increased is because of society’s evolution. The work environment and customs have changed in the last decades regarding the women assessment. As a consequence, the way of thinking of people has changed and the world calls for a society less conservative. If the world has not changed, it would have serious consequences for human being’s flourish. To illustrate, it is known that the number of women in the world surpassed the number of men, which means that the environment in different atmospheres tends to change according to each new chapter of history; otherwise, the world would suffer from consequences such as its extinction.

In conclusion, there are a couple of reasons for females have been more acceptable in the labour market. The most important of them is the globalization which bridges for the world’s evolution were constructed as well as the society’s new evaluation since individuals are having a new point of view on this topic. (BAND-9)

(SAMPLE-2)

Participation of female employees in the labour-market has been gradually increasing over the last decade. Liberalization of society in recent times promotes more women to work with their male-counterpart as their freedom of choice, but then again, a lot of them are being compelled to work in male-oriented industry. In this essay, the presence of woman in job-market as an effect of freedom of choice and family context resulting from a liberal society will be discussed in my opinion.

In an open society, everyone is free to make a choice. Similarly, women can decide the level of education they want to pursue and career-path as well. Joining the army by a girl, for example, was not allowed in many countries, but now, most of the nation agreed to open opportunities in military for everyone. As a result, though fighting wars, once thought to be a man’s job, has become very common among for female soldiers. As the free well is made public by the governments, the headcount of female citizens in physically-tough jobs are also increasing

Though a liberal society honors an individual’s opinion, some women are compelled to join male-oriented labour force. In other words, females, rearing children as a single mother, has to earn for the bread and butter for the off springs, no matter how capable she is to secure a favourable job. In Bangladesh, for illustration, 1 in every 1000 women has been working as a day-labour in the construction industry, working with male workers, as the wage-earner of her family. This society allowed them to join such industry, but family context created the pressure to deliver the hard labour.

To conclude, job opportunities are becoming more person oriented than male-oriented. Modern society developed the platform for the women to decide on their career, but they join a male-preferred profession either on freewill or they are being forced by family-context. (Band-6)

(SAMPLE-3)

There is a significant rise in the demand of male-dominated job positions by females in several areas. This essay will first, discuss the reason for the change in this trend and further agrees that women getting employed in jobs conventionally done by men are beneficial as it will ensure that jobs are offered to worthy candidates irrespective of gender, followed by a reasoned conclusion.

The principal cause for women grabbing jobs long-established for males is the change in the thinking of the society. This is to say, earlier people used to believe that women are solely responsible to get married and take care of the family, hence, they were not supported to get educated. However, as the time changed, girls are given equal importance as their counterpart. They are encouraged to not only complete their post graduation but also to build a successful career. As a result, women consider themselves to be no less than men and apply for jobs which were considered suitable for men. To elucidate, a recent study by The Times on March 2017 showed that more than 80 percent of females are taking jobs traditionally carried our by males.

This phenomenon is considered as a positive development because gender inequality will not prevail in the business world. In other words, company’s job positions are offered on the basis of level of education of candidates irrespective of gender. That is, females can also apply for jobs, done by males in the past and can even get selected based on their qualifications and expertise. To conclude, a recent study by The New York Times showed that there is a rise in 60 percent of females in sales and marketing jobs that were considered apt or males.

To conclude, women are obtaining male dominated employment in many places because the society considers girls to be equal to men. I vehemently agree that it is an effective and constructive development as equal opportunities are offered to both males and females.

   (BAND-7.5)

(SAMPLE-4)

In today’s scenario, gender equality in all aspects is the most discussed topic. Certain traditional jobs which are reserved for men are nowadays taken up by the women. This essay would discuss the circumstances making this scenario happen and would then portray my opinion.

There are a plethora of reasons for the women to grab the opportunities of the men. Firstly, education has made women come out of their homes and get into the jobs of their choice. For example, degree courses like engineering were strictly entertained for only men in the old days, but now we can see an equal proportion of men and women studying these subjects. Secondly, the Government has also increased the reservations for women in the areas such as Administrative services, police department, etc. so that the age-old belief of men only can take up these mentioned jobs has been rubbed off. Thirdly, the society has developed an out of box thinking, making gender equality come true. Taking an instance, we have seen an increase in the girl childbirth in developing nations. As a result, women are able to stand independently and look after their families. It is said that a good seed makes a good crop, the open-minded thinking of the individuals make the future generation respect women in all aspects.

To conclude, modern females are proving their abilities in all fields, throwing out the perception that some works can only be done by men. In my viewpoint, this development would lead to a more sophisticated society.

(BAND-7.5)

(SAMPLE-5)

Traditionally, Men and Women were trusted with a certain list of tasks based on their capabilities during the start of the human race. But we have come across thousand years of evolution and yet, we still have more reservations to make jobs to be gender-neutral. We will discuss the facts of how the trend is changing and what are the factors contributing to the change.

The first and the most important feature impacting point in today’s world is money. Because of that, in, families it is presumed that whoever earns will be assumed as leader of the family and due to that there are considered invincible and independent. Most of the oppression against women was staged pointing to them that they were not the breadwinner of the family. To be freed from this vicious cycle, the workforce in every other industry has been boosted by female employees. It empowers them with independence and helps make their own decisions rather than being dependent on men,

Second, the individuality of the people is often perceived based on the nature of their employment. Feminine was always considered as the weakest of all in terms of physical and mental strength. Because of this perception of communities around us, they were never allowed to pursue their dreams. On the contrary, this thinking has motivated females of all ages to prove everyone wrong and change the status quo.

In conclusion to the points listed, the jobs should never be based on gender, it should rely on the abilities which should be tested rather than assumed. Our generation has kicked off this transition of breaking women into industries to support them and also reap the benefits out of it.

Essay 42

42) In some countries people spend long hours at work. Why does this happen? Is it positive or negative development?

There are some countries in the world where a job keeps employees longer than work time requires. It may be the cause of high pressure and complicated tasks or simply desire to earn more money. All these causes are obviously negative developments.

For starters, overworking is witnessed due to a lot of tasks to deal with and their complexity. People who work in big companies are required to do many tasks, furthermore, if their colleague got cold, a boss might put on the rest of the stuff those deals. As a result, employees have to overcome not only their work but also some extra labor that makes work even difficult. To illustrate, recent research in Japan show that during the pandemic many people were ought to take more tasks due to the illness of their workmates, however, soon difficulty and pressure of plenty of assignments forced employees to stay longer in their workplaces, as a result, some of them even got such problems as insomnia.

Another thing is that for the sake of earning more money people would stay at work longer. It is common knowledge that people tend to earn as much as it is possible owing to family duties or their own life goals. For example, in Pakistan, people live in big families, in addition, wives usually take care of children, thus, husbands have to work longer on their jobs in order to show a boss their loyalty and as a result, increase the salary.

In conclusion, some of the countries around the globe have people working until late. That is mostly because of tough tasks, work pressure, and simply need to get a higher salary. Due to some health problems that may appear, the result of working late is negative.(BAND-7.5)

(SAMPLE-2)

In many parts of the world, there is an increased tendency for doing overtime. I strongly believe that this is a negative development and I will emphasize why this phenomenon occurs.

