Describe a foreign country(culture) you want to know more about?

Short Version

The country that I want to explore is CANADA. Actually, some of my friends have been studying there. They told me a lot about life and culture in Canada.

Canada is situated in America continent. Area-wise, it is very big. It borders with USA and share the same language with America. Canada is often defined as a “society where all people are equal and where they share some fundamental values based upon freedom”

Culture of Canada is mainly influenced by British and French cultures and traditions but Canada has chosen to be a multi-cultural country where we can see diversity in cultures. English and French are two official languages of Canada. There is social security and safety for women and all people. Healthcare facilities are free for citizens. Employment opportunities are higher and work is distributed in hours to the people there.

Canada has a liberal social policy to welcome migrants in their country who want to settle down there. The migrants can become citizens there over time. There is a huge population of migrants from various nations who are now citizens of Canada.

The main festival of Canada is Christmas as most of the population is Christian. However, there is religious freedom to all. And migrants from other countries can freely practice their religion, establish their religious places and celebrate their festivals.

Canada is known in the world for high quality education system. There are a number of colleges and universities where students from all around the world join to gain first class education.

My friends are studying there and also doing part-time jobs. They say that they enjoy greater freedom in Canada. The country is beautiful. There are beautiful beaches to do fun. From my friends, I developed a desire to migrate to that country and undertake my higher study from there. This country gives opportunity to settle down there also.

So Canada is the country that I would to know more about.

I am fond of travelling and always want to learn about foreign culture, land and history. So I always try to collect new information about foreign countries.

Here, I would like to talk about a country which I want to explore. The country is Canada.it covers a large area in America continent. It borders with USA and share the same language with America. Canada is often defined as a “society where all people are equal and where they share some fundamental values based upon freedom”

Some of my friend have been studying there .They told me a lot about life and culture in Canada. While culture of Canada is mainly influenced by British and French cultures and traditions but Canada has chosen to be a multicultural country where we can see diversity in cultures. Some big corporates like Blackberry and Bata belong to Canada.  It gives a number of opportunities for making career as well as for personal growth.

My friends are studying there and also doing part-time jobs. They say that they enjoy greater freedom in Canada. The country is beautiful. There are beautiful beaches to do fun.

From my friends, I developed a desire to migrate to that country and undertake my higher study from there. This country gives opportunity to settle down there also.

So I am trying to gain more and more knowledge on education system, colleges, courses, job opportunities in Canada. I am sure I would be in Canada soon.

So this is the country that I would to know more about.

1. What do you think is the best way to learn foreign culture?

There are many ways through which people can learn about the new culture and country. I think the best method is to visit the place and stay there for some time, but everyone does not afford it, so the alternative way is the internet. Nowadays all information regarding the area is available on the internet. So people can visit the country’s official site and collect information from it.

2. What do you think is the biggest problem to work in a foreign country?

I think language is the biggest problem to work in a foreign nation. Another problem is the working environment and rules of the company because these are different from the native country.

3. Some people say that reading is the best way to learn about a culture, do you agree?

Well, I think practical knowledge is essential than theoretical. I mean to say a person gets more information when he/she visit the place, but as I said, everyone cannot afford it, so for that reading is the best way to get information.
