Most of the children of age group 5 to 14 are found to be involved in the agriculture by their parents in the rural areas. Poverty and lack of schools are the primary reasons of child labour in any developing country all across the world.

Childhood is considered as the happiest and vital experience in the life of everyone as childhood is the most important and friendly period of learning. Children have full rights to get proper attention from their parents, love and care from their parents, proper schooling, guidance, playing with friends and other happiful moments. Child labour is corrupting the lives of many precious children every day. It is the high level of illegal act for which one should be punished but because of the ineffective rules and regulations it is going side by side.

Nothing effective is happening to prevent the child labour from society as quickly as possible. Children are too young, cute and innocent to realize the things happening to them in the early age. They are unable to recognise that what is wrong and illegal for them instead they become happy getting small money for their work. Unknowingly they become interested in the getting money on daily basis and ruining their whole life and future.

India is a land where contrast people with their unique culture and diverse facets of lifestyle are living. Obviously, it is quite clear that we need to understand the meaning of national integration in our lives and follow everything to give a single identity of our country. People in India belong to different castes, races, religions, communities and cultural groups and lived together for years. Diversity of religions, castes and creeds has enriched the cultural heritage of the India which arisen here a composite culture however it is very clear that India has always lacked political unity.

Indian has attained only once a political unity in the history in 1947 when Britishers were forced to go from here. They had followed various types of planned policies to divide and rule here however finally they became unsuccessful. Some of the points like cultural unity, defensive continuity, constitution, art, literature, common economic problems, national flag, national festivals, national anthem and national emblem are promoting the National Integration in India.

Instead of being from different religions and cases we should recognize that all are one in order to build a strong and prosperous nation. We need to understand the real meaning of the unity in diversity in India. It never means kind of oneness should be here because of racial and cultural similarity, it means that oneness instead of great differences here. India is counted as the country having second largest population all over the world, where more than one thousand six hundred fifty-two languages are spoken and people from all major religions of the world are living here together. In spite of all differences we should co-exist here with each other peacefully without any political or social conflicts. We should enjoy the unity in this great country where everything is diverse to fulfil the purpose of national integration.

(35) WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Women empowerment is empowering the women to take their own decisions for their personal dependent. Empowering women is to make them independent in all aspects from mind, thought, rights, decisions, etc by leaving all the social and family limitations. It is to bring equality in the society for both male and female in all areas. Women empowerment is very necessary to make the bright future of the family, society and country. Women need fresh and more capable environment so that they can take their own right decisions in every area whether for themselves, family, society or country. In order to make the country fully developed country, women empowerment is an essential tool to get the goal of development.

The most famous saying said by the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is “To awaken the people, it is the women who must be awakened. Once she is on the move, the family moves, the village moves, the nation moves”. In India, to empower the women, first it needs to kill all the demons killing women’s rights and values in the society such as dowry system, illiteracy, sexual harassment, inequality, female infanticide, domestic violence against women, rape, prostitution, illegal trafficking and other issues. Gender discrimination in the nation brings cultural, social, economic and educational differences which push country back. The most effective remedy to kill such devils is making women empowered by ensuring the Right to Equality mentioned in the Constitution of India.

Giving priority to the gender equality facilitates women empowerment all over the country. To get the high level goal of women empowerment, it should be promoted from the childhood in each and every family. It needs women to be strong physically, mentally and socially. They need to be promoted for the survival and proper education of female child to really bring the dream of women empowerment come true.

Road safety is a safety measure to reduce the risk of road accidents and road side injury because of the mistakes of people while driving on the road. We cannot count the daily road side accidents and death of people because of the driving mistakes and lack of road traffic rules followers. Every person going on the road has risk of injury or death. Such as pedestrians, motorists, cyclists, passengers, etc.

Everyone needs to be well aware of the road traffic rules especially children and young people who are at significant road accident risks. According to the statistics (World Health Organization, 2008), it is found that most of the hospitalization cases and leading cause of death are because of the road trauma.

Road accidents have become very common due to the vehicle collisions and ignorance of proper road safety measures. The number of death is increasing due to the motor vehicle collisions by the people ignoring road safety rules. All the roads have been busier for full day where vehicle are running in their high-speed. People in the modern world are being used to of their personal transportation so there is more traffic on the roads than ever before. In such condition, it needs people to follow traffic rules and road safety rules to practice safe driving in careful manner. So that the road accidents can be reduced.

Road safety measures should be added in the school as an important subject so that students can get detail knowledge in their early age before driving. Most of the road accidents cases happened because of improper knowledge about operating vehicles and lack of proper road safety measures.

It is now becoming very unsafe to drive on the road day by day. It not only increases the life of vehicles; reduces the number of accidents too. Driver should check the brake system properly and well aware of the warning signs of failing brakes.

There should always be first aid box, emergency tools, sufficient gasoline, and proper functioning vehicle before going on the trip.

(37) FEMALE FOETICIDE

Female foeticide is in practice in India from the time of advent of technological advancements in medical field like prenatal sex determination in the 1990s. However, earlier to this, female childs were killing after their birth in many regions of the country. In the Indian society, female childs are considered as the social and economic burden to their parents so they understand that it is better to kill them before birth. No one understands its negative aspect in the future. The female sex ratio in comparison to the males has been reduced to a great extent (8 males per one female). It is not easy to compensate the sex ratio even if we stop female foeticide completely in the next few years.

Introduction

Female foeticide is the termination of a girl foetus in the womb before its complete term just because it is female. According to the statistics, it is found that male to female sex ratio is 102.4 males/100 females in 1961, 104.1 males/100 females in 1981, 107.8 males/100 females in 2001, and 108.8 males/100 females in 2011. It shows that number of male per female is increasing regularly.

Female foeticide was almost started in the early 1990s on the coming of affordable ultrasound technology in India.

The advancement of ultrasound technology in India came in 1979 however its spread was slow. But became widespread in 2000s. It is estimated that since 1990s, more than 10 million of female foetuses have been aborted because of being girl. We can see that female foeticide has been practiced through the history and cultural background. Earlier, people believed that male babies are superior as they would provide manual labor as well as lead the family lineage in future. Son is considered as family asset however a daughter is a liability.

Daughters are given less respect and priority than sons in Indian society from the ancient time. They did not have same access like boys in the areas of education, healthcare, nutrition, play, etc. In order to combat with sex-selective abortions, there should be high level awareness among common public. Satyamev Jayate, a most famous programme run by the Aamir Khan on TV has done great to raise awareness among common public through its first episode of “Daughters Are Precious”. Cultural interventions regarding this issue are need to be addressed through awareness programmes. Recent awareness programmes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, or Save girls campaign, etc have been made regarding girl’s rights.

Corruption is highly spread in the field of civil service, politics, business and other illegal fields. India is a famous country for its democracy but it is corruption which disturbs its democratic system. Politicians are highly responsible for all type of corruption in the country. We chose our leaders by having lots of expectations to them to lead our country in the right direction. In the starting they make us lots of promises however, just after the voting they forget all that and involve in corruption. We are sure that our India would be corruption free a day when our political leaders would be free of greediness and use their power, money, status and position in right direction to lead the country, not their own luxury and personal wishes.

We should select very honest and trustworthy leaders to lead our India just like our earlier Indian leaders such as Lal Bahadur Shastri, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, etc. Only such political leaders can reduce and finally end the corruption from India. Youths of the country should also need to be aware of all the reasons of corruption and get together to solve it in group. Increasing level of the corruption needs to take some heavy steps to get control over it.