Firstly, when it comes to spending too much time at work, a significant role is played by cultural influence. That is to say, if the majority of employees choose to work extra hours due to increased workload, it will become an unwritten rule for all to stay and do the same. A good illustration of this could be seen in Japan, where this is a common practice in many companies. As a result, the suicide rate increased and the birth rate decreased significantly .Secondly, paying the debts could be considered another good reason for overworking. Furthermore, taking into consideration that some people have to provide for their families is another important aspect worth to mention. Recent studies have shown that  more than half of the world population  earn salaries which cover only their rent and debts and they are forced to find a second job or to work extra hours in order to cover all monthly expenses.

Although this phenomenon may be a common habit some individuals as a consequence of social pressure or a desire for a better lifestyle, I believe it might be a real danger for our health. On the long run, an imbalanced lifestyle will lead to chronic diseases and it will be hard to repair the damage created. Some minor conditions which are noticed at 90% of office staff are varicose veins and posture problems.

In conclusion, there are important reasons for which individuals choose to do overtime but this habit should not be encouraged by employers. Not only is this a practice which destroys our relationships, but also it affects our health in a negative way.  (BAND-7.5)

(SAMPLE-3)

In the present age, in a few, countries individual spends more hours at work. In this essay, I will highlight the major concern of people spending extra hours at work. I think it is a negative development as it not only affects their health but also their relationship with their families.

To begin with, there are several factors that show the reason for people working extra time. First and foremost, individuals think spending more time in the office is the best way to impress their seniors but they forget that their mental well-being is very important. Moreover, to earn some extra perks working professionals not only spend much time at work but also get the chance to get free meals in the company. For example, one of my friends spends almost 15 days and nights at the office last month, So that he can get free meals and impress his seniors by giving extra time to the company.

In addition, married men are often seen spending more time at the company as they have some personal problems with their partner. Moreover, unmarried couples are the ones who love to spend more time at the organisation in order to get their personal space from their families. For Instance, in a recent survey of Times of India in 2015 people who have some personal issue in their marriage love to spend more time in office?

In conclusion, spending long hours at work is a negative development as it not only makes you mentally ill but also affects your relationship with your loved ones.

(BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-4)

The issues of whether spending long hours at work has a negative impact on human in any aspect have been raising debates. Some might say that this trend can lead to many detrimental effects such as physical health deterioration and suicide commitment. On the contrary, others insist on the view that earning more is what they receive from spending more time at work. Standing from general viewpoints, I agree with the former opinion for the following reasons.

To begin with, working overtime at a high frequency for a long time can be seen as the main reason for many adults to have physical disease and commit suicide. First of all, working adults nowadays tend to spend all of their time sitting and staring at the computer screen, as a result, they are susceptible to illnesses relating to eyes and posture. Secondly, working without having sufficient leisure time can cause people to suffer from mental illnesses like anti-social or stress. As a consequence, they are prone to kill themselves due to their emotional instability. Finally, working without having sufficient time to interact with reality can make individuals degrade their communication skill since they do not often engage in verbal communication.

On the other hand, others claim that money is the main motivation that compelled them to work more due to the fact that they need to pay for their living. However, money can not afford individuals happiness and healthiness. Once you have sacrificed your time and money to earn more, you cannot pay the doctors or psychologists to bring you back in time when you were healthy and happy.

In conclusion, it is indisputable to say that sacrificing more time for work can exert adverse effects on humanity.

(BAND-7)

Essay 43

43) Human activity has had a negative impact on plants and animals around the world. Some people think that this cannot be changed, while others believe that actions can be taken to bring about the change. Discuss both and give your opinion.

The expansion of the human race is at the cost of the lives of the animals and the plants. Some people argue that this activity can’t be stopped, however some believe that it has to be curbed by making proper plans. I also support the latter idea, as the flora and fauna have to be preserved for the fear of extinction and the development has to be made at the barren places.

On the one hand, growth of the mankind leads to the development of new towns and cities. This construction is being done by cutting the forests and killing the beasts. Secondly, due to the lack of planning, the new places are near the water resources, thus disturbing the ecosystem. Moreover, men hunt the wildlife for the meat and the leather products. Therefore, all this has a negative impact and that attitude can’t be changed. For instance, according to the UN resolution, countries of the Asia are overcrowded and are built by sacrificing the nature.

On the other hand, there is a belief that the concepts of the origin of new societies have to be amended, in order to prevent the further damage and I also back this idea. Firstly, the behaviour of the people towards the natural sources has to be changed. Furthermore, the government has to put a ban on the destruction of plants for building houses and factories. In addition, the citizens are to be encouraged to plant more trees for the reduction of pollution. For example, the same model is being followed in the European countries.

To conclude, I think that the activities of mankind have to be under strict vigilance in order to keep the world green and to keep all the species alive.

(BAND-8)

(SAMPLE-2)

In recent years human activity have done much damage to the environment, some are arguing that these behaviors cannot be changed, while other thinks that we could take measures to protect our surrounding. In this essay I will be discussing both views and why in opinion there many things we can do as individuals to overcome this issue.

To begin with, many people nowadays have this opine the advancement of technology have made our lives much easier and convenient. The price for this is the damage that we are doing to other creatures and the environment. For instance, urbanization has decreased the over population in certain areas which was a major problem, but in the other hand this destroyed the habitats of many animals and planet. Moreover, deforestation has led to construct many rods which helped decrease traffic jam.

However, due to the fact that we human are the main cause of loads of environmental disasters such as climate change. The last thing we can do is avoiding further damage. For example one of the major causes of climate change is the greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide emission from vehicles. Therefore, By using public transportation or walking rather than using cars daily will decreased the amount of fumes that is exhaust from cars. Furthermore, segregating our waste before dumping them in to biodegradable and non-biodegradable containers. In addition to that governments should put penalties on the company’s factors that produce above the legal amount of carbon emission.

In conclusion, although human is the cardinal reason for many environmental issues. This does not mean that they cannot be part of the solution.

(BAND-6.5)

(SAMPLE-3)

It is believed that due to the actions of people, there is a danger to the existence of flora and fauna. Though certain individuals think that it is not manageable due to increase in population and changes in lifestyle. However, others feel that by taking some measures like strict laws and awareness can lead to the positive outcomes. In my opinion, the situation can be handled by taking required actions.

Human beings have made the life of plants and animals difficult for their own benefits and luxury. Firstly, the major impact on living beings other than Homo sapiens is because of an increase in the population which has resulted in the deforestation. Trees are cut to cater the ever increasing requirement of new houses which also affects the animals as their natural habitat is destroyed. Secondly, modern lifestyle leads to high use of plastics and other non-renewable items. All this waste is thrown in water bodies without treating and it becomes a threat to water animals.

Despite, causing so much danger, it is possible that necessary remedies are taken to prevent the further damage. To start with, general awareness about population control should be created amongst the citizens. For instance, in India, electronic and print media are used to spread the advantages of having a small family. Moreover, strict rules and regulations should be implemented by the government to avoid the use of materials that are harmful for the environment. To illustrate, in many countries use of plastic is banned and heavy penalty is imposed upon the usage of the same.

In conclusion, I would say although enough danger has been caused to the environment by people, it can be saved by the combined efforts of both public and the government. As it is rightly said, that it is better late than never.

(BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-4)

It goes without saying that the reduction or the extinction of plants and animals is one of the most important issues facing us today. While some people believe that nothing can be done to solve the negative impact of human activity on the wildlife, I agree that there are a lot of things that we can do to raise people’s awareness of bringing about a change.

