I like to work in a team. In a team, I can learn from other team members. Team members join together with same goal, and they combine their skills, knowledge and motivation to achieve the goal.

Last year, our Village Sarpanch appealed to all the villagers to come forward and help in cleaning the Village. There was a wastage dumping zone in the village which was spreading infections. 

So I joined hands with others. We were a group of 20 members who agreed to give service to the community. Village Sarpanch was acting as head of the group and giving direction to the members. He divided all members into two teams. Each team has 10 members. Our team took the responsibility and started working.We all were happy. Members were motivating and helping each other. I along with other team members cleared the garbage from that place and transported it to other distant location. Then the ground was leveled with layers of new soil. Then group members brought full grown trees and saplings and planted them inside the park in beautifully designed lanes. I myself planted 10 “Neem” trees in the park.

All group members were happy by contributing to this project. I enjoyed this community work with my friends in the group. I felt a great sense of satisfaction and peace at my heart.

This was a big project but when a group took the responsibility, it became easier.

So this was something that I enjoyed doing in a group.

Short Version

I like to work in a team. In a team, I can learn from other team members. I remember, once, I worked as a part of a team. It was the time of approximately 1 years ago when I was in 12^th Class, and my college arranged an event named Start-up India.

It was started on the instructions of chief minister of Punjab. By participating in this event, students got an opportunity to learn how to start a new business. I registered my name for the event.

As per procedure, supervisors divided all participants into groups and there were 5 members in my group. There was no team-leader or captain but all the team members were equal. Our team was given a topic. It was “Secure women” on which we needed to prepare a report.

In this report we wanted to know how to provide safety to women who work in cab business. So, we went to city Khana, and collected the data by talking to people. I played an essential part here because I talked to women and collected their views.

Thankfully, we did our whole work on time, with co-operation of each other. On the final day, I presented our project report in front of teachers. We were quite happy and all members of my team enjoyed working on this assignment. So, all team members contributed their efforts, knowledge and dedication to this collective work.

I think the best thing working in a team is that we can handle bigger tasks and share knowledge and improve our ideas, also motivate each other.

It was the time of approximately 2 years ago when I was in 5th semester of my graduation (or 12^th Class) and my college arranged an event named Start-up India.

It was started on the instructions of chief minister of Punjab. By participating in this event, students got an opportunity to learn how to start a new business and how to take support from business experts. When I heard about this event, then I got excited because I always wanted to learn more about business start-ups. I registered my name for the event.

As per procedure, supervisors divided all participants into groups and there were 5 members in my group. There was no team-leader or captain but all the team members were equal. Our team was given a topic. It was “Secure women” on which we needed to prepare a report.

In this report we wanted to know how to provide safety to women who work in cab business. So, we went to city Khana, and collected the data by talking to people. I played an essential part here because I was making interactions with women and collected their views.

Most of the people gave positive feedback and some did not. On the same night, I made presentation on laptop, and my other team members made project file. Thankfully, we had done our whole work on time, with co-operation of each other. On the final day, I presented our project report in front of judges. We gave answers to all the questions which were put by jury. Jury was looking impressed with our work. So, when result was announced, we were declared first runner up. That moment was memorable. We were quite happy and all members of my team enjoyed working on this assignment. So, all team members contributed their efforts, knowledge and dedication to this collective work.

I think the best thing working in a team is that we can handle bigger tasks and share knowledge and improve our ideas, also motivate each other.