Humans have destroyed the natural world. Our activities are leading to the extinction of animals and plants. The population has been increasing day by day. For this reason, thousands of hectares of forests have been cut down for shelter, agriculture and land for building cities… Additionally, the demand for luxurious products such as leather belts, shoes, leather jackets, clothes, and products that are made of animal skin or any other parts are climbing up. Rare flora and fauna are gradually disappearing by human greed.

However, there is still to change the present situation and we can stop if people along with the government made some precautions to cease the bad activities of humans. For instance, the government should start to replant the forest and convincing people why we still need the wildlife and forests so as to balance life on earth. Individuals can also spread awareness about the destructive effect that some of our activities have on the planet.

To sum up, sadly, some of our actions have taken a toll on the wildlife. But it is not too late to embark on restoring and conserving the natural world.

(BAND-7)

Essay 44

44) In modern society, it is possible to go shopping, work, and accommodate via the Internet without face-to-face contact with one another. To what extent do you think this is a positive or negative development?

These days using online systems have become common. While some claim that individuals can use the internet for more convenience such as shopping, work, and learning without the onsite process, others believe there are some negative reasons that people can face from the internet. This essay will examine the reasoning behind my opinion and why I support the latter one.

To begin with, there are several disadvantages to online media use in society. The most important thing is for the workers that their careers focus on practical work. This means that they would not able to do their job on the internet. A clear example of this is during the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the employees who work in construction in Bangkok will lose their job. Another thing to consider is the pupil’s education in university. This is because the online learning curriculums are not suitable for students that study by using a practiced skill.

In addition, there are some factors to online shopping. One significant thing is many customers use applications to order reasonable things online, for instance, furniture and domestic tools and they cannot try the real product from the shop. In other words, people will not persist in the trustworthiness of a salesperson. So, this will easily be tricked by the shop which has no reviews. A good case in point is individuals in Thailand must order the brand product at a cheap price from social media. Then they will find out that it is a fake

In conclusion, it seems to me that people should do some activities regardless of the internet. If in the case they have to see or practice the real situation, it will be much better than the online system.  (BAND-8.5)

 (SAMPLE-2)

In this tech-savvy modern world, people across the globe are dependent on the internet for their everyday activities like online banking, purchasing products on E-commerce websites, and telecommuting. This trend gradually eliminates the human touch due to increased online communications. However, in my perspective, online technology provides many benefits such as flexibility and convenience for customers and employees.

To begin with, over the last decade, one cannot deny that E-commerce applications have changed an entire perspective of shopping by providing  greater convenience and flexibility. For instance, If you have the internet you can place an online order from anywhere at any time which saves fuel and time as this eliminates the commute from/to shopping centres. Besides local orders, you can place international orders from your home or workplace, the business owners take responsibility for the shipment and delivery of your items to your address.

In addition to e-commerce websites, It enables an opportunity for some workers to finish their assignments remotely without visiting to workplaces as a result it reduces traffic congensation and reduces pollution. This is because the number of automobiles used to commute to the work decreases which in turn reduce the carbon-dioxide and traffic. Similarly, such development opens the door for employers to recruit resources across the globe and ensure their services have no downtime during natural disasters. For example, during the pandemic, many nations were in a lockdown due to which some people were stuck in different countries, but, fortunately due to the telecommuting the services across many sectors were uninterrupted.

Finally, to recapitulate, internet services are the greatest innovation for mankind. Although one-on-one personal communications diminish due to such innovations; however in my opinion online systems are beneficial for the society, and the above-mentioned analysis of workers and customers will prove it.

Although the way that families are living has been oversimplified by using cyberspace. For example, they can accomplish their purchase, work, or even interact with one another virtually, there are some drawbacks too.

On the one hand, needless to say, that these days everything has computerized. So, nearly most of the nations should carry out their tasks in this way. Likewise, they become over reliant on doing their duties by computers, which is catastrophic. To illustrate, the folk have lost touch with society because they pass their hours surfing the Internet, shopping online or so on, which may affect either their family ties or relationship. Furthermore, having overused these possibilities, their lifestyle turned into a sedentary lifestyle, which causes a lot of diseases. For instance, society would be apt to a variety of illnesses, which consists of obesity, heart attack, depression.

Having said that, cutting-edge technology is associated with significant convenience, which is undeniable. Besides, the new means of communication have superseded conventional methods like meeting nation face-to-face, which in long run is likely to help the steady of family bonds. Similarly, if the public spending less time caommuting to work or go shopping, they would economize on the costs. As a result, it might affect their well-being. In addition, traffic congestion can be influenced drastically when individuals have accessibility to do their responsibilities at lower prices in comparison to go in person.

To recapitulate, even though using the wide web may have some negative points on the population life, such as losing touch with society, changing their lifestyle. Its advantages far outweigh the cones because it is more convenient and it can lessen the expenses of householders or alleviate the traffic jam.  (BAND-6.5)

 (SAMPLE-4)

The feasibility of shopping, working and communicating through the Internet is gradually eliminating the necessity of in-person encounters. I believe the merits of this opportunity outnumber its demerits and the lowered volume of traffic in addition to the possibility of long-range communication will be discussed as reasons for this claim in this essay.

One chief benefit of using the Internet as a means of making purchases, working and communicating would be the lowered demand for transport, through eradicating the need for face-to-face contact. Such decreased volume of transportation would result in fewer harmful gas emissions which could significantly contribute to creating a cleaner environment. Furthermore, reduced commuting burden yields more free time for individuals. It could be spent in various ways such as working, studying and socializing with family and friends to name a few, which would be more productive and enjoyable.

Another key merit of using the Internet would be the emergence of state-of-the-art telecommunication applications. These technologies have made it possible for those with access to the Internet to get in touch and send and receive audiovisual content by pushing just a few buttons. This presents a stark contrast to the situation only a few decades ago, when long-distance communication was possible solely through paper-based letters, which could possibly take months to reach the recipient.

There are, however, some drawbacks to online communication, in particular the possibility that the lack of contact brought by technological advancements could potentially weaken human bonds. Taking into consideration that humans are sociable species, this could pose a dire threat to our mental health. This predicament, however, would be mitigated by the extra free time technological developments create for us. This free time could be spent with friends and family and in the long run would strengthen our relationships and improve our emotional wellbeing.

To recapitulate, the Internet’s demolishing the need for person-to-person contact brings about numerous benefits. A more sustainable environment as well as more free time generated for individuals, a reduced need to commute in addition to the feasibility of conducting long-distance communication in the easiest way possible, are all instances of the above-mentioned merits.

Essay 45

45) Some people believe that non-academic subjects should be removed from the syllabus so that children can concentrate only on academics. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Opinions are divided on whether academies should include non-professional subjects in the curriculum or not. While there are arguments on both sides, I believe it is more beneficial to dedicate student to only educational courses.

One reason why non-academic subjects might seem appealing is that they may help students to enlarge their knowledge horizons and help to develop their personality. Schools often place a high emphasis on studies related to sports or crafting in an attempt to improve a student both mentally and physically. Moreover, children may gain better social skills by attending classes that involve group work activities. Games, team works or other activities engaging students together often help children to improve their social abilities by cooperating with their classmates.

On contrary to this, non-academic studies will occupy a potentially large amount of student’s time. Children are often already overloaded by the major subjects they study, being unable to cover their materials. The introduction of additional studies would contribute even more to their struggle. Another point to consider is that if students become more focused on particular studies, then there is a higher chance that they will occupy a prestigious career. By eliminating irrelevant subjects from the curriculum, students will have a possibility to concentrate better on the particular sphere and develop a strong knowledge base in that field. As a result, they will have better job prospects in the future for a specific profession.

To conclude, some institutions are concerned that including additional subjects in the curriculum encourages children to develop skills in several fields. However, I believe students must focus only on subjects relevant to their field of study since it will ensure the best career paths for them.   (BAND-6)

(SAMPLE-2)

Subjects in the classroom course work are chosen meticulously so that they enlighten the students’ learning process. However, non-educational domains receive a conflict welcome as the school of thought considers that it breaks the child’s attention, whilst others deny it. I strongly contempt the former conviction and elucidate my point of view with suitable reasoning.

To commence with my disagreement, I opine that non-curriculum subjects  together with main subjects enhance the overall personality of the scholar. Such fields benefit to gain self-esteem as well as modified their physique and cognitive abilities. For instance, making sports a vital part of the studies is a good approach in building pupil physically and mentally. Besides, games assist to focus better. It is truly said that a sound mind stays in a healthy body. Hence, if students developed physically, then they work determinately in addition to performing better academically.

Probing ahead, extra disciplines which include moral and social value education are indispensable because they teach pupils how to live peacefully in a community and respect everyone. For example, nowadays numerous schools have introduced moral life subject in the curricula. Therefore, education’s main forte is to make amiable humans and not emotionless cramming robot. It would be the wrong step to barricade extra- domains that provide life skills.

In conclusion, according to my perspective, school is a miniature society. Whatever an individual learns from the institution return to society. Thus, it is paramount to impart the right education even if it is achieved by adding un-academic fields.  (BAND-9)

 (SAMPLE-3)

It is irrefutable that some masses tend to believe that non-academic courses are not mandatory and should be removed from the syllabus for better performance of the students. I agree with the view and the essay will discuss the viewpoint with clarification and suitable examples in the forthcoming paragraphs.

To commence with the view that dwellers who consider students should concentrate on just academic subjects into studies and non-academic courses should be removed from the syllabus because they think if students take part in non-academic courses so they cannot be able to concentrate easily on their studies and it will totally affect their level of performance. The second consideration is that giving too much time to non-academic sports, extracurricular activities and competitions all things decrease their time for studies and they would have to face a lot of difficulties in the coming future.

Furthermore, becoming a successful person is not child’s play these days in this competitive world. If students will take a part in non-academic programs so they cannot make true their parents’ dreams like what their parents really want to get from them and what they are thinking about their future as well. Apart from ,that there are some considerations that if schools banned non-academic subjects to study so students cannot build themselves by facing day to day life completions and value of curricular activities because non-academic sessions like sports can help them to know about  failures and winning which everyone faces these days in each and every field.

To epitome, there are both considerations with the statement but academic values are the most imperative part of studies which can facilitate learners to grow and get high paid income jobs in the coming future.  (BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-4)

Nowadays there is increasing pressure on juveniles to have grand success in education, keeping this in mind, some people think of cancelling the extracurricular activities. The main reason for thinking of this is so that pupils could concentrate on educational content such as math and science. In my opinion, I did not agree with this notion and I will explain my reason in the following paragraph.

It is a fact that if the academic score is poor, there is a high chance of staying unemployed unless one really has a good family business. This is the main reason for parents to think on academic scores are excellent. Furthermore, parents also think that non-educational topics such as sports and cookery skills are unnecessary tests and give points to students. For example, in my school, the P.E. class was forced every student to play a sport different for each grade as commanded by the education ministry. So, there are various students and parents who think that why P.E. class must have a grade because the purposes of the subject want students to have healthy bodies. Some students lose average grade points because of failed physical exams which make them stressed.

On the contrary, if any student exceeds the expectations in cooking or sports, that can be a great opportunity to take part in the Olympics or to become a chef as a career. Topmost achievers in such non-academics do earn a lot of money and become famous. Although such chances are rare, one is still should encourage to be part of physical activities to have a healthy mind and body. I have seen examples of academic toppers who are having health challenges such as often approaching hospitals and being under medications.

To sum up, there should be consideration of physical activities and vocational subjects apart from academics, so that students will stay healthy and wise. Parents should not avoid such subjects because these subjects indirectly help in succeeding academically by having a healthy mind as a result of a healthy body.

  (BAND-8.5)

(SAMPLE-5)

Over the last decade, while recruiting interns from universities, organisations across the globe demands extracurricular activities from students. Some out of the box subjects have been added by some colleges to their curriculum but some parents claim that it is an unnecessary additional effort for their children. I disagree with that statement as non-academic courses open an opportunity for learners’ to explore  current trends and fulfil their passion.

To begin with, one cannot deny that along with education it is crucial for youth to get up to date with the current market trends which will help them to crack interviews. To explain further, to hire fresh college graduates most employers design evaluation exam questions concerning modern technology and the latest trends by opting for such topics along with their regular learning provides guidance to crack the interview. In addition, gaining expertise in the modern world trends allows trainees to start their own business as they gain immense knowledge on current trends but competition.

Besides current trends, most students prefer to have a secondary skill or passion like art, robotics, sports, and politics. Along with primary skills, students should have an option to accomplish their desired secondary training, colleges should have an infrastructure to support youth to fulfil learners’ aspirations. For example, As per a recent survey conducted by the Oxford Education Department, 90 out of 100 students aspired to master two skills at the same time.  Furthermore, this will enable an opportunity for them to study multiple courses at the same time as a result it saves time and energy.

Finally, to recapitulate, extracurricular activities should be a part of the education process to incorporate students’ desires. Although some individuals believe it is an extra effort for students. However, I think out of the box topics are required due to the above-provided reason like interviews and fulfilling their passion.

Essay 46

46) Some today argue that schools are no longer necessary because children can learn so much from internet and be educated at home. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

These days, exploring the world of learning through school has been beneficial for students to provide a conducive environment of education. Some individuals who hold the believe that learning in school is not essential anymore due to the demand of advanced technology wherein they replace the approach of learning via internet. I strongly disagree with that notion because there are numerous consequences that could affect the welfare and well-being of the young and old learners to achieve their respective educational growth and profession in the future.

To begin with, it could cause a huge detrimental effect to the profession among teachers, tutors and other institution in the school. Learning through by your own self with the use of internet could create a vast confusion and despair. As we know, majority of the people rely on computers and mobile phones to navigate facts and information but still the quality of interaction, education and engagement are limited and insubstantial. For example, after we got hit by covid pandemic the classes were suspended for how many days that lead to uncertainty by providing modules and lectures online via zoom to promote a new strategy to able to cope to the missed classes. Therefore, the internet made the whole learning experiences different where it makes student get bored and uninterested to the subject matter that could jeopardized their grades and performance.

Furthermore, there are vast uncertain thoughts about learning via internet where ambiguous and imperfect in some ways. As we tackled the perilous journey of students to gain knowledge by depending on internet somehow we questioned ourselves if this information are genuine and legit to justify the answers to our problem. In my opinion, there are many ways to improve learning by grabbing information to the library, compromising discussions with tutors, especially from our second home, in short the classes that nurture our being. In other words, we should not jeopardize the old-fashioned way because not all can navigate the pure essence of learning.

Conversely, the advantage of learning via internet is accessible and convenient to anyone who wants to learn by their own way. There are underprivileged individuals who do not have access in education due to lack of financial support so they rely free online classes or any platforms that are essential to support their personal growth and mentality. For instance, YouTube is one of famous internet websites that covers a wide range of interactive learning and entertainment.

To conclude, the internet brought a phenomenal changed in our lives especially for aspiring students in this world, however, I strongly believe that we should not disregard the value of actual classes in the school whereas the government and the family must imply awareness, guide and support to their people for a better pathway of learning.

(SAMPLE-2)

In these days, technology growing very fast and provided everything to people at home through an internet even it is education. Because of, amelioration in technology some people think that an organisation which are education provider are not necessarily children could get all information from online resources while sitting at home. Indeed, in my mind, there is now convincing evidence that school is still very important for an individual developer. In this essay, I shall described the importance of school.

To begin with, schools are the main place to learn an adequate, as everyone knows that addicts are as compulsory as education for the child, to be a better person in their life. Children learn how to manage their time by submitting an assignment on the deadline and attending their classes. They also learn to obey their teachers and parents, which is an another valuable lesson through the schools. Secondly, when they are going to the school they make friends and learn how to be social and also develop the feeling of sharing and caring, for example, submitting a presentation on time before the end date, caring if someone sick or helpless is the main adequate, which I learned from my school.

Furthermore, school plays crucial role in a child’s physical growth. Many class activities which are designed to teach them study lessons involved physical exercises also put superb impact on their health.  Activities such as, running and game competitions enable individuals to obtain certain types of physical goals. On the other side, learning on the internet can put a much more burden on their minds and could make them clumsy. By involving the physical exercises in learning could improve their capacity of study because children will not be bored, for instance, in first term, singing and dancing on the poem is one the best example of this notion.

In conclusion, I strongly disagree with the notion that, schools are not necessary. School is very important from the past and these places will be important in the future too. Learning on the internet will not enable to children proper educated and physically strong.

(BAND-8)

(SAMPLE-3)

Nowadays, a great number of people believe that children can be educated at home rather than in schools, due to the vast amount of information that is now available online. While it is argued by some that this trend has a positive effect, because of the fact that intimate environment can provide more confidence to some children, I completely disagree and think that parents without formal training should not teach their own children.

On the one hand, some argue that studying in a known and comfortable place can help certain children to progress more easily. Some children are shy and have low self-esteem and thus may feel more comfortable to learn in a quiet and non-competitive atmosphere. For example, in a class of 40 students, there will always be several students that will know the answer more quickly than others. A slower learner may find this environment difficult to cope with.

On the other hand, In my opinion, children should be educated only at schools, due to the fact that parents are often not capable of providing their children with good education. Teachers are professional workers who possess the knowledge and experience on how to educate youngsters, as oppose to parents without any formal training. For instance, A father who himself suffer from problems with concentration will not be able to educate his children properly.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that children should not be educated at home and must attend school, due to the fact that teachers are the only ones who have the ability to teach young learners in the right way.   (BAND-6.5)

(SAMPLE-4)

There is no doubt that in this present world the usage of the internet is constantly on the rise. It’s indeed changed the way we learn and live. Many people encounter the significant value of a traditional classroom. Others argue that these online classes have a massive impact on children’s knowledge. I have to say that I personally agree with customary education. In this essay, I am going to discuss both views and concluded my own opinion.

One obvious advantage is that Schools is the place where kids can learn manners, knowledge and new skills. For example, learning speech, sports and communication skills. Therefore, is a place for students to engage with others and learn from their mistakes as well as to discover their ability also they can implement their skills in a real life? Another benefit is , teachers can provide help to individual students.so they could learn to improve themselves For instance , give them feedback and face to face interaction.

Turning to the other side of arguments, children can absorb much information through modern technology at home. In terms of positive ,side the online class is flexible and convenient  to use but not all can provide it because it is cost-effective another reason it need parents commitment to follow their children performance which is not all parents are available

In conclusion, the reasons to support the customary education are that students can learn how to physically communicate and knowing their weakness. Regardless of the value of the Internet we cannot get away from the long-established learning system.

Essay 47

47)  Some people think that real life skills like cooking, housekeeping and gardening should be included in the curriculum as compulsory subjects? Do you agree or disagree? Explain your opinion, using specific reasons and details

It is often argued that colleges should make life skill subjects such as cooking food, housekeeping and gardening as mandatory courses for all students. I fell learning these life skills is good for efficient living and I agree that making them obligatory for all students will bring great benefits to them in foresight. The basis for my views is both personal and professional.

From a personal point of view, learning life skills is important and must be learned by every individual. While skills like cooking were essentially taught by parents and grandparents to their children but in today’s nuclear families when most of the kids move out of their homes for college studies even before they are an adult, children are unable to learn even the basic skills of cooking and rely on instant food and takeaways, which may be prepared unhygienic ally, for their daily meals, thus affecting their health in the long-term. For instance, the number of hospital cases due to the consumption of unhealthy and unhygienic meals is on the rise. Thus, know how to cook can help a long way in developing the habit of cooking and consuming homemade healthy food.

Alternatively, from a professional perspective, cooking, housekeeping and horticulture are growing avenues of employment. For example, in Canada, Chefs and food processing assistants’ providers are paid well always in demand as there is currently a shortage of skilled manpower. Learning these skills professionally will multi-equip people to deal with times of job loss or if they may want to explore these avenues as part-time employment. Therefore, these skills also equip people for an alternate career.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that real-life skills must be included as required subjects of the curriculum as it is always beneficial for the students in the long run and it improves their lifestyle and health as well as provides them with alternate avenues of employment. (BAND-7.5)

(SAMPLE-2)

In our modern society, pupils learn various subjects for their future life. For example, they study languages, science and music. Moreover, recently some citizens believe that students should learn real-life skills like cooking, housekeeping and gardening as compulsory subjects. I agreed with this statement since real-life skills are vital for our life.

To begin with, learning real-life skills is more important for people, especially the young generation. 70 years ago when our grandparents worked, all people did not need to learn life-skills because the majority of men worked outside and only women did housekeeping, moreover women had enough time to learn such things. Conversely, nowadays a large number of people live alone since dozens of women have started work and become independent compared to before. Therefore, this makes clear that students should learn real-life skills as compulsory subjects for living better by themselves.

In addition to that, getting real-life skills can increase the level of satisfaction with our life. For instance, recent research conducted by the Japanese government has reported that people who learned real-life skills answered a 30 per cent higher score than their counterparts for the question “Do you satisfy with your daily life?” Similarly, One of the famous researchers called Yoshi in Tokyo university analyzed that citizens with good real-life skills feel less stress and can live healthy because they are good at these skills thanks to the curriculum. Thus, it becomes apparent that it is a wonderful idea that pupils study real-life skills.

In conclusion, learning real-life skills is more important compared to before with the high percentage of people who living alone, as well as it makes our health condition better with less stress. Therefore, I agreed with the opinion that real-life skills should be included in the curriculum as compulsory subjects. After a thorough analysis of this subject, it is predicted that the number of schools which teach real-life skills to children will be increased significantly in these few decades.

(BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-3)

Some people think that real-life skills like cooking, housekeeping and gardening should be included in the curriculum as compulsory subjects. In my opinion, I agree partially with this notion and I will explain my reason in the following paragraph.

On the one hand, learning life skills is important and must be learned by every individual. While skills like cooking were essentially taught by parents and grandparents to their children but in today’s nuclear families when most of the kids move out of their homes for college studies even before they are an adult, children are unable to learn even the basic skills of cooking and rely on instant food and takeaways, which may be prepared unhygienically, for their daily meals, thus affecting their health in the long-term. For instance, the number of hospital cases due to the consumption of unhealthy and unhygienic meals is on the rise. Thus, knowing how to cook can help a long way in developing the habit of cooking and consuming homemade healthy food.

On the one hand, making life skills in the curriculum compulsory subjects will make drawbacks. Firstly, Nowadays, There are a lot of compulsory subjects and inside the lessons have more content. For example, Science included physic, chemistry, biology and astrology. Secondly, Not every students prefer to learn some real-life skills. For instance, Boy students maybe do not prefer to learn cooking or gardening. Especially, If some real-life skills subjects appear in the transcript and they have a bad score, I think it will make average scores decrease for real-life skills subjects.

In conclusion, I think life skills subjects are important but should be an elective course for interested of children.

 (BAND-7)

 (SAMPLE-4)

Cleaning home, making dishes and lawn maintenance are the basic aspects of day to day work. It has become thought by a few individuals that it should be mandatory to include these topics in the schedule. I completely agree with this statement and in my opinion, it is extremely important to add moral values to a person’s life. Relevant reasons to support my opinion with examples will be given in the impending essay.

To commence with, when an individual has been given knowledge on these matters, it will add a sense of responsibility and discipline. If someone becomes aware of household activities, it may give them a chance to explore. Also with the achievements of those small tasks comes a proud feeling of accomplishment that encourages doing more activities. For instance, those children who are assigned to handle their personal belongings come to be more mature in society

Furthermore, Gardening enables a man to come closer to nature. He may learn more about the environmental cycle and how it plays an important role in human life. Environmental pollution is the major crisis in today’s world which may be cured if education is provided to keep yards clean and green. For example, planting trees to make the garden look beautiful not only attracts the eyes but also soothes the lungs.

In conclusion, it is obvious thought that learning about routine affairs is the need of the hour that may not only, boost your health, but also, uplifts your values to make you more confident.

Essay 48

48) Some cultures appear to give preference to older people than younger people while other cultures seem to prefer the younger generation. Which do you think is better? Discuss including examples from your own knowledge and experience.

It is true that the older generation, in most of the cases, adheres to many traditional values, belief and old way of thinking and many of these are not suitable to make the youngsters ready to take challenges in this modern era. There are still some values and traditions that are useful and older generation should pass those values to the young people.

To begin with, many ideas that older generation still finds unavoidable have become less relevant for the young generation and it is a good thing that the youngsters have less faith on the superstitions our forefathers believed in. Besides, the traditional belief of educating a boy and upbringing a girl so that he becomes the breadwinner and she can become a good housewife is no longer accepted by the modern era. The traditional belief of fixed role for men and women are no longer applicable to this advance era where people believe in gender equity. Furthermore, the modern generation no longer agrees to take the fact that a student has to study to become either a doctor or an engineer. According to the old belief, these two are the careers someone must have. With the time, study and career have become quite different and the older tradition is no longer acceptable now. Moreover, young adults these days choose their life partners and decide when to marry which contradicts with the old tradition.

However, there are some traditional values that the youngsters should foster as those views are still beneficial and useful in this modern era. For instance, old generation strongly believes in the importance of being honest and they would rather die than to surrender to the corruption. If this generation can adapt to this single traditional value, the world would be a much better place. Our forefathers also valued the importance of working hard and taking pride in one’s dignity and work. These characteristics are ageless and should be passed to the new generation as well. We have become more materialistic and selfish these days while out older generation teaches us the value of family and society. The sense of community the senior people had are exemplary and would establish better family, social and cultural bonding.

To conclude, youngsters have to be ready to embrace the changed of the modern era while nurturing the traditional values that teaches them to have better future.

(SAMPLE-2)

It is sometimes argued that traditional lifestyles and behaviours which are favored by the old generation have nothing to do with the training of youngsters in a way that may require living in a fast-paced world. I completely agree with this statement.

In my opinion, traditions that had been settled by our ancestors are absurd to get considered in this revolutionised world. To take a living style of our predecessors as an example, teenagers in past centuries were bound to remain in nucleus families. However, younger generations are more likely to live independently nowadays which helps them to develop a variety of attributes in their personalities ranging from a higher level of confidence and a sense of responsibility to deal with the real world. These hands-on experiences help them to be better trained and prepared for the challenges in the real world. If these offspring were forced to follow the conventional ideology, they would have missed these much-needed traits which are crucial in becoming a successful member of an egalitarian society.

It is also argued that conventional values can restrict teenagers from thinking globally. So, it will make them the narrow-minded adults in terms of accepting different people from different cultures and backgrounds. For instance, our forefathers were highly reluctant to do shared business with traders of different ethnic groups of people in their time period. This ended up in limited trades. Therefore, I would argue that teenagers should be given the broader view of this universe with immense awareness of global issues, different languages as well as conflict resolution. It will allow them to broaden their horizons in regard to the understanding of this increasingly interconnected world. As a result, a prestigious place in the job market and a prosperous future will be assured for them.

In conclusion, I believe that traditional ethics should be ignored as it cannot assist in making our younger generation the productive members of a competitive society.

 (SAMPLE-3)

It is true that many older people believe in traditional values that often seem incompatible with the needs of younger people. While I agree that some traditional ideas are outdated, I believe that others are still useful and should not be forgotten.

On the one hand, many of the ideas that elderly people have about life are becoming less relevant for younger people. In the past, for example, people were advised to learn a profession and find a secure job for life, but today’s workers expect much more variety and diversity from their careers. At the same time, the ‘rules’ around relationships are being eroded as young adults make their own choices about who and when to marry. But perhaps the greatest disparity between the generations can be seen in their attitudes towards gender roles. The traditional roles of men and women, as breadwinners and housewives, are no longer accepted as necessary or appropriate by the most of the younger people.

On the other hand, some traditional views and values are certainly applicable to the modern world. For example, older generations attach great importance to working hard, doing one’s best, and taking pride in one’s work, and these behaviours can surely benefit young people as they enter today’s competitive job market. Other characteristics that are perhaps seen as traditional are politeness and good manners. In our globalised world, young adults can expect to come into contact with people from a huge variety of backgrounds, and it is more important than ever to treat others with respect. Finally, I believe that young people would lead happier lives if they had a more ‘old-fashioned’ sense of community and neighborliness.

In conclusion, although the views of older people may sometimes seem unhelpful in today’s world, we should not dismiss all traditional ideas as irrelevant.

(Sample -4)

Nowadays, life has changed dramatically due to technological developments and globalizations. Many orthodox ways of spending lives have become obsolete and outdated. Some people still adhere to their traditions and cultures and are very reluctant to accept new and modern ways of lives. However, some people state that in order to compete with the current challenges, we should train our younger generation with the latest and trendy ideas.

Firstly, people used to live in the joint family system in the past decades. This gave them the opportunity to learn from their ancestors about various aspects of life. There was always a special place for elder people of the family and younger used to obey and respect them and followed their instructions in every possible. Such kind of love and respect is hard to see in modern lifestyle. Adults nowadays have become more independent, and are showing less respect towards their parents’ decisions and other aspects of life.

Secondly, there has been an element of care for their family and other members of the society in the past. Now, everyone first thinks about their own benefit and less likely to care about others. By this, I mean that new ideas contribute in making our generation selfish and egoist.

Thirdly, there is a significant change in people’s behaviour in the modern world; they have less patience while doing any work. They have become less active and more opted towards shortcuts and less mean of work.

Finally, I strongly believe that traditional ways for preparing younger generation is idle and have many in-deniable benefits than modern ways of handling youngsters.

(SAMPLE-5)

Some people adhere to the opinion that the elders obtain of more importance than the young ones. They feel their contribution would be a massive contribution to the emerging generation. However, I completely disagree with this notion because the youth are far more capable of aiding in the development of society.

To begin with, some cultures tend to prioritize their senior citizens because of their tremendous life experiences in the past. These experiences can be reflected by their ability to cope with the typical challenges presented by work and personal issues. Moreover, their knowledge and wisdom represent significant features of one’s cultural heritage. Without them, the history and ancient traditions of a country will be unidentified. For instances, the majority of the arts and culture industries tend to base their crafts on the history of their culture and traditions; this, in turn, makes way for the next generation to appreciate and preserve their masterpieces.

On the contrary, for an economy to cope with the innovative modernization, the role of the youth should be of primary consideration. This is because they tend to be far more adaptable to the technological breakthroughs than the elderly citizens. Moreover, they are fast learners, which make it easier for the various industries to train and develop them into a talented and stable workforce. Additionally, they are on top empowered for volunteer works, which are frequently performed these days because of the recent calamities in the territory. For example, since the old ones are more vulnerable to accidents and communicable diseases, the youth is then sought to join the social and private organizations in the distribution of food and health assistance for the impoverished communities. Hence, without them, our society may not be capable of stepping its feet forward for its betterment.

In conclusion, younger individuals are the primary asset in a nation’s vision for a prosperous future. Therefore, I stand with the view that the youth should be prioritized over older people due to their vast capabilities in sustaining the country’s health and wealth.

Essay 49

49) Some people think that companies and private individuals should pay to clean up the pollution that they produce, not the government. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The safety of the environment is becoming challenging for human beings day by day. Some people claim that pollution caused by various organisations and private individuals should be cleaned by them, not by the government. I strongly agreed with the statement that everyone should be responsible for creating their own mess. Let me elaborate in detail with some relevant examples.

To begin with, there are different kinds of factories and other companies who produce daily tons of garbage which causes soil pollution. For instance, research shows that 67% of the earth has been contaminated in India and the soil has become useless for growing harvest and other food plants. The farmers put excessive chemicals for the good production which caused air infection too and leads to numerous life risk diseases.

In addition, the machinery which businesses and factories use for different purposes that makes a loud noise which causes air pollution and makes the environment detrimental for the residents. To exemplify, chimneys used in the plastic factories which leave smoke and excessive noise? It also has deteriorated impact on people which cause them hearing problems and make the surroundings disturbed.

For solution, the authorities should make a law which should be followed by all private companies and individuals that they will dispose of the waste properly produced by them. Also, if they do not want to clean then they have to pay for the cleaning fee. As the government should invest that money in other fields such as health care facilities, education and other needs of a nation.

To put it in a nutshell, the private companies and individuals should pay definitely for different kinds of deterioration caused by them. Also, the government can make strict laws and should invest in other needs of society.   (Band-7.5)

(SAMPLE-2)

Environmental problems are the issue which needs proper consideration. Gone are the days when pollution level in the environment was less. Whereas nowadays, development in every sector lead to not only emission of toxic particles, but also use sums of garbage. It has been put forward that the bills of pollution should be paid by governments other than individuals. I disagree with this statement up to some extent.

There is no doubt that for some people, companies and private individual should not pay the bills of pollution. The first and foremost reason is that since large scale industries are more participated to pollute the environment. Large scale industries pay bills, then smart scale is equally responsible for paying bills of pollution. Consequently,  it causes arise many conflicts so paying bills of companies may be not a good solution. Second reason is the burden on the general public. A good illustration is that is mostly of pollution is carried out by transportation. As people will have to pay bills for this thing, increase burden on middle class or poor class family. As a result, individuals cannot live a better lifestyle.

However, there are a number of reasons that it is necessarily the best way. One approach is the industrialists pay for less amount of pollution bill.  They will be established waste treatment plants. Due to this, the harmful wastage of products will be reduced in land as well as decreased the level of pollution. Another measure is, if an individual pay taxes for these things, then people may be reduced environment activities which is harmful to the environment. Such as, people can less utilize fossil fuel consumption.

To sum up, the above-mentioned argument in a nutshell, it can be acknowledged that pollution is mammoth issue and the government should not leave it to individual and companies to pay its bill. It can However, make it mandatory for companies to set up effluent treatment plants so that pollution is minimised.  (BAND-7)

Pollution is one of the severe problems of the world. Thus, it is considered by many individuals that industries and public should bear the expenses for cleaning the garbage produced by them in spite of the government. I profoundly agree with this view because this will help to reduce pollution in our environment.

To begin with, individuals must pay for cleaning pollutants because they produce household waste in a huge amount. This is happening because they have adopted use and throw culture completely. In this practice, people buy new products and throw their working products after some time. Another reason is that they use a non-disposable item such as plastic bag a lot. These items cannot be recycled and be used for other purposes, so they end up as a land pollutants. Hence, by charging for waste management will deter them to release unnecessary garbage in the society.

Furthermore, while manufacturing the products, industrial firms release hazardous gases and garbage in a massive amount. These pollutants can be reduced in a significant amount if industries replace their old equipment with the advanced machines. But, they are not willing to replace their old machines as it requires a huge investment. To illustrate, if companies have to pay for the pollutants produced by them then they, certainly, will upgrade their current system to reduce and control the pollution. As a result, pollution will be reduced drastically from our environment.

To conclude, industrial firms and individuals are solely responsible for releasing garbage in an exorbitant amount. Hence, it is apparent to me that they are obliged to bear the expense for cleaning the pollutants released by them.

(SAMPLE-4)

Pollution is one of the burning issues which many governments find it hard to encounter with. At this juncture, in order to assist the governments, it is said that companies and private individuals should pay to clear the waste they produce. I feel this is a pro-active step to fight pollution.

When the responsibility of the company is taken into account, many companies produce large quantities of waste every day, and this may be solid, liquid or in gaseous form. It is to be seen that most companies not only have weaker provisions for waste management, but also are not seen taking much interest in the area of waste disposal. Therefore, it becomes a rational thought that they should either find appropriate waste management options or to pay the government proportionally for the waste they produce.

Turning to the case of waste management of individuals, it can be seen that a sizeable proportion of human population is helpless. The best option they have is to seek the help of the governing bodies and bear the expense of the proper disposal of waste. For example, many local bodies have government-aided volunteers whose service is paid, for the collection and segregation of waste from individual homes at regular intervals. This initiative is seen very successful, and in a great way reduces the incidents of ‘throwing away’ litter in public places.

I admit that the when governments levy tax from both the companies and individuals, like all the governmental services, waste management would be also the state’s responsibility. However, when the amount of waste is more and when it is disposed irrationally, governments have to employ extra efforts to manage it, and this requires more finance.

To conclude, though there are some criticisms when governments charge for waste management services from companies and individuals, I think its advantages outweigh its disadvantages.

Essay 50

50) Full-time university students spend a lot of time studying. Some say they should do other activities too. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is often seen in many societies that university students only focus on academic studies. However, some feel that they ought to do extracurricular activities like singing or social activities and I believe the same for two reasons.

It is understandable why some people claim that students should focus only on their studies for the academic period plays a vital role for any student. They feel like this because as for the tertiary level, students have lots of pressure for their studies so it is tough for them to concentrate to other activities. Even most of the science students, they have lab and other academic requirement which often deters them to do something else.

Although some might claim that students should not concentrate to extracurricular activities, I feel the opposite for credible reasons. Firstly, extracurricular activities such as singing or dancing might relax people, which will refresh students and can have a fresh start. While some might also say that students have busy schedules and hence cannot have spare time. I would counter this by saying that it is often better for students to have some relaxation in their life otherwise they will bore soon and cannot concentrate anymore. Secondly, in real life, students not only need the theory, but also the practical application. What do I mean by that is, the various activities, students often involved, such as social work as a volunteer might give them a real feeling of helping people. Even after completing their graduation, pupils can add some more values in their curriculum vitae, which might be a plus than the ordinary applicant for a job. It is, therefore, not surprising to convince why students should have some other activities in their academic life.

In conclusion, not only extra-curricular activities give students relaxation, but also it gives them a chance to add extra value to their future career. Therefore, despite others feel that students should only focus on their studies, I think it offers invaluable opportunities to them.  (BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-2)

It is undeniable that investing a significant amount of time to study plays a pivotal role in enriching academic performance. This is why many proponents believe university going students should solely concentrate on their studies, whereas others opine that they ought to search for other involvements. I completely agree with the statement and in this essay, my views will be shared on the favour of signing up for other activities.

First and foremost, pertinent non-academic engagements, such as a part time job often prepare pupils for their careers. This is critical for them because the experience would not only adapt them to a professional ambience, but also generate a lead to their future referees. Numerous business graduates, for instance, include their internship experiences, which they usually complete before their graduation, in their resumes in order to avail jobs quickly. In contrast, people with no such experiences pass a hard time since they cannot cope up with a corporate environment in the first few months.

In addition to that, extracurricular activities create some rooms for these young people to be mentally relaxed and active. That is to say, daily routines, which are consisted of full of exam and class preparation, would not be beneficial to produce better results. According to one recent study at the University of Cambridge, top ten per cent academic performers in a business class are heavily engaged with club and sports activities. On the other hand, studious individuals may not perform as strategically as others can because of one sided engagement.

To sum up, activities other than studying in a university life may usually be geared towards achieving professional experience before graduation and better grades. In my opinion, students should, therefore, spend their time on set diverse opportunities, which can be fruitful in their career.   (BAND-6.5)

Marriage is the most auspicious relationship that binds an individual with their soulmate. Most people argue that elders in the family are the best people to decide whom one should marry. However, despite various positive arguments supporting this view, I support those who feel that it should be a self-made decision.

To begin with, an individual spends their entire life with their spouse, hence it becomes the most important decision of their life, and everyone should have the freedom to make it on their own. While I agree that the elders have more experience in these terms, I believe every relationship is unique and independent of other’s opinion. Because, when a person makes their own decisions, they also work on making the right one and put efforts to protect their relationship despite the hardships.

Moreover, choosing a life partner by yourself develops a sense of accountability towards each other. People do not tend to depend on the support they may receive from their families to lead a happy and successful life. Although arranged marriages have a huge support from the elders and society, I trust that love marriages often do not have to rely on that support. (Sequence)  For instance, if a person is aware of the difficulties that they may face in the future, they are pretty much prepared for it in advance.

To conclude, love marriages not only give freedom of choice to individuals but also bring a sense of accountability in them for maintaining a strong relationship. Therefore, I believe that elders should not be choosing spouses for the young ones, rather it should be their own choice.  (BAND-6.5)

Regular university students utilize most of their period studying, however, some people suggest that they should also engage in other activities. This essay strongly agrees with the view that they should be versatile and will analyze better academic performance as well as good job opportunities as the principal reasons why people attending full-hours varsity should participate in other things also.

Firstly, higher institution learners who are not part-time scholars perform well in their studies when they avail themselves of other opportunities like part-time paid work, voluntary work, sports and other activities. This is because these actions stimulate the brain to function more effectively. More so, because they are not only studying they tend to utilize their learning hours adequately unlike their counterparts that are into studying alone. The latter, gallivant all day long thinking they have much duration to focus on learning. For example, I combined one hour paid task and studying as a daily student during my college days, however knowing fully well that I have limited duration to attend to my books, therefore I planned and make proper use of my  time table and in the end, I was on top of the class.

Secondary, combining full-time learning at the institute of education with other areas provide an individual with ample employment opportunities. This is because taking part in various exercises enriches one’s experience as well as curriculum vitae that are vital for interview. For instance, a friend of mine became fully employed just immediately after graduation from the University by a manufacturing company where she has been working as a part-time worker.

In conclusion, even though studying is good, full-time University scholars should involve themselves in other things so as excel both in education and employment.   (BAND-7)

(SAMPLE-5)

Students are usually under too much pressure and they have to face several challenges day by day. Undergraduates attending full-time universities are using most of their time studying. However, some believe that they also should use it on other things. I completely agree with the statement due to the body and mental health benefits of having a hobby.

On the one hand, in order to secure students better futures, full-time programs are too demanding. As a student, it represents a big responsibility. For that reason, too many are always taking lessons and doing homework. For example, some of them have scholarships to pay university fees. Then, maintaining specific grades on every subject is crucial. Since test failure is not an option, some may need to practice more times than average before exams. Yet, at the end of the scholar year, many would-be burn out.

On the other hand, due to health issues, undergraduates should increase their leisure moments. For instance, doing yoga, playing sports and, even playing puzzles are some of the recommended activities to improve body and brain activity. Since doing exercise regularly is the best way to avoid future problems, meditation and listening to music could diminish mental stress. Some others could prefer spending moments with their families and friends because they share the same interests. Moreover, reading at the end of a long study journey could help individuals to keep thinking on the same subject. In addition, hobbies are known to decrease stress and anxiety.

To conclude, while many students are making an extra effort to build their futures, it is important to increase their spare hours. Doing any activity after staying focused for several hours could be extremely beneficial.   (BAND-9)

(SAMPLE-6)

Some protesters argue that full-time undergraduates should take the charge of their duty, which only focus on studying instead of sparing some hours for other life events. However, most supporters bolster students should spend time exploring other activities. In my opinion, I definitely take a positive view of encouraging young men to broaden their horizons as wide as possible in their student age.

Firstly, existence is beyond study. Not only courses in school can students learn from, but also other tasks outside campus can teach them lessons. Taking doing part-time jobs as an example, lots of students build their self-reliance and acquire financial management skills, which college professors will not hand you. After graduation, office workers tend to have less time to explore unknown fields. The main reason is that working dominates most society members’ whole day, or humans become too exhausted to do other activities. That’s why I recommend people who are still in college utilize their time not only on degrees but also in other living experiences, for instance, being a volunteer.

Secondly, from the protesters’ point of view, doing other events outside the study distracts undergraduates’ attention. As the result, it erodes scores and brings adverse effects on their academy. Although getting a bachelor’s certificate is necessary for gaining job opportunities, putting all the concentration on studying causes drawbacks to career advancements. Because undergraduates who indulge themselves in books, they don’t know how to cooperate with other society members. Communication is a highly valued characteristic by employers.

In a nutshell, although focusing on the academy is a requirement for undergraduates, sparing parts of their lives to explore every aspect of living is worthy. The advantages of doing other activities outweigh the disadvantages.  (BAND-7)
